everything and egg bagel with garlic, herb, cream cheese
    Michael C.

The bagels here are so good and cream cheese are so flavorful. We had a garlic bagel, everything egg bagel and a blueberry bagel. I recommend you getting all of them so soft where it needs yet so crunchy too. I would definitely give this place more than five stars if I could. The service was great, the people here are extremely nice. bathrooms are clean. Food is really good. I can't wait to try their breakfast and lunch items. We will definitely be back. Really good place to come.

This side view of the bagel says they did a fairly good job with it! I thought it was filling.

Quick eats in South Florida - 2 of 2 I am finding that I'm liking that independent and mini-chain bagel stores more so than the bigger ones. In this beach town in the quieter county north of Palm Beach County, there appear to be two of these Bagel Break stores ... and two Max's Bagels stores. I just went by the exterior and parking and ended up here. About once or twice a month, I like to have a stuffed bagel or one with a spread as breakfast or lunch. I know that this is the right Bagel Break location because of the numerous license plates on the walls per other people's photos. Also, the counter is on your left when you enter and the store isn't cramped, so there will be a place to sit. I remember next to nothing about the service, which is far better than remembering a negative exchange yet not quite as good as remembering an above and beyond level of service. That means the service was fine. I don't remember the prices, either. That means they were fine, too, and I didn't visit that long ago. What I do remember is that the bagel filled with sliced deli meat was very good. It made for a decent lunch and the stuffing of the interior with ingredients was fairly generous. Bagel Break has a lot of different bagels to choose from, displayed in bins behind the glass case. I'm still on the lookout for a sundried tomato basil, but one place at which I've had bagels has tomato basil and that's the closest I've gotten to one since Einstein's discontinued this flavor several years ago. This small bagel shop sits in a nicer area that people are warming up to, not quite as vapid as A1a retail hell going north toward Port St. Lucie yet close to nice beach communities immediately across the Intracoastal. It seems to be popular with the locals, so I'd say Bagel Break is a solid choice for a bagel breakfast or lunch ... or just bagels to slam dunk down the hatch as you drive along or when you get home. Bagel Break is also a good alliteration that rolls off your tongue.

They don't listen to your order the first time around. Poor service. I paid 2$ extra for bacon and never got it on my sandwich. Mind you I was also waiting for 15 minutes and they had rushed a lot of orders. Now that I've taken a bite, it's not worth the price or travel. Very unfortunate and disappointing. Try bagel brothers or Einstein instead or Brooklyn bagels.

Love this place. Their 7. Biscuits and Gravy Breakfast is delicious and an amazing deal. My fiance loves their Bacon, Egg, and Cheese bagel and the blueberry crunch bagel is my absolute favorite to bring home for breakfast the next day. Absolutely would go anytime we are close by. Just make sure if you are ordering to go that you order form the correct location. The website doesn't always auto populate to the correct location.

We were in town for a soccer game, and wanted a quick but delicious breakfast before the game. Bagel Break was the perfect stop. The staff was friendly, helpful and fast. It has a cute diner-like setting with plenty of seating (inside and outside). Everything we had was fresh and delicious! Would 1000000% recommend.

The croissants are huge; we tried the chocolate one -- delicious dough and plenty of filling. The strawberry cheese Danish was another great choice. The chocolate ganache and raspberry tartlet didn't quite convince me, though. At the table next to us, they ordered some sandwiches (very large, by the way) and a soup or stew that, when they lifted the lid, filled the place with an incredible aroma... very tempting. It's definitely on my list to return. Next time, it'll be for lunch. By the way, they have a very interesting menu with Hungarian options, some elevated American variations, and several Italian dishes.

Classic diner set up and ability to onlook where the wait staff prepare the finishing touches to the dishes. Service (5/5): The service for this joint is very much which made my experience. The wait staff women were a delight-- sweet, friendly, and eager to help! They provided updates, refreshed our beverages, sincere when an error was made, and provided recommendations too. Food (5/5): There is so much on the menu to try! Huge portions for an affordable rate. Don't miss out on their freshly baked goods. We loved the cinnamon bun over the coffee cake but both were very good and served warm. The pulled pork benedict special was very tender and had loads of flavor. I enjoyed the corned beef but liked the benedict more. The second day, we enjoyed omelet and brioche bun French toast.

The only issue is the traffic noise, which is considerable. The inside restaurant area is your typical breakfast restaurant with booths and tables. The outside dining area features several tables on the sidewalk with that side view of the ocean and a frontal view of all that previously mentioned traffic. For my dining experience I chose the outside. The Service: My server did a great job taking my order, making sure my drinks were replenished and actually getting my somewhat unusual hot tea with steamed milk and honey correct on the first try! The Food: Besides the traffic, here's where the restaurant falls on its sword. I ordered corned beef hash topped with poached eggs a side of "crispy" home fries and buttered sour dough toast. The Good: The highlight of the meal was the "homemade" corned beef hash. I'm always hesitant to order "homemade" corn beef hash because it's often full of items it really doesn't need. However, this corned beef hash was absolutely excellent and it was clear that it was really "homemade". The sour bread toast was also done properly and was amply buttered instead of what you get at so many places which provide a dash of butter, brushed on by a butter brush. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The Bad: My poached eggs were overdone featuring not a hint of runny yolks and those "crispy" home fries that I made a point of asking for, were about as far away from crisp as you could imagine. In fact they were probably the most mushy home fries I've ever had. The Price: I must say, the price was not bad but, I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get a better breakfast anytime!

Came to Stuart for a wedding and found this restaurant called Berry Fresh Cafe. I love a good diner…read moreso I was excited. Little did I know this was going to be, arguably, my FAVORITE DINER I've ever been to. Location: The spot itself is so nice. Smushed in between an IHOP and a Chinese Restaurant, Berry Fresh Cafe feels like a lighthouse-- a shinning light of amazing diner food you won't experience in other places. The restaurant has a very beautiful Grandma's house kind of vibe. It reminded me of going to my grandma's house as a kid. My favorite was the brick walls; very nice astehtic. Service: Tim was our server and he was literally the best! He was so kind and treated us like genuine family. He took the time to go over the menu and gave us great recommendations. A few other people actually brought our food and they were so kind as well! Overall, perfect service. Food: I'm going to say a controversial statement: I HATE GRITS AND DON'T LIKE HAM, buuuuuuuuut, I greatly enjoyed the ham and the grits were very good. Berry Fresh Cafe made me rethink what foods I despise. It was that good. The monstrosity that was the Rought Night Burger was everything that someone like me would love. My family got the Ultimate Breakfast Stackwich and they had nothing but great things to say. Also, their cinnamon rolls are heaven-sent. Crispy in the right places and soft in others. The food here was perfection incarnate. Price: I know prices are always a touchy subject, but this place could be a bazillion dollars and I would pay it GLADLY! Prices range from $11 - $20, which is normal for most diners these days, but again, the food was so good that I would pay it gladly. Cleanliness: Bathroom wasn't perfect, but it was definitely clean. The restaurant itself however was spotless. I get really picky when it come to clean tables --I despise sticky tables, and this place was great. My experience here is the classic example of a 5-star experience. I genuinely loved this place and will come back as soon as I can. See you tomorrow Berry Fresh Cafe PS. The place does have an 18% server charge, but they are very clear that it exists and I respect that. And service is so good that you'll want to leave more. In this case, the Key West Diner in Stuart, FL. I originally wanted a simple breakfast of those biscuits that were calling me. I figured I'd accompany my biscuits with an order of scrambled eggs and my usual tea latte. As you would expect by its name, Key West Diner has a nice Key West design and a really nice outdoor dining patio. Inside offered booth and table seating. One suggestion would be for the diner to play Island/boating type music instead of the standard pop channel they had on. This would add to the key West feel. Having said that, let's move on to the dining experience. I don't usually go over what a restaurant offers on their menu since I assume if you're reading this review you are on their site. Suffice to say, their menu is the typical diner menu. Looking over the menu of course I noticed they had no biscuits! So much for satisfying my biscuit yearning. At least they had a Taylor Ham and egg on a hard roll. A breakfast I will always happily choose. So, my biscuit breakfast would have to wait for another day. Next I ordered my Latte tea. You guessed it, no steamed milk. One final request topped it all... the WiFi password. Yep, no WiFi! This is clearly not a killer if you're dining with someone but, it's definitely a negative for anyone dining alone. I haven't seen many places that don't offer WiFi but Key West Diner is obviously one of them. To me, when dining alone, reading on my iPad brings back memories of reading the morning paper while eating breakfast. Or in this case, forcing me to post a review AFTER I leave the location. Enough about what this diner doesn't have, let's move on to what they do offer. First, the service; I was seated quickly by a host and my server arrived soon thereafter. She served me with a smile and brought everything I asked for correctly and efficiently. She did a really nice job of being there when I needed her but not constantly pestering me during my meal. Well done. Now my meal; My Taylor Ham featured two eggs and two thick slices of Taylor Ham. The eggs were made perfectly as requested (Overeasy) and lo and behold, the sandwich was on a Kaiser roll! It's not often you get a Taylor Ham and egg on a Kaiser roll (the correct way to make it) but that's what we had here. Unfortunately, although the Taylor Ham and eggs were spot on,, the roll did not live up to expectations. Sadly it was not crispy on the outside and had more of a white bread consistency. Too bad because I really did appreciate the attempt. My tea was fine (considering the lack of steamed milk) Bottom line; The key I always ask of any place I visit... would I come back? In Key West Diners case, more than likely, no. Not because it's bad, simply because it's nothing special AND it doesn't offer WiFi.

But, don't let that first impression fool you. THE AMBIANCE: Once you climb the stairs (yes they have an outdoor elevator), you'll enter a wide expanse of the St Lucie River with hundreds of boats at dock. The view is simply stunning. You can choose to sit inside (why you'd make this choice is beyond me), or if you like music, choose the active fun loving crowd on the patio bar or dine dockside where you'll have an expansive view of the river. We chose the latter. Either way, this is an experience dining unlike any other in the Stuart area. THE SERVICE: We were served by Anna. With a smile and a an enthusiasm that showed she loved her job, she explained a bit of the history of the restaurant and gave a thorough overview of the offerings. Anna was a servers server who knew when to stop by without being intrusive, when to fill our glasses and when to be there when we needed her. I'm not sure if all the serving staff are as good as Anna but, If you're lucky enough to get one of her tables count your blessings. Even the buss boys served with a smile and efficiency that you don't often see. On one occasion one of our party spilled catchup and asked for an additional napkin. The buss boy didn't go and tell the server (which is the norm) but instead "immediately" returned with a napkin and cleaned the spill himself. In today's "I hate my job" world, it was so nice to experience a time when staff served with a smile that conveyed "I love my job"! THE FOOD: For our appetiser, we chose to share a bowl of their Maryland Crab Soup. The menu states "Tomato broth, vegetables, crab meat". Doesn't sound like much, right? But, don't let that simple description fool you, this slightly spicy soup was a delicious meal in itself. I highly recommend you share a bowl if you intend to leave room for an entree. For our entrees, my lovely bride chose to start with the Tide Chopped Salad which features fresh greens, tomato, cucumber, bell pepper, radish, and avocado, graced with an outstanding sherry vinaigrette. From there she chose the Steak and Shrimp combo which featured a 10oz NY Strip & 3 jumbo fried shrimp. She added the garlic mashed potatoes. Her mashed potatoes were scrumptious and her jumbo shrimp combined a crispy breadcrumb topping complimenting the juicy shrimp within. Tough and a bit grizzly, unfortunately, the steak was the outlier to the rest of the dish. I chose the Steak & Cake combo with coconut rice and macaroni and cheese sides. Because they're usually bread cakes with a few pieces of crab hidden throughout, I'm not usually a crab cake lover but, Anna Banana (her suggestion of a name) convinced me that, because the new owner came from Maryland and brought with him his family crab cake recipe, I needed to "experience" the best crab cake I'll ever have, and so, I took the plunge. Sadly, my steak was just as poor a cut of beef as my wife's but those crab cakes... oh those crab cakes were everything Anna Banana said, and than some! I've never had a crab cake that came close! The crab cakes come with a mustard base dipping sauce but, believe me, you'll not want to mar the perfection by dipping. My sides were also great. The coconut rice was not overpowering with just a hint of coconut as an aftertaste and my macaroni & cheese (which I don't usually order unless I have kids with me) was creamy and cheesy. For dessert, we decided to try the Key Lime pie. Not sure about the rest of the desserts but the Key Lime pie was a definite winner with just the right tartness resting on a tasty graham cracker crust (as a true Key Lime pie should have) and a wonderfully creamy texture. THE BOTTOM LINE: As with all my reviews the "customer so what" is would I come back? Even though I'd stay away from the steaks, you bet I'd come back! I would ask for the deck dining room, be seated in Anna "Bananas" serving area and make sure I included those out of this world crab cakes in my meal!

We immediately brought it to our server's attention. She was apologetic and initially tried to remove the contaminated item from our bill, but after speaking with the manager, she came back and told us the manager would not allow it to be removed. To make matters worse, we later noticed that an additional item we never ordered was also charged on our receipt. Mistakes can happen at any restaurant, but what matters is how management responds. Finding a human hair in a meal is unacceptable, and refusing to remove the item from the bill shows a complete lack of customer service. Being charged for an extra item only added to the frustration. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had, and I cannot recommend TideHouse based on the food quality, management's handling of the situation, and the billing errors.
