Bagels

My husband picked up one dozen bagels this morning - that was my request. I live a good bagel. Unfortunately the bagels were SERIOUSLY not fresh. I m might even go so far as to say stale. So hard on the outside that when you go to cut them in half the knife almost slips off the bagel a little bit. Upon hosting it, the flavor was good, but I was disappointed in the solidness of the outside of the Bagels. One other thing is that one dozen bagels and one small container cream cheese cost nearly $32. We will try another place next time. On the plus side, the workers were friendly. The environment in the establishment was good as well. I agree with a previous poster that all they are missing are good Bagels.

Entrance

Upon service you should have it stated somewhere in the business that there are no refunds. 2/3 sandwiches were mid level for the price. A regular pork roll egg and cheese it shouldn't be $10 for 3 thin burnt slices of pork roll. It's Terrible business practice to offer either another burnt sandwich or the door. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND

there's a reason why this place is so crowded on a summer morning. A great bagel shop close to the beach and a reliable stop to grab lunch or breakfast. Bagels were good and so were the sandwiches we got!

First time here - will come back! Bacon was crispy, bagels were fresh, service was awesome! I'd say a hidden gem - but that's because we just figured out it was here - we'll be back soon!

Ordered breakfast from here due to other places being being closed due to the power issues. I've ordered from here a few times in the past when I'm in town although it's not my favorite it's never been how it was today. When we called to order my boyfriend who is not from New Jersey who visiting out of town ask what kind of bagels they had he said regular bagels! What does that even mean? Lol! He is from Las Vegas he doesn't know about poppyseed onion bagels all of that he should've answered that rather than just saying OK onion bagel. Like hmm we have this and and that! Then when picked up my food & opened my bagel, the pork roll was cooked to a crisp! Horrible come on it's not bacon! We all know how pork roll is supposed to be cooked! I was truly unsatisfying! I only ate half of it since I was starving, I discarded the other half because it was not edible. The bagels do not taste fresh at they're definitely not made in house. I then decided to call the restaurant back because they should know whoever is cooking the food is cooking over cooked pork roll we paid!! Mind you we paid $15 for two sandwiches. His short response was that he will let the cook know! The owner didn't even care, it wasn't about money I was hungry I ate it . Just the lack of care and customer service. I don't recommend bagel guys at all!

The butter looks like it has been through something - maybe it is old.

The marginal food and high prices are probably not worth the surly, non-customer focused attitude of the staff

This is one of the worst bagels I have ever had anywhere. There is no way they make these bagels on site bc my bagel was hard as a rock.

It was definitely busy and a little noisy, so I probably wouldn't choose it as a place to sit and get work done, but it's perfect for grabbing coffee or breakfast, or meeting up with friends. The horchata overnight oats were SO good--easily the highlight for me. They were unique and so delicious. I could eat them every day. I also got a cold brew with coconut cold foam. The cold brew itself was really good--smooth and not overly sweet, which I appreciated. The cold foam was just okay; I thought it was a little weak in both flavor and texture and would've loved it to be fluffier and more flavorful. Still, I enjoyed the drink overall. Service was incredibly quick, especially considering how busy they were. Our coffee and food came out almost immediately. Such a cute beachy coffee spot and the perfect pit stop before heading to the shore. I'd absolutely come back, especially for those horchata overnight oats!

Luckily we are usually able to find street parking within walking distance. Inside is quite spacious with lots of seating. There is a good list of food options usually ranging from sandwiches to wraps, bowls and pastries. They even have ube coconut loaf which was also sweet and satisfying! we tried their sammys and chicken caesar wrap and they are delicious. The coffees are made well too with great seasonal flavors. Their peanut butter mocha is yummy! Another bonus for me is their family-friendly atmosphere with a baby-changing area in their restroom and the fact that there is a playground right across! One of the top reasons we appreciate this establishment aside from visit-worthy service, drinks and bites! aaand close the beach! lots of WINS!!

The ambience is absolutely beautiful warm, inviting, and the perfect atmosphere whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just enjoying a nice night out. I ordered the dry-aged bourbon ribeye, and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had. It was so tender it practically melted in my mouth, like cutting through butter. The flavor was incredible, with the perfect balance of smoky richness and a subtle sweetness that made every bite unforgettable. What really made the evening special was our server, Mark. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to answer all of our questions about the menu. His positive attitude and genuine hospitality made the entire experience even more enjoyable. If you get Mark as your server, you're lucky and guaranteed to have an excellent dining experience. To top it all off, we ordered the Chiro Bowl for dessert, and because it was my birthday, they surprised me by putting it on the house. It was such a thoughtful gesture and a perfect ending to an amazing meal. If you're looking for an outstanding steakhouse with incredible food, a beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service, Butcher's Block is the place to go. Stopped in while I was nearby and went with a classic drip brewed coffee and one of their frittata sandwiches. They offered different brew strengths which was cool that I had the option and not forced into one. I went with the light roasted brew with some almond milk and vanilla syrup. Their light roast is exactly that, light roast. The coffee tasted great and had hints of flavor I've never really tasted in other commercial light roasts. I also ordered their frittata sandwich on rosemary focaccia. This is definitely something you wouldn't expect to find in your average cafe! The sandwich was hot and definitely made that day. The frittata had chopped up bits of bacon and cheddar throughout and paired well with the rosemary focaccia. They definitely thought out of the box with that one. What sets this place apart from the others is that they serve you with a smile. From the moment you order to the when your food is handed of the customer service here is top notch.
