Then, roll through the store with your smartphone sticking to your list. You have serious game once you stop in the meat section and stock up everything going out of date that day, which can be bought for 50+ percent off plus applicable store ad discounts. You are then the King or Queen B like me because you do all of this when they're doing their 2x or 3x gas rewards promo. This store, my wallet, and big ass gas tank are full of win. Also, check out the scratch and dent/overflow area in the way back for super crazy deals. No I'm not a hoarder I just know how to do it right. Times are tough and you gotta be creative when feeding your family. This is the best store in the area by far but it still ranks below the Holy Grail of supermarkets - Wegmans. I'm not trying to drive to Largo to spend all the money I'm saving here.

I just…read morebought a large Starbucks Breakfast Blend (cost like $25) and I have to drink this nasty old coffee. It was the last one they had for WEEKS. There is no variety of items. You would think with a store so big, it would have variety, but you just find the same stuff on repeat. You can't even find basic stuff, like certain pasta that is common in most stores. Never mind the "International" aisle. You find a few Indian and Middle Eastern items, and then it's all stuff from Mexico. I wouldn't call Mexico international. They're our neighbor. Polenta, for example, which is common in other stores, they stopped bringing in. And forget telling an associate to order anything for you. Even if you find one, they'll say they'll do it, but they don't. A lot of stuff is marked expired or about to expire as well. There was a jar of mayo that sat there since 2024 and I reported it at least three times in about two months. I had to ultimately remove it and take it up front, because they would just say OK and the following week, it was still on the shelves. The vegetables are old. They are all wilted. No variety either. If you want ground pork, you have to go after 330 PM, b/c the guy that's there earlier is "Seafood", so there's no one to grind pork. And they don't have it from the day before where the meat is. Ground pork isn't caviar. It's just pork. This is just an example. I don't see many of the staff they had, but they have one person yelling over the loudspeaker welcoming you to eat their chicken or whatever. There is no point in that if that's all she does and no one is around to help. Their quality has gone down so much, the place is usually empty of customers. I remember when it used to be full of people. It appears that due to lack of business, they focused on refurbishing the store and letting go of all their help. Oh, I had to get a cream, which wasn't in my case to use on a private area, but someone had recommended it for issues with skin in general. I went up and down those aisles 20 times. I finally asked the pharmacy employee where they had the stuff like Monostat, douches, etc., b/c all they have in the "Personal" section are pads. She told me they are up front. "I can see them from here". Pharmacy is all the way in the back. I turn to look down the aisle, and am confused. Then she tells me that they're under key. So you have to all the way to the front, beyond the check out counters, and look in the cabinets to see if they have it (which of course, they didn't) to get those items. I'm old school, and an older woman. Even if they had it, I don't want to ask employee after employee where that stuff is, and another to hand me this or that from that section. Most of that is for young people, and I was getting it for something else. I get that people might steal, but intimate stuff? You put that under key for people to ask you for it? That's so bizarre! And they don't tell you so you wouldn't even think to look there because it's outside the cash registers. Put up a sign at least. Since I normally don't buy that stuff, I didn't know this was a new thing. This is the closest store to me, but I find myself having to travel 7 or 8 miles if I want normal things at a normal price. This store has been going downhill year after year.

I originally came in to make a return, and he processed it very quickly and smoothly with no hassle at all. Later on, I ended up going through his checkout line, and he was just as friendly and helpful. He even took the extra step to make sure the orchid I purchased was packed securely so it would make it home safely. It's small touches like that that really stand out and make a difference. Shopping there felt easy and welcoming, and Nathan made a simple trip to the store feel like a great experience. Customer service is everything at the end of the day, and it means a lot to me to go to a store and receive genuinely good service. Because of that, I will definitely be back. Great job, Trader Joe's, and thank you again to Nathan for the excellent service!

Most items are Trader Joe's brand, and a lot of them honestly beat big-name brands. The frozen snacks are excellent overall, with only a few misses, and you can't go wrong with the spices, meat, or coffee. One thing I really like is that you can actually ask a crew member to open a snack so you can try it right there. If you don't like it, no worries at all. The produce is fresh, and the staff keeps the store well stocked and easy to shop even if it's crowded. The ambiance feels like a small local grocery store, which makes shopping there more enjoyable. The staff is friendly and incredibly helpful, and Trader Joe's easily has the fastest baggers of any grocery store. Depending on what you're making, you might need to stop at a larger store for a few specialty items, but I can usually handle my full weekly grocery run here.

Inconvenience is not "quirky."…read more Aldi is a decent market where you'll be able to get most, but not all, of what you need, for mostly good prices. However, they have certain business practices that seem to exist for no other reason than to make them "stand out," and irritate the customer. First- the carts. You need to slot in a quarter to get a cart. Its 2018, I barely even carry around paper money. No one is going to steal your carts, Aldi. Nobody cares. Thanks for making me navigate a too-small parking lot with a cart just to get my quarter back. Your system is antiquated and actively hostile to the customer. Second- bagging. I have no problem with paying an extra five cents for bagging. Aldi charges ten cents, which is pathetic but whatever. I use a handful of bags- and reuse them for other things. I'm willing to pay for some bags. What I DO have a problem with is the bagging system. You don't even ask if I want bags, and you just start chucking loose items into my cart? I'm not spoiled. I'm fine with bagging my own stuff. What annoys me is that I'm expected to put up with you speeding through my items, chucking them into the cart, and then having me (and everyone else) go stand off to the side to re-pack everything. PROVIDING POOR SERVICE AND ACTING AS IF YOU'RE DOING ME A FAVOR IS NOT OKAY. Here's an (incredibly obvious) fix: have the cashier ask if I want bags. If yes, give them to me, and hand me the items as they're scanned, and I'll put them in bags. Honestly the whole experience really soured me on Aldi. It's hipster nonsense- being deliberately inconvenient so they can seem "unique."

Was excited to see seeded watermelons and seeded grapes! We also grabbed some jelly's and apple butter. The Apple Butter took me back to Sunday mornings breakfast at Grandmas. The woman who checked us out was an absolute delight, warm, funny, and exactly what you hope for at a local farm stand. Unfortunately my experience in the herb section was the opposite. When I asked about strawberry plants and was told they didn't have any, I mentioned I was a first time gardener and asked if she could recommend something beginner friendly. Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. It's absolutely worth checking out.

The Hidden Jewel in Brandywine…read more "The Instagram Find That Turned Into a Family Food Mission." June 9, 2026 -- the day Instagram convinced me to get in the car and chase down a food spot that looked too good to be true. The video I saw made Cedarville Store look like a local treasure, so I punched the address into the GPS and went on faith. When I pulled up, I didn't see a single sign... but the parking lot was packed, which is the universal sign for "the food is serious in here." Inside, people were waiting everywhere -- a good omen. I wandered around and spotted a refrigerator full of cakes and banana pudding, but I stayed strong. Today was about the real food. Dessert would have to wait. They've got two sections: Food pickup & cashier Ordering counter I checked the menu and had no idea what to choose. So I asked the woman taking orders what Cedarville is known for. She didn't hesitate:"The fried chicken." Say less. I ordered: A fried chicken platter with green beans and mashed potatoes A chicken salad sandwich A BLT I braced myself for a long wait -- the crowd suggested it -- but the food came out surprisingly fast. And the prices? Unbelievable. The kind of prices that make you double‑check the receipt because you assume something's missing. I took everything straight to the family food critics: my mother and big sister. The BLT All three of us agreed: outstanding.I forgot to ask for crispy bacon, but they delivered it anyway. The tomatoes and lettuce were fresh, the bacon had the perfect crunch -- a simple sandwich done perfectly. The Chicken Salad Now, I'm a tuna‑salad‑over‑chicken‑salad kind of guy.But my mother and sister? Chicken salad royalty. And even I have to admit -- this sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. They put their own twist on it, and it worked. My mother and sister both stamped it with approval. The Fried Chicken -- The Star I rarely order fried chicken from restaurants because I prefer my wife's or my mother's. But I'm not going to lie...This chicken was outstanding. Perfectly seasoned.Perfectly crispy.Perfectly cooked. My mother and sister were ready to get in the car and go back for more. When they say it's good, it's good. Final Verdict Cedarville Store is exactly what Instagram promised -- a hidden jewel with great food, great prices, and flavors that make you want to return the next day. I'll be back very soon. And next time... I'm not walking past that dessert fridge.
