Food & service was great and the whole experience felt very like a calm home feeling. We had recently been to NY in March and the inside reminded us of a bagel shop we visited. We got the pizza bagel on plain bagel,fresh squeezed orange juice, sliced turkey sandwich on plain bagel, and a blueberry bagel with half strawberry spread and half cinnamon spread. Our 5 year old said 10/10!!! Our 15 year old.is asking when we're going back and that's a win itself!!!
Bob's Bagels has really good bagels! The staff is always friendly and helpful, and everything we've tried has been great. The line can get pretty long on Saturday mornings, sometimes even out the door, but it moves along and is definitely worth the wait. Great neighborhood bagel spot!
Nut allergy friendly: No issues here, I think all the bagels are safe. Time to Order: Six minutes after I ordered, but there was quite a line (10+) people after I left! So be prepared for a 20+ minute wait. I arrived around 10:15 on a Sunday. Parking is easy, tons in the strip mall. Ordered a Lox bagel on everything, fully loaded, and the bread pudding to go. The lox bagel is definitely the best I've had in Houston. I love lox bagels when I go to NYC and while this isn't quite there with being fully loaded (I think they're missing capers? Maybe forgot?) it's the best in the area, for sure. The bagel is chewy and flavorful and their cream cheese is excellent too. The bread pudding is a hidden gem. Amazing value, extremely sharable. Huge portions. Texture is great - soft on the bottom, not too sweet either. It's very filling. I will definitely be back!

The richness of the bagel stands out against the already flavorful pastrami, egg & cheese in my bagel sandwich. The freshly squeezed orange juice is so refreshing. Honestly blew me away with the quality here. Bob himself was around greeting customers and up-keeping the cleanliness of the spot. Friendly service. No line on an early Thursday morning. Oh, and they have the previous day's bagels for sale at a discount. I will be back and will recommend this to anyone looking for a bagel spot.
Came at 3pm on a Saturday and all the bagels I wanted were gone. No everything, garlic, or onion :( I had to settle for plain. It was surprisingly sorta busy, even though they were close to closing. Service was fine, not great. It felt like all the workers were teenagers who didn't really care, if you know what I mean. SAUSAGE, EGG, & CHEESE: It was exactly what you'd expect, in a good way. The bagel was hot, soft, and satisfying to eat. The TURKEY SAUSAGE, EGG, & CHEESE tasted almost exactly the same. Hard to tell the difference. JALAPEÑO CHEESE BAGEL: Surprisingly loaded with jalapeños and spicier than expected. PLAIN BAGEL: My last option. Plain is plain is plain. Not much else to say about it. I overheard a worker say that he likes the egg bagels more than the plain, and I instantly regretted not getting the egg instead of plain. It isn't bad, it's just not anything special with no flavor. LOX SANDWICH: At first, I thought it was loaded with salmon and was impressed, only to realize that there were thick tomato slices blending into the salmon slices. I felt a little bamboozled while eating because I thought it was loaded with salmon, but it was really loaded with tomato. The ratio was definitely off, with more tomato than salmon. Very disappointing. I could taste the salmon, but it definitely wasn't worth the price. Also, the bagel was too hard. I don't think they heated it at all. Or if they did, it wasn't enough. You could probably request it get heated more when you order though. Also, extremely messy to eat. The salmon and tomatoes kept sliding out with every bite. All in all, not a terrible lox sandwich. It's decent if you're craving one and in the area, but I'm sure I can find a much more satisfying one somewhere else.
I came in here not knowing what to expect. I ordered the jersey special that has pastrami egg and cheese on a jalapeño cheese bagel. The bagel was definitely not what I expected, a slice of American cheese with some jalapeños on top of it, however taste wise it was good, it had a good crunch since it was toasted and the jalapeños were fresh and even though they did not have seeds it was still spicy. I also paired it with a raspberry tea that was very refreshing and helped calm down the spicyness. Bagel bobs has fairly priced bagels as compared to to Einstein bagel bros, so definitely come give them a try and support local !
Found this place on TikTok and glad that I decided to go. It gives family owned but not 100% sure. There is seating available with tables. I wouldn't chill and work there but do encourage to sit and chat over a bagel and smear for sure. The staff were nice and offered general customer service. I was new to this place so I had no idea if there was go to however a gentleman in line said he was a regular and gets a sausage, egg and cheese on everything bagel so that's what I did! I also added the scallion smear which was chef's kiss. I will be back to try different combinations. Happy Yelping!
Finally had the opportunity to try the Famous Bagel Bobs! I noticed a lot of reviews on customer service not being the best here, and they were right! I ordered an everything bagel turkey club with avocado, except the woman at the front almost gave me an "all the way plain bagel"? And forgot my avocado. The only reason she didn't get my bagel wrong is right before she started assembling my club, she asked me again, "You want an all the way plain bagel, right?" M'am, I said, "Can I get an everything bagel turkey club with avocado" Where did you hear plain bagel? Don't say "got it" when you clearly don't got it. And my avocado was still forgotten Bagels are good, but to drive out there from my area to get a simple order wrong killed my motivation to come back here. If you live in the area, the convenience is great! There's definitely a sense of community here, which is nice, but Customer service needs work on On another note, it was nice that they had bread for $1.00. You can get a great deal on bagels and other breads.
It's good, but not drive 35 minutes good. Service was great, truly. And to be fair, it was almost 11 by the time I got there, so naturally all the best flavors were already sold out. The space is tiny and cozy, and it's tucked in an industrial office looking area, so I was definitely confused when I pulled up. But once you're inside, it's cute and welcoming. Food was good. Service was good. Not much to complain about, just not something I'd travel across the city for again unless I was already in the area. Overall, worth trying at least once
Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and a breakfast sandwich made on a quality bagel is unbeatable. I've had some of the best bagels on the East coast and when a NYC native told me about Bagel Bob's, I had to come check it out. From what I understand, this is their new and improved location located near I10 and 610. Having some errands to run in the area made it to be the perfect time to try this place out. It's kind of tucked away and hidden off Post Oak in a business park of sorts. I came on a weekend so Bagel Bob's seemed like the only place open which made parking a breeze. I came mid morning and underestimated the popularity of this place. The line was long but moved at a steady pace. The inside space is pretty small and tables are tight. Luckily seats regularly opened up so I got to enjoy my breakfast hot and fresh. The wait allowed me to see what they had to offer. They have a couple of display cases full of pastries, deli meats, salads, etc. Things you would expect at a deli. I came for a breakfast sandwich, but there are all kinds of options here. Their bagels come in all the typical flavors and they have all kinds of spreads like plain, scallion, veggies, strawberry, blueberry, jalapeno cheddar and cinnamon. In addition to the all day breakfast sandwiches, you can also get lunch like egg salad, chicken salad, tuna, ham, turkey, roast beef, and pastrami. It was early, but I saw they have a pizza bagel and good ole Hebrew National hot dogs as well. With the owner being a NY native, I thought I would see some pork roll or Taylor ham, but regular ham was the offering along with bacon, sausage, and turkey sausage. I got a sausage, egg and cheese on a on a plain bagel. It took a bit to come out, but it was expected with the amount of customers steadily coming through. The food came out hot and fresh. The bagel exceeded my expectations as it was as close to a NYC bagel as I have had in Houston. They hand roll, boil and then bake them to perfection here. The outside was crunchy while the inside was soft and pillowy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I washed it down with fresh squeezed orange juice. It was a little too pulpy for my liking so I'd probably skip that next time. If you're looking for quality bagels like you would get in New York, Bagel Bobs takes the crown in Houston so far. I will most definitely be back.
These bagels are wonderful. The crust is slightly crisp, inside not too chewy and dense. I got a ham, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. It tasted so good and was filling. It only a few minutes until my order was ready. There's lots of parking outside and inside was clean and cute with nyc signs on the walls. There's so many bagels and cream cheese to choose from. I will love to return.
Passed by Post Oak and stopped by for a cheese and steak bagel for breakfast. Pluses 1. Plenty of parking 2. Plenty of bagels and smears 3. Indoor seating 4. Calm music 5. Cheese egg and steak bagel so chewy just like in Brooklyn in a bite, brings back great memories 6. Friendly and efficient service Areas to improve Nothing - wish I could find me some biali tho. Highly recommended!
I have been wanting to try this place out and finally got the chance after popping by Awty. I got the everything bagel with salmon. First of all it was an overwhelming amount of cream cheese and the bagels were too hard. Made me sad because I've really been looking for an awesome bagel place. Everyone inside was very nice. Parking is behind as in not where the patio is. Maybe I'll try something else the next time but it didn't blow my mind.

Great bagels! Came here for an egg bagel but it turns out they don't make them every day - they recommend calling the day before to see if they will have them the next day. Line out the door at 11 am on Saturday, but it moves pretty fast. Very friendly and helpful customer service. Small dining space inside too! A little warm with the door propped open. read more

Bagel Bobbbs!!! I've been here before, maybe last year & it was delicious and then life got busy, I forgot about BB's. I decided to revisit & it didn't disappoint. It is a small cafe that brings in a crowd. Definitely resembling a bit of NY. As far as food/ drinks: I don't know what they put in or on their everything bagels, but it is so delicious. Soft warm bagel with fresh made insides, YUM. 5/5 their mint green tea was also excellent. They also do a $1 sale of their day old baked goods. Who doesn't love a sale??? read more

Authentic New York style bagels, cream cheese and pastries. Go! Try it! It's locally owned. Bagel Bob himself was working! He came out and greeted us. Chatted with hubby and listened to how we came to learn about Bagel Bobs. Bagels are fresh. Delicious! I had the Lox sandwich on sesame bagel. It was warm, soft, the perfect blend of lox, cream cheese, red onion, capers, tomatoes. It's cut in half. Wrapped in parchment and wrapped again in a fancy red checkered parchment. Hubby had the steak cheese sandwich. If you love beef, get this!!! Everything bagel and sun dried tomato cream cheese - a generous portion of cream cheese! We also got a treat from Bob! A warm cinnamon bun and the cinnamon almond croissant (sorry i don't know if there is a name for it). Worth the drive from south of Houston. We will be back!!! read more

Seriously? Delicious is all I got!! We got our bagels right out of the oven. So hot you could not touch them. And the bagels melted in your mouth! One of the best bagels I have had in a long long time!! The staff is so cute and nice and it's clean! And We met Bob! He is so cute! Fabulous bagels!!!! Worth the drive to hunt them down! read more
Not sure what's going on over at Bagel Bob's, but it's not good!! I've been going to Bagel Bob's for over 3 years and followed him from the Dairy Ashford location to N. Post Oak. I haven't been in a 2-3 weeks as we've been traveling but Saturday morning I was all excited to run over to Bagel Bob's and feast on bagels over the weekend. I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! All the bagels they were turning out Saturday morning were about 1/2 to 2/3 the normal size and several looked deformed; they tasted different too! They weren't the thick chewy bagels we'd gotten used to from Bob's. What's happening to my favorite bagel shop in town?!?! I've bragged to dozens of friends about how if you're not getting your bagels from Bob's you're just limping along. To be honest the bagels in the bag from HEB were MUCH better that what I got from Bob on Saturday morning. I've post so pics from the "bagels" from Bob's on Saturday to prove what I'm writing. I'm not giving up on you Bob, but you're going to have to much better than Saturday to keep your following and loyal customers. But if I find this hasn't change in the next visit or two, I'll be going to HEB and buy "bag bagels" which are better than Saturday's production. read more

Has the same energy and most similar flavor to a NYC bagel shop that I've had in Houston so far! Line on a Saturday morning was out the door but the line moved pretty quickly. Seating is a bit competitive and cramped, but turnover is pretty fast and I feel like it adds to the energy. In addition to the bagels, they've got some good looking pastries including enormous black and white cookies and fluffy cheesecake. Looked like they also had freshly squeezed lemonades and fruit juices which looked good. Bon Orzo, the owner, was in the middle of the action behind the counte coordinating everything and handing out a few orders at the tables while we were there. Seeing a framed newspaper listing of his bagel shop in NYC made me feel like this was going to the a legit spot, andi wasn't disappointed. Full disclosure, I'm a bit of a bagel snob and have around 3-4 bagels each time I'm in NYC (around 2X per year). We got a lox sandwhich with sesame bagel and scallion cream cheese, and a sesame bagel with plain cream cheese. Sesame bagel itself was the highlight and had a good textured chew/bite to it with some fluffiness in the center, similar to a NYC bagel, though slightly drier and less "stretchy" (ifykyk). Cream cheese had good flavor and felt fresh, but felt more buttery than creamy and fluffy which is what I prefer, and it felt like it diluted the flavor a little bit (like 1/2 intensity of flavor?). Salmon was great, and especially at a price point of $12 with a good portion (compared to $20+ in NYC), I can complain here though I would say it doesn't have as much depth and flavor. Even so, It's definitely the closest I've had to a NYC bagel (Russ and daughters, Essa bagel) in Houston so far so I will be coming back for more. read more

When a friend from New Jersey recommended this spot, I knew I had to try it. I came by a few weeks ago around 11am on a Saturday, and there was already a line wrapped around the building. I didn't let that stop me and thankfully, it moved pretty quickly! The inside isn't anything fancy, but I trusted the process. After placing my order, I only waited about 5 minutes before both of my bagels were ready. I got a bacon, egg, and cheese, and a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese. I originally wanted them on jalapeño cheese bagels, but they were sold out :( The cashier suggested asiago instead and WOWWWW it was a great call. Both bagels were seriously good, but the turkey sausage was hands-down the winner. I'm not super familiar with the East Coast bagel scene, but this definitely had a different (and better) taste than anything else I've tried around here. read more

3/3 orders wrong. Now a busy morning I understand the hussle of trying to get these bagels out. Second time perhaps they heard the wrong thing ? However this is the THIRD time they've gotten it wrong. From the wrong bagel to the wrong cream cheese, I honestly don't feel it should be that hard to do at 10am on a Thursday. Went in for a blueberry bagel and plain cream cheese, got home with blueberry and strawberry cream cheese. Now you'd think I'd learn my lesson of checking before leaving however I'm not sure I'll be back. read more
Banger bagels at Bob's. I kept reading stories about the owner being from NY, then I read an account of him chasing down someone in the parking lot with a New York license plate to let them know about his shop. Seems to take great pride in his work. And with good reason. The bagels really are great here. Chewy exterior and fluffy insides. I normally frequent Hot Bagel as it's close to me, but this place seemed to provide more bang for the buck. Haven't had anything that didn't wow me as of yet! read more
The place is small with a few tables. Very casual, mom and pop looking place. I wish they had some vegan cream cheese but I had my bagel with avocado and it was delicious! The bagel was in the small side though, compared to NY bagels. The service was fast...come in and order at the register and they'll call ur name to pick up your order! read more

Happen to be driving by and remembered that I wanted to try this bagel place. Def want to support small businesses. Had a pastrami egg and cheese bagel sandwich. Tasty but didn't blow me away. Took a few other bagels home - no flavor with the cinnamon raisin one. If in neighborhood, give them a try. read more
The inside is bigger than the previous location so there's room to sit :) sort of. I'm sure they're still working out kinks but... it would probably be in their best favor to get some sort of menu of the bagel options, and a concise menu of what they offer - just to get the line flowing for efficiency. I have a pretty regular bagel order so Im okay but people like to see options available. Bob was in the back kitchen making bagels which is nice. We waited about 45 minutes in total on a Saturday morning from being in line to leaving with our food. Food was great, can't complain. Oof today's pick up order was rough. Totally unorganized, no menu, employees taking orders from memory then forgetting. It was just a hot mess. The only good thing I can say is the bagels themselves are good. The bad was everything else. We received an incorrect bagel with our order. We ordered a bagel and lox with cream cheese. Instead we got a lox cream cheese bagel. We ordered a cortado and a vanilla latte. Both coffees were not only made incorrectly, but they ran out of milk, leaving you only with the option of almond milk or half and half. It's hard to explain what mine even tasted like. Hubby's cortado def wasn't a cortado. When the guy brought the coffee, he forgot the other coffee all together. There was a constant line, but everyone was in the same situation. On the phone with their loved one so that when you get to the front of the line, you can basically ask the employee what's on the menu. They really need to get it together if they're going to operate at this new location. read more

To try Bob's for the first time, I picked up a bag of bagels, but when I got home, most were like the one on the left: overcooked, basically burned. Are they supposed to look like pretzels? Only two out of five were done correctly, like the one on the right. At Central Market, they usually sneak a few of the "burned" bagels into their bags of 6, to get rid of them. Best bagels since I traveled weekly to NYC in 2000. It's been too long for a delicious, awesome treat of a well-made NYC Bagel! Done right in HTX! A special treat when you buy (current deal) 1/2 doz, get a free one!! My new GO-TO, Bob's Bagels on N. Post Oak Rd, one left behind the bldg complex. If 1/2 doz order is too many, wrap each bagel in (unbleached) parchment paper then add all to zippered freezer bag. Keeps bagels (and/or bread, muffins, etc) fresh! Yum! read more
