This new market is super great and very affordable. Every Wednesday new fruits and vegetables are delivered.

Inconvenience is not "quirky." Aldi is a decent market where you'll be able to get most, but not all, of what you need, for mostly good prices. However, they have certain business practices that seem to exist for no other reason than to make them "stand out," and irritate the customer. First- the carts. You need to slot in a quarter to get a cart. Its 2018, I barely even carry around paper money. No one is going to steal your carts, Aldi. Nobody cares. Thanks for making me navigate a too-small parking lot with a cart just to get my quarter back. Your system is antiquated and actively hostile to the customer. Second- bagging. I have no problem with paying an extra five cents for bagging. Aldi charges ten cents, which is pathetic but whatever. I use a handful of bags- and reuse them for other things. I'm willing to pay for some bags. What I DO have a problem with is the bagging system. You don't even ask if I want bags, and you just start chucking loose items into my cart? I'm not spoiled. I'm fine with bagging my own stuff. What annoys me is that I'm expected to put up with you speeding through my items, chucking them into the cart, and then having me (and everyone else) go stand off to the side to re-pack everything. PROVIDING POOR SERVICE AND ACTING AS IF YOU'RE DOING ME A FAVOR IS NOT OKAY. Here's an (incredibly obvious) fix: have the cashier ask if I want bags. If yes, give them to me, and hand me the items as they're scanned, and I'll put them in bags. Honestly the whole experience really soured me on Aldi. It's hipster nonsense- being deliberately inconvenient so they can seem "unique." read more

Been to 3 Aldi Locations. This one I have been here a couple times because my Wife's parents live here in Maryland and this is the closest one to them. And when we go visit them sometimes we all shop here. I also have been to the Aldo in Chantilly, and the one near us in Fairfax Coty that opened up a little while ago. Anyways I love all the Aldi's. Aldi is awesome! Clean, cheap, and lots of products to choose from. Thank you aldi for coming into all of our lives. YoU help us save money more then Walmart. They don't even follow they're word. I like this location; it is smaller than others, but has good items. The low rating (two stars) are for two ongoing issues...1) There are never enough cashiers working. My experience today prompted me to leave a review - It's Saturday at 12:30 PM and there is one cashier for the entire store. You can imagine the line. Aldi can do better. 2) The store is not as always as tidy and organized as it should be. Again, Aldi can do better. Two new locations opened up in Waldorf and Clinton and they are great. Extremely pleased with the remodel, good use of space. There are more diverse items to choose from. I've noticed more selections in produce which is awesome because I would have to go to multiple stores. I am a faithful Aldi shopper. I have a few Aldi's that I shop at on the regular. Have been in this store a few times and the store itself is small but not terrible. What is terrible is the customer service. I got up to the register and as the cashier is ringing my items she asks if I have a mask I can put on, mind you she is double masked $ behind plexiglass wearing the same gloves she has touched everyone's groceries with. When I said no sorry I don't she began throwing my items in the cart as hard as she could trying to bust up my chops and sent my cans. I told she didn't need to throw my items all hard and she wouldn't even look at me. I paid and moved to the side where she proceeded to nicely greet the person behind me. I have never placed a bad review anywhere and am not a complainer but she was downright mean and rude. I tried to call but didn't get an answer. read more

Genius discount grocery store! They keep the staff and frills to a minimum to cut overhead costs and pass the savings on to the customer. I actually drive about 30 minutes to shop here once a month. If you love a good deal and don't mind trying non-name brand foods, this place is for you. The Brandywine location is new and clean. I don't consider myself a person that needs to shop at a place like this, but why spend twice as much on things when you don't have to? I'm especially enamored with this place because they have a healthy food line called Fit & Active. So, for example, the cheapest I can get light yogurt at my local grocery store without coupons is about 50 cents a cup, on sale. At ALDI, fit and active yogurt is 35 cents a cup all the time. ALDI doesn't have as many flavors, but for 35 cents, I sure do stock up on what they do have. We also enjoy the string cheese, whole grain pasta, protein bars, fruit crisps, lean ground beef and ground turkey. Each time we shop there, it's an adventure. They don't consistently carry the same items, so sometimes what we love might not be there and many times there are new items to try. Some tips: It's a quarter to rent a shopping cart there. You use the quarter to unlock a cart from a row of carts, use it, and return it when your finished. Upon return, your quarter is refunded. Bags are an extra charge, so it's best to bring your own reusables. You are expected to bag your own groceries at counters after the checkout. They do not accept credit cards - you can use cash, debit, and some other forms of payment. read more

Pros: -Easy parking lot to get in/out -Store is newer, well lit, well organized, and well stocked (I've been to springfield, Alexandria, and the other one in alexandria off of van dorn) -organic selections are good -specialty cheese are very nice -prices are great! Smartest way to grocery shop. One thing I learned in marketing is that name brands are quite often packaged in off label packaging at a far cheaper price. Aldi even has name brands cheaper than big stores. I have even seen milk for $.99 a gallon! At the minimum it is worth stopping by for the basics. Small store and bring a quarter for your grocery cart. That is one of many ways they keep there overhead down. read more

For the third time, an aldi's cashier has had a very unfriendly attitude and this time one of the cashiers threw my stuff into the cart. I asked her to please stop throwing my food and she said that she had to work quickly yet no one was behind me. Terrible customer service and a very bad attitude. I would rather go to a place that costs more then here where I pay less and get bad service and attitude all the time. The cashier did not make feel welcomed at all. I recently visited this location for the first time and was not impressed! They had a total of about 9 baskets so I had to wait for a basket. There's hardly anything there. Very limited and I found the prices to be much better at my local Food Lion grocery store. I though the checkout person was not friendly at all. I will not go back! read more

Love Aldi. Good prices, good finds. Can I get everything I need here, no. But with the money I save at Aldi on basics I have enough in my budget to go to a more expensive store for the few items they don't have. This location is newer, the plaza is a little crazy because it's across from a Chick-fil-A. But get past that drive through line and your good read more

I would recommend Aldi to anyone on a budget! They have a huge selection of fresh fruit and vegetables as well as great prices on staple items. You will save at least 50% on those items alone. read more

I feel as if it's a requirement for cashiers here to have RBF. I picked up a toy for my daughter with a hand written $6.99 underneath of it. No other tag near it and no description. When it rang up $18.99, I told the cashier where I got it from and the cashier huffed and puffed and said "the 6.99 wasn't the right one." I politely told her I did not want to get it anymore to which she huffed and puffed again and said "You've got to wait for an override." The cashiers here are the rudest I've ever seen. You would think they would like the fact that they get paid pretty well and get to sit down for most of their shift. read more

My experience is always good coming to this Aldi's, but the last few times the produce had flies all around it to the point where there was no way I could purchase it, floors were nasty, and strawberries and green beans had thick white fuzz on it...they were rotten. The meat section even looks unkept, its dirty, and sometimes I'll see blood on the racks. I used to come to Aldi's exclusively for the fresh produce and fruit, but now I'm going elsewhere until quality control and cleanliness is improved. I love this store. I love the company. I love that the staff is very helpful and very friendly. The cashier, Sarah, and I were chatting the other day. I love that despite having non-brand names, you get good-quality, inexpensive food like cereals. For example, a "family size" cereal at a regular grocery store would cost you $4 -$5. It's $2-$3 here! Also, you can get a can of tuna for 65 cents, a big can of mixed vegetables for 55 cents, and a big can of diced tomatoes for 55 cents - all fresh, all healthy. Depending on your grocery list, you can get a cart-full of food for roughly $40, desert included (which by the way, the 12-in-a-pack ice cream sandwiches are $1.99). I especially love the bagels which I eat for breakfast at work. The only size they have is what would be considered jumbo at other grocery stores and it's $1.49 for a pack of 6. It used to be $1.29, then $1.39, but they recently raised the price due to rising cost of gas and food prices. That's another thing. They adjust the prices according to the cost of gas and food; they set a price, increase it when gas and stuff gets expensive, and REDUCE the prices of items when the costs go down. They are really on the consumers' side, helping to save us money. One of the best things about the store is the cart policy. You have to put in a quarter to get a cart but you get it back when you return it. This really helps to curb trashy carts and it especially helps to ensure that there's no random cart in the parking lot area that it is preventing you from parking your car in a space or worse, that the wind would give a cart motion that will make it move and dent your car. If you don't have a quarter, that sucks but you can use empty boxes, placed neatly all over the store, to carry your items. That's yet another point. Indirectly, the store encourages "green" shopping. It sells grocery bags, very cheaply, but you're encouraged to bring your own bag(s) (most people do, especially me) and even use empty boxes to bag your groceries. I love the MAJOR savings, the neatness, the staff, and the items itself. THIS IS MY STORE!!! All my family, friends, and even my co-workers know it. I'm the resident poster-child of Aldi. read more
