Californian (turkey, Cheese, & Avocado) - A bagel sandwich with cheese, vegetables, and deli meats is on a tray, accompanied by an iced coffee in a plastic cup with a lid and straw.

QUICK service and easy to order! Good: The Californian was amazing! A super thick bagel filled to the brim with toppings. Recommend this one! Service: Workers are fast as this place gets busy. They are kind and almost can read your mind when you need help. Ambiance: Great location and few seating inside.

Delicious fast and healthy. Had the California on an onion bagel. Very good! The way I would want to make it if I had all the stuff. They are fast and efficient- some might see it as rude, but I think it is just a cultural difference. I appreciated how fast everything was.

Got a Sausage Egg and Cheese for around $10.74 (incl. tip). The bagels are alright but definitely good enough for a quick breakfast or lunch close to campus -- it's on Telegraph, a few blocks from Sather Gate. There is limited seating inside, but there are signs limiting your stay to 45 minutes (I'm not sure if this is actually enforced or not). This is a mom-and-pop store, and they're always quick and efficient in taking and preparing my order. The meals aren't particularly memorable but I come back to support their small business!

This is an excellent cafe. I had been craving a smoothie for several weeks and finally gave it. After a quick Yelp search, I landed on Bagel Street Cafe, which is a short walk away from the UC Berkeley campus. Upon entering, I saw a wide variety of bagel options, as well as a menu full of sandwiches and other food options. They have pastries, as well, although not as wide of a variety. I ordered a strawberry banana smoothie, and my partner ordered a mango smoothie. We also ordered a chocolate muffin (not pictured). For the smoothies, you have a 16 oz option and a 20 oz option. The smaller size is under $6 and the larger is under $7. Not bad for a smoothie. The smoothies are also made with fresh ingredients. I watched the lady add the fresh fruit! The mango smoothie has fresh mango and mango juice (amazing option for mango lovers!). Both smoothies were excellent! The chocolate muffin was good too; exactly what we expected it to be. We loved the smoothies so much that we returned 2 days later for more! The service was quick, and the lady was very pleasant and chatted with us while we waited for our smoothies. The ambience is like a typical deli (very casual). I'm sure this place gets a lot of foot traffic once school starts, given its proximity to the campus. The breakfast sandwich options looked delicious, too! Overall, this is a really great place to get a smoothie. I haven't tried the coffee or the sandwiches/bagels yet, but I plan to. I definitely recommend this place!

This is one of many small shops along Telegraph Ave. Some bagels are decently priced here; others aren't as much. Truthfully, compared to other bagel places I've seen, there's nothing to brag about here. It's not the cleanest place, and they're not the absolute friendliest to newcomers either. Truthfully, I only came here for a quick bite. I ordered their Nova Lox and Cream Cheese Bagel, which seemed very popular, on a Jalapeño and Cheese bagel (all the toppings inside with pickles added) and a soda. The bagel itself is of a good size, but not very flavorful. The total came out to about 17 dollars (more expensive than my friend who got the exact same thing as me, so I assume they charged extra for pickles, which is a first from ANYWHERE I've gone to eat ANYTHING). The bagels were done fast, so my friend and I decided to sit down and eat. At first bite, I wasn't very pleased or amazed, or really anything. I've had better Jalapeño and Cheese bagels from other places, the lox was a little off-putting (like maybe it was old ??), and the layering of the ingredients was also weird. To make the experience more negative, when my friend went to go ask for napkins, the woman who runs the place said there were napkins in the bag. Upon looking in the bag, there were only two... odd for them to be so stingy with their napkins. The experience wasn't the best, and neither was the food. Not worth the money spent, and I would only recommend coming here for something cheaper-- no drink-- perhaps a regular bagel with cream cheese is their true specialty ? I give it one star because I may not ever come here again, which is a FIRST for me when it comes to small businesses that sell bagels (I've had cheaper, more delicious and fulfilling bagel sandwiches from other places, for sure!)

Cappuccino - A paper cup containing coffee with foam is held by a person outdoors, with a sidewalk visible in the background.

First word to say is that this place is tasty. I ate here multiple days in a row and bought different types of bagel smears with a cappuccino and could not get enough. Service was quick and helpful to tend to basic needs like utensils or napkins. It is a charming little bagel shop that I wish I had near my home.

So glad we have a well priced breakfast place on Telegraph! I stopped by Bagel Street Cafe on my way to class for a bagel. They have a wide menu and many fresh breads to choose from. The inside is very clean and has some seating. I was greeted by the person making the food who was friendly. I chose the sesame seed bagel with plain cream cheese and asked for it to be toasted. The bagel tasted very fresh and they were very generous with the cream cheese which I appreciate. There was cream cheese with every bite, yum! My total was slightly over $4. They also have sandwiches which I tried when they were at their previous location and those are delicious as well. I will be back soon to get one!

Delicious bagels ready quickly. I ordered the Eggwich Special (Spinach, Mushroom, Ham, & Cheese) on an Asiago Bagel. The bagel was soft and had the perfect texture. Flavors meshed perfectly together. I also added hot sauce because I love hot sauce. I look forward to trying more bagels here!

sausage, egg, & cheese on everything bagel - A bagel with cheese, egg, and toppings, sliced in half, placed on parchment paper on a dark wooden table.

Decent bagel shop on Telegraph. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel. It was well constructed and the bagel was pretty standard. No complaints, but at the same time nothing notable. I had a sub-par service experience. The employees there were snapping at people. Some other girl asked if her order was ready and she just got waved off. I'd come back, but mainly because the pricing is fair and it's the only bagel shop in the area.

Back two years later, different location but still the same excellent bagel's! I had the lox on Asiago this time and it was so good! The veggie with veggie spread was also great.

Just a pesto bagel with veggie cream cheese!

Bagel Street Cafe is a classic stop for breakfast among Cal Students and anybody around the area. Upon walking in you are faced with a large case of bagels! There is a huge variety, ranging from plain to garlic to cranberry to a bagel wrapped hotdog! Inside just reminds you of a classic bagel shop. FOOD: I've tried a variety of their bagels; garlic, pesto, everything, sesame, etc, and they have all been great! I'm not really a sweet bagel person so I haven't tackled any of those ones yet. I'm a big fan of their cream cheese options, there's so many flavors! My go-to order is usually a garlic or pesto bagel topped with either veggie or scallion cream cheese! It's soooo good, I just wish they put more cream cheese on the bagel :,) all the bagels taste great, one thing is I wish they were a bit chewier. Flavor is on point but the texture can be a tiny bit better. Still love it overall! Service is super quick. The woman that always helps with orders is quick and sometimes seems a tad rushed, but she has always been very nice to me. They remember my orders and I'm in and out the shop within 5 minutes! Overall, definitely stop here if you need a quick eat. The menu has a lot of other options including gourmet bagels and sandwiches, and I definitely have to try those in the future :)

Price is cheaper than other spots in the city and whatever you order comes out really fast. Perfect place for a student on the go! Locally owned by an Asian couple, great for a quick bite or post hike refuel

The bagel was decent but I wouldn't recommend the eggwich. The eggs were microwaved and the ham tastes like thinly sliced Oscar Meyer's.

I can't compare it to a NYC bagel (since I've never been there) but I enjoyed it. As bagels go, these were the quintessential perfect, chewy and soft, fragrant bagels. The cream cheeses were delish and perfect for family to build their fav bagel meal. The Chai, was what will keep me coming back, however! It was perfectly sweetened, versus the sickening sweet of many shops, with a nice oat foam on the top.
