I wanted to leave a review on your Facebook page but I can't post on your page so I'll message you…read more "Today on my way back from a conference near Sioux Falls we stopped at the Correctionville Casey's gas station next to Patti's Pit Stop. As I filled up we happened to see the signs near the road and the signs on the building of the old station building boasting of brisket, ribs, pulled pork and more. About that same time a fella wearing overalls stepped out the front door of the shop looked at us as we were refueling our truck and waved at us being friendly. Thinking that it was lunch time and that we were getting hungry that friendly wave sealed the deal. After we refueled the truck we pulled over next door and went inside where we met "Cowboy" our cashier and cook and was immediately welcomed in. After looking at the menu wall and asking our questions we settled on a BBQ Burrito and a Train Wreck grilled sandwich with sides. (next time I'm trying the pork nachos!) When the food came out Cowboy brought us both their original bbq sauce as well as their special Habanero Mango sauce of the week. Let me tell you, this was some of the best BBQ I've had in ages and being from Des Moines there are plenty of places in the metro to choose from but none compared to this little shop. This food was AMAZING. I'm surprised the location didn't have standing room only because if this place was better known about there wouldn't be an empty seat in the house! This is like Correctionville's greatest best kept secret! You've got to try this! The only bad thing about this experience was the realization that Des Moines where I live is nearly three hours away! You've got to try this food!

Me and another group of people were looking inside and nobody was there but they accepted the door dash order and it was a battle getting the order cancelled. Came all the way over here and these people can't even do basic operations to a business like be open when they're advertising they are open. Typical Sioux City nonsense.

Whether it's their brisket, pulled pork, Mississippi beef. (my favorite), macaroni and cheese, or even their smoked cream cheese, you have to try it for yourself. When we were there yesterday, a woman told me she drives from Ponca just for their barbecue and walked out with a whole tray full of ribs. It's that good. Make sure to watch their Facebook page for updates on when they will be open and when they are sold out for the day. They also will give you a preview of what the menu is for the day and what is upcoming. I hear the seafood that they do is amazing. I can't wait to be there for that sometime. If you're on historic fourth in downtown, Sioux City, you won't see a restaurant with this name. Look for the bar Major's and as long as they are serving, you have found your place! This place is a sports bar with plenty of TVs, beer on tap, and your basic mixed drinks. So grab some barbecue, grab a beer, and watch a game while you stuff your face!

It felt like the kind of restaurant you'd find in a college town, and that impressed me. Personally, I think we could use more places like that around here. But the food is probably what you're more curious about, and to that end I can say I never had anything there that I didn't personally like. My favorite is the Southwestern Burger, as it has just enough of a bite without being overpowering. They also serve a delicious corn bread there that is very sweet in spite of the fact that it has some green pepper in it. The times I've been there, the service has been excellent and friendly. In fact, on one occasion some time back, I was eating there with my father and a woman at a table near us began to choke as a piece of food that got stuck in her throat. A situation I'm sure we've all seen on tv or in movies, but the reality of which is horrifying when you see someone in trouble but is trying not to cause a scene and people freeze as they don't know what they should do - all in an instant. But one of the wait staff there quickly came over and performed the Heimlich, helping the woman out. A unfortunate circumstance that no one wants to happen, but just one of those situations in life and it was cool to see someone who worked there handle the situation in such a quick and effective manner. So, kudos to the waitress who was on the ball that night. If you're looking to go out to eat some night in Northwest Iowa and are tired of the usual options in Spencer, consider going over to Crazy Bob's in Hartley. Try 'em out for yourself.

Excellent burnt ends. Service was great and everyone was extremely friendly. We'll definitely be…read moreback.
