The PrimeRib Sandwich was great. Lots of meat done just as ordered. Really great buy. The fries were a bit over fried for me, but maybe some like them that crispy? Think if I'm ever close to that area again I'd order the same with Onion Rings. Hopefully not quite as long in fried. read more

The food was all very good! We had a crab rangoon pizza and a bbq brisket pizza! Also fried pickles for an appetizer! My friends had an appetizer too! One ordered the fried corn ! I can't remember what but it was good! The pizza was very good and the service was excellent! We had to wait for a fourth person who was late! They were very understanding! The people in the kitchen accidentally dropped one of our pizzas! So they started a second and didn't charge us for the second! Very good place to eat! read more

We decided to try Backdraft based on all the reviews from our friends and family. Unfortunately, our experience didn't match or we visited on an off day. We sat at a sticky booth towards the back and swatted off flies all night as the front door remained open. A loud group of locals drank standing around the bar in the front. We ordered appetizers- cheese balls and mozzarella sticks. Portions were pretty meager. I think their fryer was off as the insides of both were not cooked though and still frozen in the middle. The breading tasted a little funk. Our pizza arrived and it was burnt around the outside. Overall, we left more food on the table then we ate that night. read more

Had multiple friends recommend the pizza. The sauce was strange, almost like a BBQ sauce. We also ordered honey wings. Overall, the food did not live up to the expectation that friends had built up for us. The waitress was busy taking care of multiple tables. She was efficient. The atmosphere was lacking. The front area is a dark bar and the back room is lit with fluorescent lights. read more

I had heard about this place from family, and I stopped by for dinner one night with them. I have had pulled pork pizza a few times, and the one here was the best by far. It make sense why this place is always so busy. Service was fantastic and they had a decent beer selection. read more

I meet up with a girlfriend 1/2 way between our houses yearly and we LOVE to meet up at Backdraft for a perfect meal of specialty pizza. Of course I am partial to the Crab Ragoon- one cannot get anything like that anywhere! Always the service is perfect, the people are warm and friendly! I so wish we lived closer! We actually stopped in twice on our last visit. This is a great little Iowa town with hometown friendly service and wonderful people! Worth the trip! read more

In town for just the night, and my hotel front desk mentioned this was the best place in town. Definitely a no frills place, but the staff was quick and attentive, and you can't go wrong with the happy hour drink specials. They were sold out of wings on a Monday night, but we improvised and grabbed the highly recommended armadillos eggs. Anything wrapped in bacon is great! We grabbed the large "the works" pizza, and it basically had every topping imaginable. Getting to the center of this box cut pizza required a fork and knife, since the weight of the pizza couldn't be held in your hand. read more

Brought my 2 sons & wife in for a pizza. Had BBQ Brisket pizza. It was great. The service was great.

First of all, we have eaten here before and had really good food. Last night was the complete opposite! It took 30 minutes to get our meals ordered then another 45 waiting for it to show up. We ordered pizza and wings and when the pizza came it was completely overlooked and it took another 30 minutes to get our wings which were over cooked but we got them just slightly warm with some being cold in the middle. And even after all of this one of our party never received their food until we were done eating and getting our checks! It was busy but we watched several people that had gotten here way after us receive their food way before us. read more
