Picked up some bagels today and I'm happy to say that the bagels here were delicious! Perfectly soft on the inside with the perfect amount of chewiness. It was almost two o'clock when I went so they had a limited amount of bagels but I was able to find what I wanted. Even though it was almost their closing time there were people there enjoying their bagels. The store itself was really clean and well organized and the girl who helped me out couldn't have been any nicer. I can't wait to go back! On a side note, I noticed there was a very low star review on here because the person couldn't find parking. To give a store a low rating due to the parking situation that Bagels & Co has absolutely no control over, is ridiculous to me and I hope doesn't deter anyone from visiting this store as the parting garage is just steps away. read more

Unfortunately this experience wasn't the best. So, I ordered from their kiosk (you have the option of ordering from a kiosk or a person) and had to go back to my car because the parking expired. The restaurant was busy so I called while driving around in my car and asked if the food was ready so I could pull up and pick it up. Well one of the workers tells me "well we're really backed up and I can't check" and hangs up. Ok, sure. So I just parked and went inside. Let them know my name and eventually got my order. I ordered hash brown, and a sausage egg and cheese on pumpernickel. When I got home, I could tell the order was rushed. The hash brown was cooked but it was drenched in oil and because it didn't have time to set both hashbrowns fell apart, and I found hair in my hashbrowns so I just cut off the half of it that had hair. The sandwich was good but again you can tell that it was rushed. The bottom half of the sandwich smushes to the side so you get a lump sided sandwich. Maybe I picked the wrong day to go? I'm not sure. But I might wait a little while before trying again. read more

This place is so good! Actually came across this place doing a too good to go order! Was really impressed with those that I went back. When I've ordered the bagels lightly toasted there is a perfect crunch and the inside is still soft! They have great combos which are perfect for a midday lunch. The staff here is incredibly quick and kind. The inside has plenty of seating and tables. Bagel and Company is a Philadelphia based chain of bagel shops known for their creative bagel flavors and unique cream cheese. I was familiar with them from having visited their first Florida location across from Florence C. Hardy Park in Ft. Lauderdale. The Davie location recently opened in the Modera Academical Village across from Nova Southeastern University. There are two garages were you have to pay to park but I discovered free 15 minute street parking around the corner. I set a timer because there was a warning of a $150 fine if the time was exceeded. i did not feel that it was a very nice way to welcome people to spend money here. The restaurant has some outside sidewalk seating and a few tables inside. Glass cases showcase an appetizing selection of bagels and cream cheese. Some of the iconic cream cheese flavors include Honey Nut, Maple Bacon, Apple Cinnamon, Sun Dried Tomato, Bacon Scallion, Cookie Monster, Birthday Cake, S'mores, vegan tofu spreads, and more. They also offer seasonal and regional cream cheese flavors. Waiting to embrace the cream cheese are a dozen Brooklyn style bagel flavors ranging from savory to sweet baked on site in classic flavors and seasonal. On my visit they had French Toast, Cheddar Habanero, Dorito, and Oreo. In addition, Bagel and Company serves New York roasted coffee, tea, and seasonal drinks, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and made to order sandwiches, For my order I chose a BLT on an everything bagel. The bagel was fresh and chewy and made the perfect canvas for the salty bacon and crisp, fresh veggies. I also took one of their fun rainbow bagels home for later. Service was fast and friendly so I was able to keep to my 15 minute time limit. They also recently opened a location in Pompano Beach along with one in Wilton Manors. read more

FLUFFY BAGELS FOUND... The storefront is tucked away from drive by view off University Drive but noticed a tarp sign for Bagels & Co with a bunch of other business signs affixed to a construction field fenceline in front of the Modera Academical Village. The parking situation is stressful but found out that the 4th floor of the HCA University Hospital next door offers free public parking but not sure how anyone would know that until I asked an employee inside the store, so parked along the curb and frantically watched my vehicle for a towing. There is scan & pay parking at the bottom floor of Modera apartments but again I was not sure until later that the public could park there. Enough said about the horrible parking and onto the bagels. Probably my top two bagel experiences ever recorded in my Yelping adventures. The salt bagel was massive, dense yet fluffy with a nice outer shell and tons of scattered sea salt. The blueberry schmear was so plentiful it was hanging out the sides of my bagel, which has never happened before. Usually the bagel shop offers just enough schmear to thinly coat a half of bagel. For about $6.00, each bite brought an incredible burst of flavor and lightly chewy texture that produced a smile upon my face. Very seldom has a bagel filled my belly until this one. Proof today that not all bagels are created equal. The wall menus were easy to read and the dining room had ample seating in addition to an outside patio. The gender neutral bathroom had rough concrete flooring accented by little white wall tiles offering very simple decor. Will be returning in a few weeks to try a different flavor schmear on another salt bagel. read more

#1000th REVIEW... This was an amazing bagel shop with huge fluffy bagels and super creamy schmear. Lots of different bagel options but I am a salt bagel fanatic. All of the employees were smiling. Ordered a side of purple onion and plain schmear. Most of the customers were medical staff from the hospital and NSU. First time that I did not have to order more schmear for my bagel it was plenty and hanging off the edges. Amazing light lunch and will return. Our timing was perfect when we got here as there were only 2 people in line ahead of us. After we arrived, the line never died down and was sometimes to the door. They have interesting sounding bagels and you can sample the cream cheeses before you place your order. After being told that they toast the bagels, I ordered an Asiago Cheese Bagel with Sun Dried Tomato and asked for it double toasted. My daughter got the Oreo bagel with the Cookie Monster Cream Cheese, toasted. My husband ordered a Poppy Bagel with Scallion Cream Cheese, double toasted. There are 6 tables that seat 2 and 1 table that seats 4 inside. I think there are 3 tables outside that seat 2. We lucked out and were able to get the 4 person table. We realized that it was only because someone had spilled liquid on the table and chair and never bothered to clean up after themselves. They call your name when your food is ready. My Asiago Cheese Bagel came out first. It looked like it had been lightly toasted instead of double toasted. My husband's Poppy Seed Bagel didn't even look toasted. My daughter didn't get the Cookie Monster Cream Cheese that she had ordered. Both my husband and daughter brought their bagels back to the counter to let the employees know of the mistake. After waiting for a while, my daughter went up to check on her bagel. The employee thought she had already received her bagel. My daughter told them that she did not. In the meantime, my husband's bagel was ready. It looked like it was lightly toasted instead of double toasted. My daughter finally received her bagel with the correct cream cheese. We all enjoyed our bagels. The employees that we dealt with were all very nice. They offer free refills on their hot coffee Parking seemed limited. You can either park in the parking garage that's attached to the restaurant and use the QR Code that's posted on the wall to pay for parking or you can park across the street in the hospital parking garage on the 2nd floor and walk over. We tried to park at the hospital but couldn't figure out how to get to the 2nd floor where Visitor Parking was. I'm not sure if there was another entrance or they had the access to the 2nd floor blocked off on the day that we went. Even with the parking obstacle, we would come back. read more

After years of waiting, this place is finally open and right down the road from my job! (which is dangerous for me). They offer may things such as breakfast sandwiches and wrap to just single bagels and some amazing cream cheese spreads! I decided to go easy this first time and get a bagel with cream cheese. There was so many decisions to choose from but I decided to get a everything bagel with some scallion cream cheese. This thing was delicious! The bagel had a nice amount of everything seasoning on it and the bagel itself was nice and soft. It was dense without being to heavy! The cream cheese was perfect! There was a wonderful amount of scallions in it and it was nice and creamy. For the price of $3.75 for a small cream cheese (and going up depending on size and type of cream cheese) and $2.25 for the bagel, this was a wonderful amount of filling food for me during this visit! The place is nice and super clean. There aren't many tables so this place is a more grab and go but totally worth it to eat the bagel in the car or home or wherever! Bagels & Co such a great addition right next to the new HCA Healthcare hospital on University near NSU. The location is super convenient, especially if you're visiting the hospital or in the NSU area. I ordered an everything bagel w/ the sun-dried tomato tofu spread. They were out of the vegetable spread, but honestly that just tells me it's popular & won't be disappearing anytime soon which I love. Big bonus points for having solid plant-based options! Finally opened a location nearby and had to try it out! These bagels are legit the largest and fluffiest bagels I have seen in the area! So many different flavors to chose from either salty or sweet whichever is your preference. Also, the amount of cream cheeses and different flavors is insane but so yummy! I decided on a whole wheat everything bagel with half siracha scallion cream cheese and mikes hot honey cream cheese.. can do half and half which makes it even better for trying the flavors! I'd love to say I got to try them, but parking is actually impossible. I tried for 20minutes to find parking and even if I did find parking (I didn't) you have to pay to park. They shouldn't be advertising this location with how bad the parking situation is. It's the worst I've ever seen, you can try to traverse some hospital parking garage (which I did) but spoiler alert there is no parking there either for shops just patients, drs and residents. They need to put signs or advertise how to park as that is just insane to drive to a spot like this, even have signs in university drive that it's open, and yet you can't park there if you tried. To start off parking isn't very clear here. There is a garage that requires payment and parking in the right spots or further away some street type parking that also requires payment. However I guess once you go inside, you see that they cover parking or some portion of it but don't know how you're supposed to know that prior. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They had a wide variety of cream cheeses, sweet and savory, which you can sample prior to choosing. There was a large area for bagels but probably 1/2 the buckets were empty at it was before noon. The cream cheeses are delish and they don't skimp when putting on the bag and that I appreciate. Some of the bagels were pretty chewy even toasted and that's not my vibe for bagels. They bagels are pretty huge and everyone only finished half so we had the rest for later. I'd probably give the bagels a 3-3.5 but I'll round up to four for the staff and shmear. read more

Was feeling a hearty breakfast bagel so my fiance and I decided to check this new spot out. We were a bit hesitant because food on college campus' isn't usually very highly rated and parking can be a huge pain in the patootie. But, we were pleasantly surprised on all accounts! We arrived at approx 1130am on a Sunday and, oh boy, the line was super long and all tables inside and outside were taken. They have about 8 tables in total , 2 of them can fit 4 people. Surprisingly, all in all, we had our food at an outside table in less than 30 minutes. I ordered the Monte Cristo with added schmere and asked for the jelly on the side which they did forget to give me, but I'll let it slide. My fiance got the Jersey Shore which comes with every breakfast meat, literally. We both really enjoyed our Asiago bagels. The bagels were soft and lightly toasted. The egg was not over easy but I don't really mind because the bagel was easy to eat and not dripping all over the place and it stayed together nicely. They were also super filling! I really wanted to try their oreo bagel with cookie monster schmere but we were so full! We were in the mood for good bagels. Einstein's bagels has been disappointing. We drove thirty minutes to visit the Bagels and Co. It was well worth the drive! Parking was easy (parking garage). The store was bright and inviting. The staff were happy and helpful. The bagels were absolutely delicious. Not only was my bagel not what I ordered but it was absolutely gross. By far the worst bagel sandwich I have ever tasted. I say tasted because I could not eat beyond the second bite. I ordered a toasted bagel sandwich. It was not toasted. I order cheddar habenero sandwich and nothing about the bagel was habenero. I order the monte cristo, and it was more like Jelly with a side of nasty ham. The foil wrapping the bagel came in was sticky and had jelly all over it, the inside and outside of the foil. The ham tasted as if someone cut the fatest piece of a hog and left it uncooked and covered it in smuckers cheap jelly. My wife has eaten plain bagels and cream from this resturaunt and recommended it to me. She witnessed the massive mess and admitted she had never had this experience before. Unfortunately, I love bagel sandwiches and this is by far and away the absolute worst sandwich and worst bagel and worst bagel sandwich I have ever had. The service in the resturaunt seemed fine although it was very tight compact area and crowded. While I was there another person came in and requested her bagel to be toasted and stated it wasn't as she ordered hers either. I would maybe give this place another try (only because my wife likes it) but never the monte cristo and certainly double check the bagel if you want it toasted or a certain flavor.
