We are very pleased with Tucson Professional Landscaping for doing our patio extension project…read more Right from the first contact, Eddie was prompt and professional. Easy appointment set up to look at the job. He was patient and explained what the job would entail. He put his bid in writing and there was no pressure. We had enough time to make an informed decision. He and his crew showed up within the window of agreed upon and finished 2 days earlier than the promised completion date! The crew was polite and punctual. They were careful and made sure our outdoor furniture were out of the way. The clean up at completion was very decent. Eddie made sure the our irrigation system was working properly and did a walk through with me prior to taking the final payment. The litmus test for me was when our new patio extension got two thumbs up from the Mrs!

This is an example of what I recently wrote to the owner after their last visit...... Your crew today did an excellent job !. I am very pleased with how they operated and worked together. They were very conscientious and completed things according to my every request. This seemed to be a different crew from last visits but it didn't matter, they were very well informed and answered all my questions. Good to know that all your crew are a reflection of how your company operates. They maintain our landscaping and irrigation system on a monthly basis, do every request, and get the job done in half the time of our previous company. Hard workers that show up on time and are very responsive to our requests.

I searched for a masonry contractor, call a half dozen, three came out to the site, and we really "clicked" with Braulio. He grew up in his father's and uncle's construction business and has now branched out on his own. I cannot recommend Southwest Valley Contracting highly enough. Braulio and his employees (including his brother and cousin) are polite, prompt, and know their stuff. Braulio communicated both in person and via text multiple times throughout the process to be sure we were always on the same page. He listened to our ideas and concerns and then gave us his professional insight. His price was right in line with the bids from the other two contractors and very fair considering the brute labor required in 100+ temperatures! They demolished our existing wall and began trenching for the new footer in one day. Then the rebuild began with perfect integration to the existing wall. They even came on the weekend to finish what they started. Plus, they regraded the backyard, fixed a couple of broken irrigation drip lines and cleaned up all their construction debris. In less than 2 weeks, we had doubled the sized of our backyard! Our beautiful new wall is stuccoed and ready for paint. We will definitely call SWVC when we're ready to put in our fireplace and pavers. Even our neighbor was so impressed he wants to use them for his next project.

In a final attempt, I asked for a referral, and they gave Braulio's info and high praises. They were right! Braulio answered all questions in a very knowledgable manner, gave the second lowest price out of six bids, and was the most professional across the board. Even hitting a snag with the project, which is not uncommon in construction, he made sure there was communication, follow through, and resolution. I couldn't ask for anything more. He did a great job and at a reasonable price. Even with me being a bit of a control freak, Braulio never missed a beat. We made sure that there was clarity on what I wanted, what he could provide, and if it was a good fit. This project was for cutting back my block wall and widening the gate opening, as well as using a composite material for pickets versus wood. We are very pleased! We have already discussed that we will call on him again when we are ready for our paver/gas firepit addition. I don't give recommendations freely but will for Braulio and Southwest Valley Contracting!

The stone is so beautiful that I feel like I am bringing a piece of artwork into my home. I am sure that everything will continue to be exceptional with the service and quality as we move into installation. Absolutely disgusting experience with Ashlynd at Pools By Design AZ…read more I had to delay my pool project and financing for a year because I was battling cancer. Instead of showing an ounce of compassion, decency, or professionalism, Ashlynd chose to be rude, condescending, and outright demeaning. She talked down to me, belittled me over the communication gap, and made it very clear she wanted me to feel small over my financial timing. Let that sink in: I was considering paying this company $80,000, and this is how I was treated. It was arrogant, cruel, and completely unacceptable. No customer should ever be chastised or made to feel "less than," especially while dealing with a life-altering medical crisis. That interaction told me everything I needed to know about this company. I took my business elsewhere, and I strongly recommend others do the same. If this is how Pools By Design AZ treats people before they even get your money, I can only imagine how bad things get after.

After that I received a quote from all of them within 48 hours. The reason I decided to go with AZ Custom Landscapes was because I was very impressed with how Martin explained the project to me and he was the only one who mentioned a weed barrier for the areas where I wanted to add small rocks. It was easy to work with Kary during the entire project and her responses to my question were quick especially to my design changes. Also, their price fell somewhere in the middle of the 4 quotes I received and it came with a 2 year guarantee. When the project started, Martin walked me through what he and his team will be doing during the week. Once they got done, they cleaned everything nicely and walked me through to get my approval. I was very impressed with the work and really enjoyed working with Martin. I strongly recommend AZ Custom Landscapes to anyone looking to get great quality landscaping done for a reasonable price! They did all the site prep, installed all the tile pavers, a concrete slab for a hot tub and artificial turf. They also built a built-in BBQ for me and ran the natural gas to the BBQ.  Before I hired them, I bid the job out to three different companies.  AZ Custom Landscapes was the most professional throughout that process, and the only company that gave me a detailed bid in only a couple of days (the others took much longer!) and the only that could do it all themselves. Martín and the rest of the workers were professional, respectful and hardworking.  They showed up when they were scheduled to, worked long days and always cleaned up the job site at the end of the day. They worked with me on fine-tuning some of the details of the job, and helped me with a few extras that weren't on the list! It was obvious that Martín really cares about the quality of his work, which is rare these days. Professional, fair and top quality work.  I highly recommend AZ Custom Landscapes!!
