Bagel with Cream Cheese Everything Bagel with cream cheese and excellent fresh orange juice
    Mark G.

Regular order for the week or weekend. Always fresh and tasty. Bagels are good. I prefer the Everything. Cream cheese is softer and more of a whip than some others and I prefer it. Breakfast sandwiches are a full meal: bagel, egg, protein. Their orange juice is fresh and a personal favorite. I still need to try their Rueben for lunch. I can only imagine it's good. If you're looking for a good bagel shop, give this group a try.

Previously the home of Revolution, one of my favorite granola crunchy spots in the city, I arrived to Space City skeptical. To be fair, I've heard nothing short of praise for this spot, so I figured it was time I experienced it myself. While they offer a drive thru, I chose to enter and order. Protip: Midday on a weekday, this is the way to go! No line, no stress, and the sweet smell of fresh bagels. While I waited awhile for my smoked salmon bagel and a cookie, everything was delicious. The bagel was incredibly fresh, and the s'mores cookie was right up my alley- a melty chocolate chip cookie topped with bruleed marshmallow fluff, and a few graham cracker sprinkles, I'm adding this baby to my rotation. I get it, the parking lot is intimate, and the space itself can be tight. The neighboring road is always busy, and the patio is going to be a no mist tones of the year due to the weather, but if you can see beyond that, and/or order your bagels beyond the breakfast rush, you're in for a treat!

Ordered via a delivery app so did not have to deal with a long wait or customer service. My 1/2 dozen bagel order was incorrect - didn't get to try most of the bagels we picked. Overall the bagels are a-okay: they are fairly dense and chewy. The cream cheese is more whipped. Would possibly return if I lived in the area.

Ordered a lox, the least they can do is put some cream cheese..... service was nice and friendly but lack of cream cheese ain't cool.

Service was super nice and friendly, lack of cream cheese... not okay. $13 for a lox bagel with no cream cheese - INSANE! Almost asked for an extra side, but figured I would have to pay more than what is owed, when they should have done it right in the first place. There are way better bagel shops out in the Houston area - check those out before coming here

Space speed bagels was slammed on a Saturday at 11. Parking lot full. Nowhere near enough spaces. Got a blueberry bagel with bacon, egg, cheddar cheese, and mayo. Mayo didn't add much. I could see it with the spicy mayo. One big observation is that it was slooooowww. For a bagel shop this should be quick and in and out. A ton of people waiting and not space for them. I'll come back and try again but probably order ahead.

Been on my list to try since I love a good bagel sandwich. Their bagel was baked perfectly and had some great jalapeño flavor throughout. The staff were all very friendly and could tell they enjoy their job here. Will be coming back more as this will be an addiction for sure

My "second chance" here failed... not many local coffee shops on my way but stopped here cause I know they sell little dreamer coffee They got my toasted-bagel-w/ cream cheese order wrong again* LOL Got to the office and the bagel was not toasted? and I felt the staff should be a bit more knowledgeable about the menu? I got an iced coffee that was great, but when i asked what items listed on the coffee menu were she had no idea. This business could be great but everything almost feels halfassed. There was a previous bagel tenant here that had a QUICK departure, after a few days (idk apparently business agreements etc) and I feel like space city bagels came in just to say "we're here, we're bagels" but it's lacking a lot.

Omg try their stuffed bagel! It was amazing, it tastes like a garlic knot, so warm and flavorful. I also got their salmon bagel and it was great as well. They have a drive through which is a plus and indoor and outdoor seating as well. Staff was friendly and the vibe inside was relaxed. I thoroughly enjoyed both bagels but the stuffed bagel was by far my favorite I will definitely be back for it.

A bit overpriced but cool cafe space and nice service! I just realized that this business was originally Brazos Bagels - I had heard about the hype online and them selling out at soft opening. I have been wanting to try since, though it looks like there have been some rebranding. Ordered the smoked salmon bagel and breakfast bagel. The cream cheese was a bit too much for me so I'm not sold on the entrees yet. The space is nice and I plan to visit on a day I want to get some work done or grab a casual breakfast!

Thankfully, Mark was there and initially was told a 35 minute wait but seemed intent by quicker. Ambiance: 4/5 It was breakfast time so of course it was a busy time. For my visit, it was crowded but not to where you couldn't hear your table. Dress is casual, good for friends, solo, or pit stop. Service: 5/5 Our waitress was very knowledgeable and friendly. Since it was our first visit there, she gave us some background that it was a Pappa's owned restaurant and food is made from scratch. Food: 3/5 They offer mimosas and I was tempted to order, but was driving and it was 9AM so forewent that option. There are food options for every tastebud. Mark ordered the fried cheese sticks, they were one of the items that I found worthwhile to return for. I opted for the Waffle feast. It included a waffle, that I added pecans on top to, two strips of bacon, eggs your way and hash browns. To say that I needed to add salt and pepper to the eggs and hash browns because they tasted bland and flavorless was unfortunate. It also was served at room temperature, because it was made from scratch, would think it be warmer to hot. The waffle was savory and had good mix and topped with the pecans made it even better. If you're on this side of town and want a change up from the "other breakfast diners" DOT would be where I stop. Fast, friendly service. Depending the food you get, it gets the job done for some sustenance to hold you over when you're not sure when your next meal is because you'll be in Galveston for 7 hours riding a float in the Mardi Gras parade.

What I eventually found both surprised and delighted me, and Nate's gets a thumbs up overall. Pictures are deceiving as I thought the place would be larger but it's a tight fit for bigger groups. There are only a handful of tables but plenty of character. It's also a bit grimey, unsightly and even a tinge dodgey, which may be a deal breaker for others but is an immediate appeal to me. Two things immediately standout when it comes to the food: the portions and the prices are outstanding. The offerings are as no frills as the rest of the establishment. The other surprise was how much influence there was from Mexican cuisine. Hash browns were the goal, but chorizo and chilaquiles were the bonus. Another surprise? The hash browns weren't as crispy as I would have wanted. It's entirely plausible that I came on an off day, which happens. However everything else was on point as my chorizo skillet was absolutely dynamite, pancakes were fluffy and indulgent, breakfast tacos were outstanding, and my eggs were perfectly softly scrambled. Even the bacon and sausage patties were delicious, which is a tall order considering it's not likely made in house. Lastly, as someone who drinks cold water like it's a hobby (#1), I'm especially grateful for the massive 32 oz cup of water, which is perfect for someone who drinks like a camel. The staff is not the quickest but they are friendly. Spanish may go further with most and they're not the quickest when it comes to greeting folks or cleaning tables. The food is the star and consider paying in cash. ____________ (#1) I'm thirsty.

I meant to save the second one for breakfast, but that was not to be. It did not survive long enough to make it out the door. My actual meal was a bacon swiss and mushroom burger, which was excellent. Between the biscuits and the burger, I am forced to acknowledge that it was entirely too much food. Sadly, that did not prevent me from eating all of it anyway. Delicious! The restaurant, which is a diner with very basic decor, is on an approach road to IAH, and is open 24/7. When I arrived in the evening, the place was empty. By the time I left, there were a whole bunch of customers. I noticed in other reviews that people were saying they did not receive checks for their meal and felt they were over-charged at the register. Mr. Picky ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp while I opted for Veal Parmigiana, and we each stole a bite from the other's plate. We reached consensus immediately that both dishes were well-seasoned and quite delicious, meaning we would return for more good food in the future. Seriously, we hadn't expected much when walking in and looking around, but were pleasantly surprised at the kitchen's efforts. We finished lunch with an order of homemade bread pudding and tiramisu, the latter of which in 2012 won a chamber of commerce epicurean competition 1st place ribbon. I wasn't there to judge that competition and have had better, but sincerely appreciated the moistness of the bread pudding. While the majority of diners were older and a more mature crowd, there's a lot to be said for value, and we thought the menu price was better than reasonable and I think a lot of people will discover this as a value destination, something we all appreciate.
