My 21st birthday was coming up so she was able to compromise an appropriate pricing and time for me. Erica gave me beautiful highlights and lightened up my hair since it's heavy and thick. I spent about three hours getting my hair washed, colored and styled. I think if you have a date at the hair salon, you just need to expect to make a block of time for it. I've read many of the reviews and I really appreciate Erica's time and patience. If you simply have specific request, you should make it known BEFORE you show up. Britney reminds me of my former now retired hairdresser that I had for the past 23 years. I was very clear and wanted to keep my length. Right from the start, the stylist I believe her name was Bianca older gal. With salt and pepper hair. She began cutting my hair while it was dry also asked me to stand out of my seat while cutting. I've been to several salons and never experienced that. It was unusual to me. By the end of my appointment, my hair was much shorter than I wanted, the layers look very choppy instead of soft and blended. What upset me just as much as I was treated. During the appointment, she made comments about my physical appearance that made me feel uncomfortable. I'm a Taller woman and those comments felt unnecessary and unprofessional. I also mentioned a recent shoulder surgery. Unfortunately she was rough and forceful when moving me. I left feeling disappointed not only with my hair cut but with the overall experience. A haircut can always grow out, but how you make a client feel matters too. I hope this feedback encourages more consideration, better communication, and respect for future clients.

However, this was a bad assumption on my part. She was rude when I pointed out what I was unhappy with - mainly the drab, ashy color and the difference on one side from the other!
