Stopped by here on a Saturday evening at 6pm with 3 of my friends. It was a busy night probably because there was only 1 server. We got there just before the crowd arrived so we did not have to wait. We felt bad because she was trying to handle all the tables on her own plus any of the door dash orders coming thru. Door dash people were coming to pick up orders that were not ready and she was waiting on the cooks to finish up the orders for the tables as well. You can tell the cooks looked overwhelmed. Not sure if it mattered but they were 2 Mexicans cooking back there...maybe they weren't trained enough? My 2 star rating is NOT for the service, although it could be much improved. But my 2-star rating is because of the food. I definitely eat a lot of Korean food and, while I totally understand different restaurants have their own different recipes and cook it differently, we were highly disappointed. The only thing that was okay was the fried chicken. You can't really mess up fried chicken though. We ordered a lot of other dishes..lacking much flavor, some dishes were overcooked and almost mushy consistency. Besides the fried chicken we ordered the Seafood pancake (which was okay), the Daeji Bulgogi, brisket bulgogi, spicy chicken, japchae mandoo. It was so bad, we did not finish our food nor did we take it home for leftovers. Unless I hear from friends and family this place is good and to give it another try again, we probably will not be going back. read more

A new Korean restaurant found behind the mountain mikes! We loved the food so much. We got the omelette rice, king donkatsu, yangyum chicken, and jjamppong rice (not pictured). The soup was spicy and my husband loved it. I didn't even have time to take a picture before he dug in. He said it hit the spot. If you like spice, we recommend the soup because it does have a kick, The don katsu is truly a size for a king. Really big and crispy!! We both really enjoyed the omelette rice with their house sauce. They hit that one on the nail. Now let's talk about the chicken. THE CHICKEN!! Korean chicken is known for the crunch and boy were the chicken crunchy! It was hot and juicy and crispy. Definitely one of the best Korean chicken spots in the 831 hands down. We got the tradition yangyum flavor and we really enjoyed it. The staff were really nice and were attentive. The space was clean. The restaurant is a bit tucked away, but it is a spot that I would recommend and take my friends and family to. read more

Love this place. It's a tough location and it seems like a lot of restaurants have come and gone here over the years. This latest tenant deserves a chance - please give them a try. The lunch meals are a tremendous value. Maybe dinners are not so much...dunno. But all the dishes I've tried were amazing - so flavorful and fresh. Last time I went I thought the jap chae was pretty much mind blowing. The ban chan was so amazing I ended up buying some more separately to take home. One time I got the #4 spicy chicken combo. My only nit was that the chicken was in pretty large chunks that were a little hard to eat. The pieces weren't under-done but they certainly weren't "well done" either. No matter - I ended up taking about half home (the portions are HUGE), re-cooking, and making two more meals out of the meat! read more

This food was amazing! It was beautiful, it was hot, it was delicious, it was plentiful. I went in for lunch and didn't know what to expect. There were no pictures on the menu and I rarely go out for Korean food. I ordered the spicy chicken. I picked at the sides before the main dish came out, but as soon as it did...BAM! The chicken came out in a sizzling stone bowl. The chicken combined with all of the sides was like the A-Team of lunches, expertly assembled for maximum impact. I have to be honest, I was extremely disappointed. Nothing was fresh made or even warm except for the 해물 파전 (Korean seafood pancake). I ordered 3 things on the menu that should have come to me piping hot...or at least warm. To top it all off....I was flabbergasted that I had to pay extra to even get a little dish of kimchee!!! At a Korean restaurant! Kimchee and rice are Korean food staples!!! I was so shocked. Wow! Disappointed doesn't even express how sub standard this place was! I think if you are Korean or really love Korean food, this place would not be an appropriate place for you. I felt the food was on the bland side. We ordered soft tofu soup and yangyum fried chicken. The portion sizes were good and everything was very tasty. The soup was a bit on the salty side though. We left full and satisfied. The server didn't come by very often but we didn't need much so it was fine. It just took some effort to get someone to bring the bill but at least we didn't feel rushed to leave. read more

Needless, we decided to stay and give it a try and I am so glad we did! Everything was SO good! You can control the level of spicy on your dishes. Every meal gets their own ban chan (Korean side dishes) 3 items. They gave us kimchi, japchae and this sweet chicken. They all were very good and tasty! The restaurant is small, but very beautifully decorated. They have TV's playing KPop music videos and KPop music as well. Very lively. The staff there is very attentive, helpful and courteous. Great menu, good food, attentive wait staff. The only negative is they need to hire more wait staff. I came in around 6:00, was seated immediately, ordered, and got my food fairly quickly. By the time I was done, though, the place was packed and there was a huge crowd at the door waiting to get seated. I had one of the best meals of my life here!! I ordered the boiled tofu and vege soup which came with rice and 3 sides (kimchi, pickled radish, and garlic stems). We also got the Korean fried boneless chicken for my kids (picky eaters) and they loved it! We got the pork gyoza as a starter (also kid approved) and my husband got some spicy pork dish. It was tge best fried chicken I've ever had, so crispy. Back to my soup tho-- it had so much flavor every bite was insanely good. Not too spicy, but I did add some rice to my soup to cool it down heat/spicyness-wise because it was so tasty I couldn't stop eating. The portion was big enough that I took the leftovers home. Our server also noticed how much we liked the sides of kimchi and garlic stems so they gave us more. I am definitely coming back -- this is my new favorite restaurant in the area. I am a bay area girl I am 50% Korean and 50% Chinese and my husband grew up in marina/Salinas and when we were visiting my in-laws one weekend we were driving around and saw BaDA and WOW we were not disappointed. Came here with my daughter for dinner last night and we really enjoyed ourselves! Pleasant atmosphere with Kpop playing in the background. We had the fried mandu, bibimbap, and brisket daen jang jjigae. Polished off every bite! The banchan consisted of three dishes and we also made that disappear. Service was so kind and attentive. Arrived and restaurant was empty we were allowed to seat ourselves husband got the Hawaiian ice tea which we thought would be like pineapple juice and tea especially for $5 but it was just a can of ice tea. I ordered a water and had to wait for them to fix some machine before I could get my water. One of the plastic cups came out burnt and warped. Cups were still wet from the washer. As for the interior design I'm disappointed a few posters and neon signs but it still looks like the crab place that used to be here.
