I was waiting for my son to take his driving test at Middlesex driving Academy in Winchester and decided to take a walk to Dunkin' Donuts. A couple of stores prior to Dunkin' Donuts. I noticed this little shop across the street called bagels and brew and decided to stop in to check it out. First of all the interior is adorable, but please be warned that there are a few steps down so not accessible for everyone. The staff is very nice and funny and they all seem to enjoy working together and were even supporting one of the workers who had some neck pain. Best of all the bagels are fresh and delicious with lots of options to choose from. Also, my thin, mint decaf almond milk latte really hit the spot. So much better than a Dunkin' Donuts latte! read more

A solid 3. Didn't change my life, but not offensive. There is a parking lot off the street, they have a great selection of bagels, the dining room is very clean and comfortable. We got there at 9am on a Friday and they were already sold out of many of the bagel flavors we wanted, so get there early for the widest selection. The bagel itself was good and was of good quality. The service was fine. I prefer Bagel World in Reading but can see how this is a favorite place for people living and working in Winchester. read more

I was on my way to Breuggers when I saw Bagels N Brew and stopped in around 8 AM. Everyone was pleasant and friendly. I ordered a dozen bagels. I quickly suspected the bagels were not made in-house when I couldn't see any equipment (confirmed by an owners comment in a review "delivered fresh daily") They certainly were not warm like our small local shop in Reading and I question the freshness. The taste was dry and uninteresting especially for a French toast bagel. Very pricey for a dozen bagels $19 but when the shop buys their bagels there has to be a mark up. read more

Nice staff, plenty of room to sit and work if needed, and they make a nice London Fog Earl Grey Latte, but I am sorry to say the bagels were dry and disappointing. My first clue should've been when they were automatically going to toast the bagel. I should have let them. I did however think their lox spread which had fresh dill in it was delicious. This is my favorite bagel place ever. The bagels are always warm and yummy and the service is always pleasant. I constantly eat here for lunch and the staff always makes polite conversation and are happy to help. Their sausage egg and cheeses are my personal favorite, but their shop offers so much more. I always like to find a new spot for my morning bagel and coffee. I found Bagels N Brew on my way to work this morning. The coffee selection was such a wide variety! We ordered online at 11 am on a Sunday and they ran out of chocolate chip bagels so we had to substitute it with something else. It's a small little shop in Winchester that has a huge selection of coffees and bagels. There was a pickup area right when you entered to grab your order. The lady at the cashier was very nice and answered all the questions we had about the coffee menu. There is some street parking and seating inside to eat your bagel. The bagel is very soft, chewy, and the perfect amount of dense. read more

Hidden gem! Found this place originally because I needed food on the Fourth of July. And again on thanksgiving morning. They are open most holidays and they always deliver such delicious bagels, sandwiches and coffee! Surprisingly good bagels and MUCH easer to access and order from their their competitor down the street. I ordered 2 dozen bagels for my office with cream cheese and lox. Folks gobbled them up. I'd order again from them again. I didn't have any of their coffee or other items, so I can't speak to those. read more

Not sure if the demeanor of the man operating the cash register today was the norm but if it is... yikes, so rude! He seemed to have more authority over the others working there so he could be management/ ownership. I was willing to get over his attitude once I received my food and coffee however the quality was as poor as his attitude. Do better. read more

The service was good and friendly, but unfortunately both the bagels and the brews left me disappointed. The bagels were similar to grocery store bagels and the decode tasted like it was powdered coffee, idk what suppliers they use, but it isn't up to par with the service. Delicious and Great Customer Service!! I had the Ferrero Rocher hot chocolate, a Banana hot chocolate and Hazelnut ice coffee and it was absolutely amazing and tasteful . We also had the bagel pizza and a sausage, egg and cheese on a egg bagel and it was so good . I highly recommend this place, especially with the 5 star customer service we received. I happened upon Bagels N Brew today and was delighted to find an authentic bagel shop in my back yard! I am from NY and have been hard pressed to find a bagel place that truly felt like "home." That is, until today--my first clue that they know their stuff was the fact that they have salt bagels! (Thank you!) So, I guess my pro tip of the day would be: feel free to park wherever at your own risk if and ONLY if you're getting take-away. If you're actually dining in, I suppose you'll have to wait painstakingly for one of the few parking spots actually designated for Pressed specifically to open. By the way, if you're picking up a take-away order, the take-out shelf is smack dab next to their side entrance opposite the side where you would normally order your food. It's one of those "blink once and you'll miss it" type things the first time visiting. From my vantage point, this place stays quite busy. Not surprising, considering the Burlington area in general. Clearly, a lot of folks come here mid-work day which is also the only reason I came here to begin with. Overall, not a bad lunch stop, though the parking can be slightly obnoxious. I'm giving Pressed Cafe in Burlington 4 Chipotle Short Rib bowls dubiously seasoned out of 5.

The breakfast menu includes plenty of options with filling portions of breakfast staples including eggs, benedicts, omelettes, pancakes, french toast, waffles, or breakfast sandwiches. The menu also offers several sandwiches -- including grilled chicken, boneless fried chicken, chicken salad, steak and cheese -- which are available all day for those heathens who don't crave breakfast foods at every opportunity. I had the Javah Grindah sandwich ($8), comprised of two eggs (over medium at my request), breakfast meat (ham, bacon, or sausage), and a side of James River BBQ sauce on a fresh grinder roll. Unfortunately.. although the description on the menu doesn't mention cheese, my sandwich came out with two slices of white American cheese. I hate having to ask a restaurant to do this, but I had to send it back because lactose. Our server apologized for the misunderstanding and brought a replacement sandwich without cheese out straight away. The sandwich was really tasty with the BBQ sauce. My dining companion preferred something lighter and opted for the Skinny Girl Pick ($12), comprised of two eggs, fresh avocado, fresh fruit, and a few slices of wheat toast, which she really enjoyed. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area! PRO TIP: Make sure you let your server know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions, in case the chef decides to use ingredients not listed on the menu.
