I made a quick stop to grab a bagel. I was hoping they would toast it and have some cream cheese and lox. Luckily they offer the lox sandwich and confirmed that they toast every bagel, unless you request otherwise. The service was great, very helpful with all my questions and offered suggestions such as which bagel to try. My lox bagel sandwich was toasted perfectly with the sesame bagel, good serving of cream cheese, capers, and lox. It was even cut in half which made it easier to eat (sorry I devoured it without a photo). I also got a fresh squeezed orange juice, they have several other fresh juices. This one was available in the refrigerator next to front checkout counter. It tastes fresh! Parking was easy since it was 10 AM on Thursday, reserved shop parking in front, 4 spaces. Otherwise you can park in the other available spaces that are not reserved. They have cute and spacious dining area, decorated with hanging greenery. This is down the street from my place so I'll be swinging by more often to try their other food and drinks. read more

My usual bagel place is closed on Mondays. So I tried this place out. The atmosphere was nice and quiet. Filled with hanging plants, very chill. Would be a great place to study, or hangout. I got my usual order. Everything bagel extra toasted with honey walnut spread. And a blueberry bagel for the next day. Service was normal counter service, no attempt at conversation. I took a bite on my way out. It was generously coated with everything seasoning. It wasn't very toasted in my opinion. It was warm and soft, but upon further inspection it was heavily charred on the topside of both halves. I'm not sure how it's almost burnt and still not toasted. Maybe they have a faulty toaster that doesn't warm evenly? I realized halfway through that I didn't taste any honey or walnuts. I think they mistakenly put regular cream cheese on it. Which I normally wouldn't mind, but the cream cheese tasted too sweet. The blueberry bagel was good. I personally needed more blueberry flavor, I only tasted it in the bites that had a blueberry in it. Overall an okay bagel place. read more

I'm on a mission to find the best fresh bagels in the Houston area, especially spots close to home, and this one was a great find! Located in a strip mall with plenty of parking, it has a relaxed, cozy vibe. Inside, you'll find table seating along with a small couch, making it a nice place to enjoy a quiet morning. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and they also offer a variety of drinks to pair with your bagel. The bagels were fresh, soft, and delicious. They also had several flavored cream cheese options to choose from, which made it even better. For a half dozen bagels, two flavored cream cheeses, and a matcha latte, my total came to $33. While the price is a little on the higher side, the quality made it worth it. Overall, it's a great spot to relax, enjoy a light breakfast, and start your day. I'll definitely be back as I continue my Houston bagel hunt! read more

This place lives up to its name! Came by for a fresh bagel before my race this past Saturday. It was delicious and the service was great. Thank you for being open to early. 10/10 would highly recommend. read more

Love the decor (lots of plants; chill cafe vibes). The lox sandwich was great; perfectly seasoned, great tasting bagel, maybe could have used less onions. My biggest gripe is that the portion size is pretty small for what you pay for. The bagel sandwiches I've had in ny/nj were definitely bigger and fluffier. read more

The bagel was delicious but there were hardly any bagel choices at 11:30 am on a Thursday. They are open until 6pm and claim these are the only bagels available until 6pm. I was fine with that though because they had some savory bagels available. The atmosphere is very inviting and chill so I will be back soon to hopefully get a fresh everything bagel. read more

nice little bagel shop, convenient location, lots of choices; breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches. I had a fantastic breakfast bagel today, it was like turkey bacon egg and cheese and hash browns, it was really good . my issue is I paid $17 and yes , I tip, so that included a tip $17 for breakfast bagel and a cup of coffee it took 25 minutes because I guess it was only one person back in the kitchen. yes they were busy so I get that, but it took 25 minutes I didn't get my coffee for those entire 25 minutes. I finally get my coffee I eat half of my bagel which again fantastic, delicious, thumbs up all the way. i go to get more coffee and the girl tells me they don't do free refills on the coffee and then she asked is that okay ? well I guess I don't have a choice , I'm not paying another $4 for a regular coffee. so as far as taste 100% fantastic but if you are in a hurry or even if you're not in a hurry and you just want to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and maybe are thinking about getting a second cup of coffee, it's not going to happen here, not for free anyway. but again it was absolutely fantastic the breakfast bagel . it's such a cute place with lots of overgrown greenery in lots of comfortable seating it's just way too slow they need more people I guess read more

I'm a sucker for breakfast so hubby and I decided to give this place a try after seeing a video on socials. As we arrived we had no trouble finding parking, the shop was bright and green. They have live plants hanging above the seating, which adds to the charm. We got the grilled chicken on everything bagel, loaded turkey bagel and a blueberry bagel with strawberry cream cheese that was absolutely delicious! The sandwiches were more lunch oriented, with that being said they were on the pricier side. The bagels were warm and delicious and we both ordered hot americanos that were quite tasty as well. Service was friendly and quick! We will definitely be stopping by again! read more

The ambience was relaxed and welcoming. They serve coffee, ice cream, & smoothies. I got large hot Americano to-go. It was fine. They didn't offer any cream & I didn't ask so when I got to the office, I added my own vanilla creamer. The bagels looked fresh and the garlic bagel was really calming my name with that crispy garlic. I went with my favorite everything bagel. They charge more for the flavored cream cheese spreads, so I stuck with the plain. It was good. I think it's a great option to include Ice Cream and sweet drinks along with the bagels. That way there is something for everyone in your group! With a kolache place right down the center, not sure if I'll make it back for breakfast, but wouldn't mind to try it for lunch sometime. read more

This place has over priced for sub par food and drinks. It's a cute spot. Just pricey for no reason.

Right across from Costco, the Best Bagel Shop serves some creative bagel sandwiches that can please a picky New Yorker. The sandwiches come out hot and steamy. The steak in the Steak & Egg sandwich was surprisingly tender and the cooked onions made the sandwich so flavorful-- with the fragrant onion bagel, it was delish! Bagels are on the smaller side. We haven't tried just a bagel by itself, but that's for next time! They have the basic sweet flavored bagels (blueberry, cinnamon raisin, chocolate chips) and the cinnamon brown sugar and honey walnut cream cheeses. So no crazy/fun cream cheese flavors here. Service was friendly and inviting. There are lots of small tables for dining in and even some communal board games. They open early so stop by for breakfast and lunch! read more

Best everything bagel in Houston. It's got an extra saltiness. Love getting it with a lox sandwich.

I ordered the steak n' egg on a plain bagel. The steak was flavorful and soft; however, the actual bagel itself was rock hard. I couldn't bite into the bagel sandwich because of how hard the bagel was. A little disappointing given all the positive reviews I saw on this cafe prior to coming in. A new Bagel place has arrived in the loop! Located in the shopping center just across the street from the Costco. They offer a variety of bagels, bagel sandwiches and even ice cream and coffee! As I entered I was promptly greeted and the person at the counter was helpful in and let me know you could make substitutions for meat preferences on some of the sandwiches. I ordered a jalapeño bagel with butter, an order of cinnamon roll minis a coffee and water! All for $13 pretty darn good! The coffee is an Italian blend. I ordered an Americano. Its not the most robust but it is smooth. They also offer alternative milk blends for your lactose girlies like myself. The place has ample seating for the size, cute decor and clean bathrooms read more

I think this place is OK, they just opened, so grace is given, of course. big menu, relaxing vibe, I need to come back and try more stuff, I was not wowed, but I will say the customer service is very nice, food was done swiftly, no long wait times. something that pissed me off, was my steak and egg bagel was placed on top of my cinnamon roll, and it melted... insert crying emoji here, then I was trying to take a photo of the bagel and it fell into my lap, second crying emoji (that's not their Fault) but I still ate it, came out hot and ready to go. I;ll be back and update my review. look at my sad cinnamon roll - I still ate it read more

Hands down my favorite bagel shop. The bagels have that perfect chew on the inside with a crisp, golden crust you almost never find outside of New York. Everything bagel with scallion cream cheese is my go-to, but honestly I've never had a miss here. The atmosphere was filled with a calming green tone vibe surrounded by plants. There were just enough tables to sit and eat like a small cafe. There's a good variety of bagels, but availability can be limited later in the day, so go in the mornings when the bagels are also fresh. I tried the Diablo sandwich with a plain bagel. I loved the combination of the inside of the bagel. It had your choice of meat-I chose turkey bacon, egg, hash brown, And pimento cheese.. there's a small kick to the bagel because of the cheese but it's just like jalapeño spicy not anything seriously hot. The hash brown was crispy. The bagel was pretty solid and firm. I wish it was a little softer and I don't know if it's because these bagels were older and not fresh(I came during lunch time). My friend tried the lox bagel with everything seasoning and she said that the bagel was hard and she wished it was softer. She did enjoy the inside of the sandwich she says they had the perfect amount of salmon and the cream cheese was creamy and delicious. I also got some carrot juice which did taste fresh but it literally is that and nothing else fresh carrot juice. The service was also fine but I don't feel like the cashier was confident in recommending a bagel pairing for the sandwich. read more

Solid new bagel spot! They're friendly and the inside is very comfortable. I tried the steak egg and cheese on an everything bagel- I liked that it had onions and was very savory. Price was $10.99. I absolutely love this bagel shop. The bagels are fantastic, the people that work there are so friendly, and the store is like walking into a greenhouse. I love all the plants. I always get an egg and cheese with a hash brown on a plain un toasted bagel. I also often get a cinnamon raisin bagel not toasted with cream cheese. Both items are stellar and out of this world. You should definitely give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. read more

A true standout! The Diablo bagel is a must try! The "Best Bagel Shop" lives up to its name. The Diablo bagel was a revelation. It was generously stuffed with a hearty combination of sharp cheddar, crispy hash brown, jalapeño, turkey bacon, custom cream cheese spread and egg. Substituting pepper jack for cheddar and using a light cream cheese helped highlight the rich flavors, especially the surprisingly bacon-like turkey bacon. An iced latte was also ordered, and the espresso roast was full bodied and flavorful. It complemented the meal perfectly. The service was fantastic. The gentleman was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere was welcoming. It's a clean, cozy spot for a morning bite. A return visit is a must to try other menu items. read more

Today was my 1st visit here and it will also be the last. I ordered the Lexington Lite with avocado and was just all around disappointed. The bagel was really small and wasn't warmed up with the order so it was very stiff and chewy. The avocado was a $2 up charge and it was not avocado at all, it was some prepackaged guacamole sauce that was really salty. It overpowered the cream cheese smear so I can't even say if I liked that because all you tasted was salty guac. I also feel like only one side of the sandwhich had the tomato and onions so it wasn't assembled evenly. For $15 I was really disappointed because in NY you can get a loaded bagel for a few dollars less and totally wish we had more NY style shops here. read more

Visited for the first time on a Saturday after 2pm when most other shops are closed. **I have since been back a second time and the experience aligns with the first review. I appreciate that they stay open and it was worth the visit. Service was quick and the restaurant team members were kind and brought the food to our table and picked it up when we were done, not expected for such a casual place. It wasn't too busy so it's a great place to sit and hang out, do some work, or read for a sec. I enjoyed the Honeycrisp Signature bagel with bacon on an everything and my partner ordered the Steak, Egg, and Cheese Signature Bagel w/ a plain bagel. Both were super delicious - the highlight for us being the hash brown on the honey crisp and the caramelized onions on the steak bagel. We will be back to try the coffee - which seemed to have a lot of variety available. read more

New bagel shop. I ordered a bagel with cream cheese, I assumed the bagel would be from the case which was a consistent REGULAR size, we had two bagels one with egg and cheese, the other with cream cheese. The bagel I received was noticibly smaller and inconsistent from what was in the case. Service could be friendlier. Ambience seemed nice. I wanted to like this place and make it a regular rotation but if this is first impression service. Pass. They also make the orders behind curtains. read more

BEST BAGEL SHOP: Houston's Must-Visit Spot Three visits in ten days--that should tell you all you need to know about how amazing Best Bagel Shop is. From my very first visit, their claim to the title "best" was clearly justified. They're serious about bagels, and it shows. The Everything Bagel, stacked with house-made veggie cream cheese, egg, fresh lettuce, and tomato, has become my absolute favorite. It's genuinely addictive and perfectly balanced. The Steak and Egg Bagel also stands out, with juicy steak, fluffy egg, melted cheese, and their signature toasted bagel. Beyond bagels, their dessert offerings are equally stellar, especially the ice cream. Flavors like Chocolate, Cookies 'n Cream, Coffee, Vanilla, and Strawberry consistently impress. Their smoothies and shakes are refreshingly thick and delicious. Coffee drinkers will appreciate the high-quality cappuccinos and lattes, each made with care and consistency. The cozy atmosphere, featuring exposed brick walls and greenery, creates an ideal spot for working, studying, or simply hanging out.
