We really hesitated to try the bbq because we haven't had the greatest experiences lately. Their lunch menu is between 11-2 & we arrived around 2:10 so some of the menu items were all gone, for instance, ribs & sliced brisket. So my husband got chopped brisket, it wasn't swimming in sauce instead it was on the side & to tell you the truth it didn't need any sauce which is a telling sign of good bbq! We also got pulled pork & that was really good too but I think the brisket was better. On my check in I accidentally clicked that the staff is not wearing masks & they really are. I didn't go in but my husband said it's very clean & nice inside, maybe 8 tables & there's about 4 outdoor tables.

I ordered the BBQ Tater, which was absolutely huge and easily large enough to share. It was flavorful, satisfying, and one of the highlights of the meal. My son enjoyed his pulled pork sandwich, though he felt the cheesy potatoes were just average compared to the rest of the food. The prices were very reasonable and competitive for a BBQ restaurant, especially considering the portion sizes. Low top and patio seating. Overall, we had a positive experience and would gladly stop again when we're in the area.

They were in and out delivering food and cleaning up after everyone quickly. Drinks came quickly and were nice pours. For food, we ordered the steak fries, very good. Crispy outside, tender inside. Nachos were also very tasty. Real cheese not the sauce type fake cheese. Good toppings. The pork sandwich was a little dry and needed seasoning and sauce. The burger was a little dry as well, not cooked to order and the bun was dry and fell apart. But it came with all the toppings. Inside the restaurant were several families. Packed! Kids running around everywhere. It was way too chaotic for us personally so we sat outside. The patio was busy every afternoon with people and pups alike. I was sad to see so many people leave their dogs outside on the patio unattended, barking and whining looking for their person while they are inside drinking and dining. This happened every day so it seams normal. Telluride is a very dog friendly town. Overall good for after ski atmosphere. Since we had a drive ahead of us, we ordered 2 sandwiches and requested the meat packaged separately so the bread did not get soggy. The owner packed it all up nice and added extra BBQ sauce. Instead of being welcomed, we were immediately interrogated by the woman at the front, then questioned again by the bartender. We were seated and left sitting there for 30 minutes without a single person taking our order or offering service. Our waitress even apologized and admitted she "hates that she can't help us," making it obvious the staff had intentionally decided not to serve us. Throughout the entire time, my service dog was exactly where a service dog should be--quietly lying under the table at my feet, causing absolutely no disruption. After waiting half an hour, I finally asked if we were ever going to be served. That's when we were told the issue was my service dog. When I questioned this, the bartender's response was to tell me I "didn't need an attitude." I've written maybe five Yelp reviews in my life, but this experience deserves to be shared. The way we were treated was humiliating, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable. It felt like we were being singled out simply because I have a disability and rely on a service animal. All six of us got up and left because of how we were treated. Small businesses deserve support when they treat people with respect. This business did the opposite. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone, and I sincerely hope no one else has to experience the kind of discrimination we did.
