Ambiance: it's an old fashioned dive bar located in Culver City, usually very loud and busy inside, full bar service and multiple TVs, good for large group hangout, although the odor inside and restrooms weren't that great Service: friendly but so slow, it was a busy sports night, and apparently they were understaffed for a while, it took forever to place the order and receive the food Food & Drink: variety choices for drinks and happy hour items BACKSTAGE GARLIC FRIES - *** average BACKSTAGE SLIDERS BEEF - *** three sliders choice of beef, dry bread and patty BACKSTAGE NACHOS - *** CHEESE, BEANS, TOMATOES, GREEN ONIONS, CHICKEN, burnt chips and overly salty RAW VEGGIES & RANCH DIP - ** stingy portion and meh taste TEMPURA ONION RINGS - ***** crispy and tasty, highly recommend LA WORKS "LUNAR KITTEN" IPA - **** recommend TARANTULA HILL "LIQUID CANDY" HAZY IPA - *** average Price: decent portions and affordable prices, minimal increase over the time, expect about $30 per person for food and drink, I've been back here ten times over several years, overall pleasant experience

This place was perfect for a rainy, chilly Saturday afternoon. We arrived just before 3 p.m., when there were only a few people inside, but by the time we left nearly every table was filled. The atmosphere is dark, cozy, and inviting, with warm lighting, candlelit tables, and a classic pub vibe. There's plenty of seating, including high-tops and comfortable banquette seating, and they even have a cozy fireplace that adds to the charm. Multiple TVs are scattered throughout, making it a great spot to settle in and linger. We ordered at the bar--water, Chardonnay, a vegan Beyond Burger, garlic fries, and chips and salsa. My husband ordered a sandwich and a Coke. The food took a little while, especially considering no one else seemed to be eating at the time, but we didn't mind at all. We relaxed, sipped our drinks, and watched ice speed skating on one of the TVs. Once the food arrived, it was absolutely worth the wait. Everything tasted freshly made, including the perfectly crispy chips. The garlic fries were delicious, and my vegan burger was light yet filling. We ordered another round of drinks, and by then the place was hopping. Huge kudos to the bartender, who was essentially running a one-man show--taking orders, making drinks, and delivering food--all without looking frazzled and always with a smile. I was genuinely surprised he was handling the entire crowd on his own, especially since the place was nearly packed by 3:30 p.m. Parking was easy; we found a spot just around the corner. We'll definitely be back!

Honestly, I'm surprised I hadn't been here sooner dive bars are usually my go to. I met up with a friend and we ended up having a great time. It was definitely busy for a Thursday, but when we asked the doorman, he said we had walked in on karaoke night and a few birthday celebrations, so the crowd made sense. Despite that, the ambiance was still solid and comfortable. Parking was easy to find, although the surrounding neighborhood requires permits, there were plenty of open meters nearby. The staff was friendly and attentive, and ordering at the bar was straightforward. We grabbed our number, and the food came out quickly along with our drinks. Overall, a fun, lively spot that I'd happily come back t

Stopped by on Friday, 06/28/25 to meet with my old coworkers - catching up!!! PARKING: Can be a bit tricky, so read the signs (street parking) AMBIANCE: Upon entering the place was extremely dark and dim, so it will take time for your eyes to adjust to the environment. A bit small but a great place to mingle and chat. FOOD AND DRINKS: We ordered drinks. I personally ordered 2 drinks: 1 Island Margarita and 1 Watermelon Margarita. We ordered appetizers and shared: - 1 backstage garlic fries - 1 guac and chips - 1 cheese quesadilla - 1 chicken skewers with thai peanut dipping sauce RESTROOMS: Only one stall for women.

The breakfast burrito was TOP TIER!!! It came all by itself, but it was sooo good. My drink was good and the bartender who placed my order and made my drink had really good customer service. The wings...my friend said the wings were too small, but "hey." lol The music was great. I love karaoke!!! Great spot. Glad we came!

Racist. Incompetent. Unsanitary. The "men" at the door warned us that there is vomit on the restroom toilets & floors. Additionally, they refused us entry after providing valid, unexpired government identification cards. They required passports in addition to our driver's licenses . This place doesn't deserve a single star. Based on the conversations from passing customers as they exited the establishment, you can sum it up as "I guess its just too bad" lol. With so many good places in DT Culver, this bar is a waste of time. Hope this helps some yelpers.

Went for a former coworker's retirement party. I thought it was going to be open bar, but for the price of the drinks it made sense she made guests buy their own drinks and food. The cocktail was about $14. Pretty strong drink, glad I only got one. I wasn't that interested in the food on the menu. Just looked like basic bar food. But the service was good and the ambience was great. Kind of dark, but work a giant tv screen for the sports junkies, which I am not. Honestly don't think I'll come back as I am not really a bar hopper.

I am a Seahawks fan. This is a Seahawks bar. I've been coming here for two years. Love it. Wished I lived closer. It's a football atmosphere. Food is what you'd expect from a bar. Not Michelin Star but not bad at all. I like it & have never had a bad experience w it. Service is great. They're All very attentive/ quick.

Been watching Seahawk games here for 13 years and the staff has always been the absolute best. Cedric who started it in 2005 is a fantastic host with his booming voice who gets the fans hyped up and ready for kick off while DJ Sonny plays the best song selection for everyone to join in singing, dancing and cheering the Hawks to victory. The food is pretty darn tasty!! Fun times with fun 12's! Go Hawks!!

The location has a spacious area filled with a variety of wine options. I picked a Bourgogne Chardonnay from France ($36). We came on a late Monday afternoon and, lucky for us, they have a bar special on Mondays: No corkage fee! They also have Happy Hour-- Monday to Friday from 3-6pm. The Chardonnay was divine! I would totally return and purchase another bottle. We also ordered a charcuterie board and took advantage of their happy hour special for $20 (pick two-- one cheese and one meat). We opted for the 'Humboldt Fog' Chèvre as our cheese option and the Bresaola for our meat option. Both were delicious, but the chèvre was truly exquisite. We shared one charcuterie board with five people and it was enough; however if you're on the hungry side, I suggest two charcuterie boards for five or six people. In addition to meat and cheese, it comes with crackers, some pickled veggies, onion jam, candied nuts, whole grain Dijon, and apple slices. On the left side of the venue you have your variety of wine options; on the right side, there's the bar and some tables, plus a small area with other snacks for purchase that pair nicely with wine or beer. They even sell the Torres truffle chips! My only complaint is the service, unfortunately. The lady at the cashier was super friendly, however the bar tender was not so welcoming. When he came over to our table to open our wine bottle, he didn't greet us, smile, or say anything. He took our bottle and opened it and then asked who was going to taste. Not sure if he thought we didn't speak English since we were speaking another language when he came to our table, but overall, we all noticed his attitude and thought it was rather unwelcoming. Because of this experience, I rate this place a 4/5, however, everything else was great!

Everyone is nice, knowledgeable and non pretentious. The staff has encouraged me to try so many different wines I wouldn't normally do for fear of looking like a noob. I've enjoyed a wide range of wines from an orange one day, a pinot next, a buttery Chardonnay or a spicy Syrah. Every time I'm there it's a fun experiment. :) If you're a lightweight like me, I'd suggest eating a meal beforehand because the menu is pretty light. The place itself is very modern and nice. Overall the vibe it basically a Houston's-type place. And service was good. All of the food overall was very good. Nothing really too crazy. To me, the menu is a little... boring. But, I will say everything was tasty. We got the Cajun shrimp salad (which was simple and clean but tasty), a cheese pizza for the kids (which was good!), a brisket French dip (very tasty and a horseradish sauce with a LOT of bite), a vodka pasta (was good but it actually is TOO big a portion to eat by one's self), the Ahi Tuna frites (the tuna was good and served with a nice green sauce), and the grilled cabbage side (with brown butter and some pomegranate molasses--it was actually my favorite thing!). The key distinctive thing about Laurel Grill seems to be that a lot of things get cooked by that fire which really adds a nice smoky touch (like the shrimp and the ahi tuna and the cabbage). My only major complaint would be the fries were just okay. After a minute or two they weren't crispy anymore. As good as everything else was, I thought they would step things up with the fries but they were just average. Anyways, while I overall am not that excited by the menu, it definitely is a great place to go where everybody will be able to find something tasty to eat. And overall, the portions were pretty fair.

The spritz was strong or my tolerance has gone way down. First course: I was pleasantly surprised by how big the Avacado toast was. It had a jam at the bottom that brought the whole dish together. Like my HH review, some micro greens would have taken my heard back. I just love microgreens! Deviled eggs and croquetts I've tried before. They were both pretty good. Croquetts can't do wrong. Mains: I got the crab Benedict and it was awesome! I filled up on my avocado toast so I took half of it home. There was plenty of crab and the poached egg was running and bright orange. That's some healthy eggs! Fresh toast looked amazing as well, same with the burger. I know the burger was also popular at happy hour for the price but I was told it was very good. I'll have to go next time just for that. Parking: Just park by the paid lot by trader Joe's or off Cardiff. Easier than trying to find parking on that street. The paid lot is $1 free and $1 additional hours. The patio was super charming with all the natural lights and shaded by the trees. The service was decent as well. Will took good care of us.

Well, Dine LA is happening and what better way than to try places you've been eyeing. I've heard good things about this place from friends that's been numerous of times and each visit was always amazing. Of course as it's part of Dine LA, it was a given to come and try this place for the first time. We had a reservation on a Friday night which was the start of Dine LA and let me say, this place was packed. Every single tables inside and out was utilized. They've made a name for themselves if it was that lively. Good on their part. It wasn't a long wait till our table was ready. We got seated on the patio side just along the street. Covered canopy with both hi top tables and standard tables. Positive side, there were loads of heat lamps as well as heated fireplaces separating pretty much all the tables. Gotta keep everyone warm during our LA winter. Inside is quite small compared to the seating outdoor with only a few tables. As Dine LA was happening, they offered a three course meal for 45.00 per person. If you weren't interested in that, their regular menu does offer loads of amazing dishes as well. We started off a bottle of their French Pinot which was quite nice. Not too strong and very smooth. Nice pair for dinner. Service was excellent and was taken good care by our waitress which I didn't get her name. She was great and very friendly. Dine LA Menu Starters -Soupe a l'oignon (French onion soup) melted Gruyère and brioche croutons -Ahi tuna tartare- avocado, balsamic reduction and spicy Cajun chips -Escargot a l'ail- 1/2 dozen escargot in garlic and parsley butter Mains -Boeuf Bourguignon- slow roasted beef stew with creamy potatoes puree in red wine sauce -Coq au Vin- braised chicken leg with glazed carrots, pearl onions and bordelaise sauce -Moules Frites (Mussels and fries)- PEI mussels in bisque sauce with garlic, Chablis, brandy Dessert -Crème brûlée- vanilla bean and turbinando sugar -Apple tarte tatin- caramelized apples with puff pastry dough and caramel sauce -Profiteroles- choux dough filled with vanilla ice cream, chocolate sauce and roasted almonds. We each went with one of the starters. The French onion soup was perfect. The broth with the melted cheese, it was amazing. The flavors of everything paired together were perfect. Tuna tartare was great. The seasoning with the glaze and chips to paired with was great. Also fish was perfect and fresh. Lastly the escargot. If this doesn't scream French, I didn't know what does. I've had it at other restaurants and I can say this was amazing. The garlic sauce was perfect. Snails had a nice taste to it and quite tasty. Not tough at all. Everything was excellent. Mains, the boeuf Bourguignon was tasty. Nice chunks of beef with a nice thick sauce and pared with mashed potatoes. Sauce was excellent and not too strong. And the mussels, which was a hefty portion. The sauce which was like a lobster bisque was excellent. I'm use to a wine broth but the bisque was amazing. Nice meaty mussels cooked perfectly. We had to order a side of baguette for the bisque. Dessert, the profiteroles which I highly recommend. Two amazing pieces of puffed pastries filled with vanilla ice cream and topped with chocolate sauce. Mouthwatering at its best. And lastly the apple tarte, the right amount of sweetness and baked to perfection also served with ice cream. I can say that my first time here was amazing. The service, the food and everything was amazing. Not only dinner, they're also offering Dine LA for lunch. Regardless, it's going to be a priority to come back for another meal. The full menu looked amazing. Food was delicious and everyone left full and satisfied. Oh, there's some street parking if you could find them but loads of parking structures nearby.

Staff members were friendly, and our server in particular was super nice. The restaurant was extremely busy, which minimized check-ins with us, but I did generally feel taken care of. Unfortunately, I had a rather subpar experience with the food itself. At somewhat high prices, I expected a stellar croque monsieur. I generally found the dish salty, greasier than it should have been, and lacking in flavor. I also ordered the tomato basil soup, and it was extremely salty and tasted of pureed tomatoes with no seasoning. Additionally, my friend's Benedict actually came out incorrectly (crab instead of lobster). I should also mention that the menu is somewhat unclear about what is/isn't included in a meal. I recommend asking upfront before deciding, especially for combos exclusions and which side dishes are paired with entrees (note that the Benedicts come with additional sides that aren't listed). Unfortunately, it didn't feel worth the trip with so many other great restaurants within that same block.
