We scoped out a few places and landed here for a change from the typical pub vibe, Italian pasta joints around the corner, or chains like Jack Astor's. We beat the lunch crowd, arriving just before 2 PM. Service was great--we were seated immediately and ordered a few tapas: some roasted Brussels sprouts and a selection of meat options including Persian BBQ lamb, achiote grilled chicken, and sticky pork ribs. The chicken was my least favorite, though it wasn't bad. Everything else was absolutely delicious and flavorful. I'd really like to come back another time for proper drinks--they have an impressive wine list and a nice selection of sangrias that caught my eye. Definitely worth a return visit if you're passing through Kingston.

They have a private party room downstairs which is also where the restrooms are located so the restaurant isn't really accessible. They recommend 3-4 dishes per person. This can be expensive as most dishes are in the 20 dollar range. The steak with chimichurri sauce was excellent!!! But was also $44.00 for about 13 small slices. We also ordered a Thai green curry cod that comes with cashews infused in the sauce. We had a nut allergy at the table so they were able to remove the cashews to make the dish nut free. Service was decent but this is a dining environment where you are not rushed out the door. Dishes come out sporadically so you are meant for slow dining. This is a good place to celebrate a special occasion or if you just want something different while in Kingston.

I wish I would have seen the ratings for this place before we went…read more Net-net: Expensive. Avoid this place. Service is bad. Food is average at best, and they overcharge. Monday evening, a lot of other local places were closed, looked interesting from the outside. Should have stopped there! It was not busy at all, 5 tables. Seated rather quickly. Menus on table good! Then.................it took awhile before waitress came to get drinks and apps order. Then it took another long while to get 4 drinks. Again, 5 tables. I am from Montreal and we are used to "casual" service, but the waitress was chatty Cathy and yacking it up with a couple at the bar. So eventually drinks came.... Apps when they came out were good. Bruchetta did come out wet, the cook should have grilled the bread before putting the toppings on, then flash heated under the salamander. But overall an ok start. However the silverware and napkins were not on the table, bit of a delay but they came with some water at the table. Then the long wait came....waitress chatted with bar patrons, then two women came in who the waitress knew, she seated them in the back and sat down with them and chatted.....and chatted. I finally had to get up, approach the waitress (she saw me get up and shot over from the chatty table) and ask for a second round of drinks, refill of the water jug (no service pours here) and ask about the food. Then another wait......drinks come out. No food. Waitress saunters to the kitchen and food arrives. We had the vodka gnocchi and tomato bowtie pasta. All 4 plates had been sitting under a heat lamp. Gnocchi had a decent rosé sauce, but definitely not a vodka sauce. Sun dried tomato bowtie with chicken came out oily with no tomato taste, and the chicken was dried out. Not even worthy to take home. My daughters ordered mock drinks, but we were charged full price for drinks. When my partner explained to the waitress that her plate was oily and dry, the waitress did offer to replace it, but we would still be waiting for that to be served if we took her up on it. Waitress simply took the plate off of the bill. Clear the staff is not motivated and this place will close soon if this is the norm. Avoid....there are much better places to go in Kingston!

Lauren was our server and was super friendly, though she was apparently new-ish, which showed in some of our orders not being quite right. Everything was also pretty slow and the timing of dishes coming out wasn't uniform. Pizza was fine, but could've been hotter and a bit more crisp on the crust. Wings were good, but not the type we ordered. The half order of nachos was crazy big and just ok, flavor-wise. With limited options at the point, it's fine, but temper your expectations.

The restaurant is known for its wood-fired menu that blends American cuisine with creative twists and influences. My wife and I live somewhat close to Sodus Point and had been meaning to go out to take a little day trip. Her co-workers actually gave her a gift card for Six50, so we decided it'd be a perfect opportunity to go out for a nice day and try out the restaurant. The reviews were concerning, but hey, we weren't paying for it anyway. We ended up there around 1PM on a Saturday. Sodus Point is very much a touristy-beach-boat town, the streets are lined with restaurants and historical landmarks while the beach and bay surrounds the little village. While there were plenty of people around, there was still plenty of close, open, free parking on the streets, and we were able to park only a couple minute walk from the restaurant. There were only a couple occupied tables and we were sat pretty immediately at an outside table when we walked in, although we were told we'd have to wait a couple minutes until our server got back to the restaurant, but we didn't ask exactly what that meant. When our server did show, which wasn't long after, we already had our order decided. One of Six50s things is that everything is wood fired and there are no deep fryers at the restaurant - they even have a sign out front saying so - so we chose an order of their wood fired chicken wings in their "dynamic duo" sauce, a combination of buffalo and garlic parmesan. My wife ordered a Mount Vesuvius pizza, while I chose the Adriano pizza. Our wings came out first relatively quickly, and while they were cooked very well, the sauce had 0 flavor. Most of it slipped right off the wings onto the plate, but even when we rolled them around, the flavor just wasn't there. They say everything including their sauces are home made, so while the wing sauce wasn't great, we did enjoy their (assuming) home made bleu cheese. We waited for a long time for our pizzas, around another 40 minutes AFTER we received our wings. At a busy restaurant, wouldn't have thought anything of it, but there were maybe 3 other tables sat with us in the restaurant, so it seemed like a long time. The pizzas were surprisingly not bad - we felt they had both pros and cons. The pros being there were plenty of toppings, good flavor, and one pizza is probably enough for 2 people. The cons being, while there were plenty of toppings, there was very little cheese. That, and both my wife and I had slices that were completely burned from the wood fire, and didn't even have any toppings on them anymore. Our server was friendly and attentive when we needed it. We had a $65 gift card and only owed $5 after it for 2 pizzas, an order of wings, and a fancy drink for my wife, and we brought home pretty much an entire third pizza form the left overs, so not a bad value. My only other complaints were that there was a broken lock on the one person men's room door, which they were aware of because they had a sign on it saying to please knock first, and while there's beautiful views on the outside patio of the bay, it'd be a much nicer experience out there if they cleaned it. The barrier that's up between the tables and the bay was just absolutely COVERED in cobwebs, as were the string of lights they had hung overhead. Overall, it was not as bad as the other reviews had me believing it would be, but it also didn't impress us either. It was an edible, mostly enjoyable meal, but nothing that really stood out and makes me want to return.

The bar is average, serving many of the popular cocktails and local beers. It has a chill atmosphere inside. There's pool tables and a jukebox so the crowd controls the jams! The bartender was super friendly and talked to everyone without being rude, considering most of my friends and I that went were already on a good level! Side note: don't let your friend order you a trash can when you've already had a few shots and beer, mixing always gets crazy! #Cheers #Yolo #ItsLit It gets really cold here, around -20 degrees Fahrenheit when I was there from February to April. That's where bars come in handy, alcohol always warms up ya system and people start dancing in there, you kinda forget you're in New York! Fun place to visit if you're in the area, especially for those that are unfortunate enough to be stationed at Fort Drum! I'm one of the many survivors of that icy hell.
