I drive by here all the time and was curious to check it out. The building looks so cute from the outside. It has a small parking lot with outdoor picnic tables. I went around 8am on a Saturday. While we read the menu it got a little busy. I love the decor colors and little touches. Inside it is pretty cramped with not much room to order and wait. They have a small mobile order section. No indoor seating. Prices are fair. The employee who took the order was fine but not particularly friendly. We ordered the Hot Honey BEC on a croissant. The sandwich tasted good and fresh, however I think they forgot the hot honey we did not taste it at all. The regular hot coffee was basic. I'd stop by again when in the area to try the bagels and cream cheese. read more

My cousin and I were in need of a breakfast sandwich. Bagel boutique was one of the first places that popped up for us. Great choice . We arrived right before it got too busy . Both employees were extremely pleasant and polite . My cousin chose the Philly steak on a croissant. The sandwich options were pretty good ones. Along with bagel and cream cheese options. I built my own sandwich, sausage , egg white and cheese on a croissant .Oh we ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with plain cream cheese as well. The sandwiches were so very good. Everything is made to order. We also had fresh orange juice , delicious! They offer several ordering options as well. Price points are very fair! Small , cute , quaint establishment. Def returning , a pleasurable experience! read more

I e never met an everything bagel that I didn't love. Bagel Boutique is no exception but their bacon, lettuce, tomato sandwich bagel is exceptional. Service was efficient and friendly, especially for a busy breakfast crowd. Prices are reasonable. We got our food to go but the atmosphere was charming. We'll be back when we are in the area. read more

The bagels were tasty, but for $37 before tip for two breakfast sandwich combos I expected more- I had to ask for the iced coffees included and they were super watered down, and they forgot the hash browns that were supposed to be included. Long wait, limited selection, and just kind of meh even after I gave them a second try. Plus the shop itself is clean but way too hot . read more

This is my spot for bagels with Very good service! The ribeye and the B.e.s.t are a must try.

Not great, bacon egg and cheese speaks for itself, can't really see or taste the bacon or cheese and the egg was clearly reheated. Not particularly friendly service. read more

Got the chipotle turkey sandwich and was given 2-3 paper thin slices of turkey, followed with a fat tomato slice. The sandwich had more bread and tomato than it had meat. Sandwich was $16 and came with a tiny bag of chips , as well as an Arnold Palmer. The Arnold Palmer was honestly the only thing I'd say I was satisfied with. Only thing that hasn't changed here is the fact that they never give people napkins with their orders and all the sandwiches are typically messy. read more

My boss had gotten our staff these bagels the other day and I really enjoyed it so I had to get my own! I got a jalapeno cheddar bagel with veggie cream cheese. There were only two jalapenos on the bagel and not a lot of cheese, I wished there were more of both. The bagel itself was very good! I will definitely be back! read more

Can't get enough of their bagels, cream cheeses, and sandwiches. Small, chill quick pickup spot for a great bite for breakfast and lunch

For those in the area of Stratford CT this location used to be the old Danny's hot dog stand! Recently opened over the last year my first visit. So first impressions the place has always been small a counter area and small standing area. Removed was the old self dispensing soda area now contains a very rudimentary coffee area that at this time consisted of only 1 flavored coffee no other selection. The coffee was a butterscotch flavor which sounded intriguing but was less than barely luke warm at best. First cup poured had a hole in cup so that made it to the counter and floor. Second cup 1/2 full as coffee was out at 9:15 in the morning on a Friday . I ordered based off the board showing what todays bagels are available which are the standard nothing exceptional to stand out but staples like plain , sesame seed , everything though I thought I did see a tray of what looked like jalapeño in the small kitchen area on a rack it wasn't listed. I went with everything toasted with egg / cheese and bacon sausage . Ordering was simple but as my order went thru the place reminds me of Brugers Bagels as the man in the kitchen reached into a heat tray and assembled my sandwich from a few bins of already cooked egg / sausage and bacon. So to be honest I was not impressed with that set up but was still remaining optimistic in the end results . I was the only person in the business after assembly my sandwich I assume got put someplace to be heated up . I was then called to pick up and moved on to see what I received see photo. First impression I was a little happy as it looked pretty good for assembly food. My first bite the ingredients are luke warm the bagel a little crunchy but no true bite into the outer shell. The interior was not chewy and lacked substance was not really toasted no taste of butter and the only real seasoning that could be tasted was salt from the outer shell. Wasn't worst bagel I ever had but definitely can find better. The sandwich board for breakfast and lunch seems pretty interesting but given this sandwich assembly I would assume a similar issue with lunch meals being subway like out of bins. I was here for about 20 minutes and a few more people pulled in but not exceptionally busy so if you are in a rush want a quick meal it might be worth the stop. For the area you can find better such as Bagel King in Bridgeport CT and the recent king AM Bagel in Detby CT. I will review AM next week when they are back from vacation but they have been my families standard since they opened. Overall Bagel Boutique is a solid aaaaannnhhhh .. so enjoy the day lmk if you think I'm wrong .. try for yourself ..enjoy ! read more

Good bagels. Check takeout orders. Sometimes they forget things. Small shop but good bagels

I am SO happy that a bagel spot opened in Stratford. Nice and closeby, they have a great variety of bagel types and cream cheese flavors. The classics are available but they also offer a fun array of toasts and lunch sandwiches. It is a smaller and quaint spot but their food is good! Whether you want to order a dozen for the office or get yourself a breakfast sandwich, there is something for everyone. read more

This well known location has transformed from a venerable burger joint to an artisanal bagelry. To be clear, my office is a few doors down from what I consider to be the best bagel joint in CT so Bagel Boutique faced a refined palette. From the relatively spacious parking lot (given its location along Ferry Blvd), the location inside offers no seating, just two customer lanes, in and out. The menu is helpfully placed to read while in line. Unfortunately, the interior design mostly hides the kitchen staff. The kitchen seems pretty tiny given all the equipment and other things needed for bagel production. On the morning I was there, I watched one staffer working hard turning out fresh bagels from what I thought was a pretty small oven. The fresh baked smell was enjoyable. Because it was breakfast, I had a BEC on a garlic bagel. The bagel was warm and fresh, the garlic, while strong, did not overpower the sandwich (garlic was required as i do have a problem with vampires in my neighborhood). The BEC part was only ok as the egg was precooked and seemed to be warmed in the micro. The bacon was nice and crisp. Overall, a good sandwich but not cheap! Bagel Boutique has a bunch of other offerings, lunch sandwiches, more expensive and fancy breakfast sandwiches and "toasts." The price point seems a bit high but that might just be my age and general frugal nature showing. I'll return. read more

"I've been waiting for you, and you've been coming to me for such a long time now". It's a stretch, but I love Neil Young and now I love Bagel Boutique! There used to be many more bagel shops in the area, but now there are only a couple, and I'm so happy this bagel/deli opened up near me (Devon, Milford). They have done a great job remodeling this tiny spot. It's not pretentious, and that's a good thing. I can't believe people are griping about it being too small, the lines not moving fast enough, and OMG there's no bathroom! Give me a break. They just opened up and I'm sure they're still fine tuning things. It was crowded, but the line actually moved pretty fast. I like the idea someone had that they put a speaker on the outside of the building and call out peoples names when their order is ready, because people were jammed up at the front waiting for their order, and this gave the misconception that service was slow, when it really wasn't - the staff were all working their ass off, and unlike some places that are just starting out, they had plenty of staff. These are real New York-style bagels, meaning they are boiled first, then baked. This makes them sweet and crunchy on the outside, and satisfyingly rich and fluffy on the inside, and offer good value for the price. My last words of wisdom are, if you want cheap bagels that are just glorified round loaves of bread with a hole in the middle, and that pasty, tasteless sameness that you can get in a million supermarkets, don't buy your bagels here! Oh yeah, very important, don't forget to tip. read more

Decided to come in for late breakfast/early lunch. This did not disappoint! Went for the regular bacon egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel with onion and chive cream cheese. Would never go back. Lady at the front was very rude. The flavors are not clearly displayed and was confusing. I ordered a large ice coffee and she told me there was only one size even tho that is not why the menu said. My coffee was very small all of the ice melted immediately and it was very sour tasting. 10$ for a small coffee and 2 bagels. Won't make that mistake again. read more

Was thrilled when this cute place opened up a couple years ago and been going there semi regularly for decent bagels. In the beginning, felt welcomed by happy owners and employees. However, the past couple times not so much. The woman taking my order, unsure if she's an owner or an employee , is very unfriendly. Felt like she was doing me a favor and that I was interrupting her day. Also another restaurant that doesn't say 'thank you'. I just got 'have a good one.' read more

I love bacon, egg, and cheeses, so I'm on a journey to find the best (this was not it). Beginning with the ambiance, it was fine. Needed air conditioning desperately. Place was for the most part clean, but the kitchen looked a bit of a mess. Horrible JPEG diy wall art framed too in the waiting area lol. Onto the food... it's not bad, but it's not great. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. For starters, there's like barely any everything bagel seasoning on the bagel. Egg wasn't mixed before cooking so I just get a lot of egg white and some overdone yolk. And there's like no cheese at all... Bacon is nice and crispy tho and bagel has good flavor and texture overall. So far, A.M Bagel is in the lead of bacon egg and cheeses. You guys have the potential to get there. read more

My favorite morning spot, breakfast sandwiches are delicious and i love their bagels. Inside is so cute too!

Great bagels and good coffee too! Plus friendly service as well; good selection of breakfast and lunch options.

I got 16 ounce cold brew, which isn't house brewed- saw the guy making it, fyi it's the Stok brand you can get at S&S for $5-$7. l ordered a bagel with the blandest tasteless chive cream cheese and barely any lox. It was ridiculously small and tasted like nothing. Too much tomato and onion. I came at 10am and they were out of almost every bagel. all this cost over $19. Ridiculous! Also, you Can't even hear your own thoughts in this place as they are blasting crappy country music. Wont be back. read more

I've never been more compelled to write a review. I've never seen so many gross things in a food establishment. First off I ordered a bagel, he used his gloved hands to take my cash and give me change. He then clapped his hands together as if it took off the germs from the money before grabbing my bagel from the bin. Gross. I watched the guy making sandwiches as I was waiting for my bagel and he was using this phone that was placed on the cutting board, and fiddling with his red ear pods in and out of his ears, one hand gloves while also holding his phone with both hands, making a sandwich. Then taking his ear pods out with ungloved hand, spraying Pam to track eggs with two hands; putting the ear pod back in. It was absolutely astonishing: everything in there is just sticky and dusty: I understand now why they have a huge wall blocking you from seeing where they prepare your bagel. It's probably also disgusting. And the biggest one of all is the HUGE CRACK IN THE CEMENT AS YOU WALK IN. That needs to be fixed yesterday!! Close the business until it's fixed. My daughter tripped on the huge hole: I hope you get sued for that. This place would be shut down by a health inspector. read more

do not waste your time with this place. Hands down the worst service and food ive had in a bagel breakfast place. I read some of the less favorable reviews here and they aren't accurate. Great spot. Nice to see this building used in a creative delicious way and the parking is ample. The bagels are terrific. Boiled and baked as they should be. Light and crispy and they put on an appropriate amount of cream cheese which is an imperative when it comes to having a great bagel. Tiny space with workers focused and doing great work. The guy at the register had excellent customer service skills. Good luck to them. I'll be back for sure. read more

I ordered a bacon, egg, and cream cheese on a jalapeno cheddar bagel. Positives- bagel was tasty and fresh, not the best I've ever had but not bad. Bacon was nice and crispy and plentiful. Veggie cream cheese was good and homemade. Negative- for a bacon, EGG, and cheese, 100% not enough egg. The 1 egg didn't cover more than half of the bagel. It looked pretty sad sandwich. If knew, I would've ordered an extra egg but I don't think it's reasonable to pay $1 for an extra egg when the sandwich is already on the expensive side. If I went again I'd just stick to a bagel with cream cheese so I wouldn't be disappointed and I would order the cream cheese on the side to make sure there was enough. Customer service was in point and place seemed clean! read more

Read the reviews and had high hopes for this place. Growing up near NY, I have experienced some great bagels. Moving up this way, my wife & I had finally found a good bagel spot in Derby. We were excited when we heard that there would be a new bagel place closer to us. I came here on two separate occasions to give this place a try. The first time I went, I ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese & bacon, egg, & cheese on a sesame bagel. The second time, I ordered a garlic bagel with veggie cream cheese. After waiting approximately 30 minutes, I had high hopes but was quickly disappointed both times. The cream cheese tastes more like a store brand than homemade, and the bagels are chewy and the flavor average. Overall, after two attempts, I will not be returning. It is worth the drive to go a bit further for a much better bagel. read more

A new Bagel Shop in the location of a former greasy burger spot. Getting in / out is cumbersome if traveling from Milford or other points east. Locationally challenged. I Inside - was not very welcoming. Looked like a wall in the middle with only a very small assortment of pastries visible. There was no smell of bagels baking (or anything else). A single Bagel (plain) is $2.50. Possibly the highest price I've ever seen for a single plain bagel. The best bagels in NYC don't cost $2.50. That's $30 for a dozen Bagels. $15 for 6. Best of luck to the owners but if you want to keep going, make it cost competitive with others (it isn't) and improve the ambiance (very lacking). Improve the visuals and olfactory experience. At 9 AM there was ONE customer there. read more
