Box of bagels to share! They have awesome spreads to add to your bagel!?

When I visit my grandson's in Lincoln, I get to stop in at this local bagel & coffee and enjoy their goodies. It smells wonderful when you walk in, and of course you are welcomed by the happy baristas. I love the caramel latte! Or, as it has been renamed Karma-Latte, because 10% of proceeds go towards local non-profits each quarter! (*at participating locations, in store/drive thru only, regular sizes.) Currently, 10% from the Lincoln locations will be going to the Lincoln TeamMates Mentoring Program! I have tried their bagels and also their little breakfast quiches and they are both awesome! If you like a cozy, homey, coffee shop; this is the place to come for you to come in, sit down and have a cup of coffee and a bagel with a friend. Or get even more adventurous, and try a quiche and salad or some of their lovely pastries.

Daughter and I ate here very recently. She heard good things and so we wanted to give it a try. We went to the location on 84th St. in Lincoln. I got a Panini as well as the blueberry walnut salad and my daughter got a bagel with salmon and cream cheese. She said hers was good though she expected it to maybe be a little better. I enjoyed my Panini and I very much enjoyed the salad. As far as dining inside as we did, the temperature was very cold inside, so it was hard to be comfortable to be honest. We might give this place another try, but it might be for breakfast next time.

I found my new favorite breakfast spot! The smoothie was fresh and sweet. The lox bagel was great on a Jalapeño bagel. And I decided to get a Blueberry bagel for the road, I chose the honey almond cream cheese and FELL IN LOVE!! It was very packed and busy however the service was very quick! Good prices and a great atmosphere.

    Their breakfast sandwich. Very good!

I try to stop by whenever I'm in Lincoln. Their cream cheese selection is great. Bagels are ok but not bad for the area.

Your story states that Bagel Bin is "a pioneer of the New York-style bagel in Omaha and the city's inaugural destination for this quintessential treat." Because of that, our expectations were high. Unfortunately, our visit did not reflect what's described. The ordering area was unclear for first-time customers, with no obvious signage showing where to order or where to pick up. The main disappointment was the bagels. I always order a plain bagel as a baseline. Having grown up in Brooklyn, NY in the 60s-70s, I'm very familiar with what a true New York-style bagel should be: * A tight, dense crumb with tiny air pockets -- compact but still soft * A chewy crust, not crunchy -- a gentle tug when you bite * Clear freshness -- when warm, it should smell like flour, steam, and malt What we received was dry and lacking chew, with none of the aroma or freshness expected from a hot-water-boiled, freshly baked New York-style bagel. It tasted more like something that had been sitting than something just made. We were genuinely excited to visit and left disappointed, which is not something we expected given your reputation. If this was simply an off day, I'd appreciate hearing that and understanding what may have happened. If someone from management would like to reach out directly, I'd welcome a conversation and the opportunity to experience the bagels as they're intended to be. Here's their response on Google: We open at 5am for all the freshness and aromas you desire. Thanks for the review. Here's my follow up response: I'm disappointed by this response. My feedback focused on quality, freshness, and expectations set by how the business represents itself -- none of which were addressed here. Thoughtful, critical feedback should be an opportunity for engagement and improvement. Ignoring it sends a message about how customer concerns are valued.

My first sandwich here was the classic bagel and lox on a Asiago bagel with dill schmear. It was soo yummy, but I think the smoked salmon was too salty for me. Could've been the batch I had. I think they could add more flavored coffees, but that's coming from a girl who loves sweet coffee. The food here however, 10 out of 10. Ambiance is chill, welcoming, relaxing. I worked for a couple weeks and just knew it wasn't gonna work, I was just under to much pressure there I knew eventually I would be the one getting yelled at, I talked to employees and they've all thought about leaving plenty of times and because of him. He had been saying things about me to the other employees because I moved a table to close to the wall and forgot to wipe off a cart before putting it in the back around the 2nd week I was there . I ended up quiting on my break around the 4th or 5th week I just brought my clothes and hat inside and told my employee I was sorry and I couldn't do it, nothing disrespectful not bad said just that. I come back after two days for my last check to sign a paper I walk in stand next to the counter and don't say a word just wait to be helped and the owner Steve decided he wants to yell out loud "oh it's my favorite person that just up and fuckin left the other day" and then in a different/mimicking voice says "I want my money I want my paycheck". Are you fucking kidding me that is so beyond unprofessional you are 58 and the owner of this business but can't even treat your employees or customers with decency, it's actually crazy how you can act like that I was completely dumb founded, you need to check yourself.
