Owner is horrible. Let me start by saying I understand and I am not complaining about the long wait due to understaffing. Here is my story. Once seated we order our meal and were waiting without question or complaint. About 25 minutes later a couple were seated and they placed order. Within 20 minutes they were served. Well that order was our order. They had already started to eat it. We ask our server to check on our order because they were saying this is not our order but I gonna eat it. He checked and it was our order. He said ours is being cooked right away. The chief (who I later find out is the owner) bought the other table their original order over and my husband loudly said seriously? She came over saying it was a mistake. Not Im cooking yours let me bring you some fruit.. nothing yet they got another order before we got ours. She came back maybe ten minutes later slammed the food in front of us and my husband says...eggs look perfect...She start to yell and cry that he should of never spoken to her like that on an on.... Lost my appetite for sure. I went to who I thought to the person in charge only to find out she is the owner.. We left...I understand the stress of people working in restaurants but it needs to be a two way street. Be NICE people. read more

Nice little spot - we ended up getting take out breakfast here twice during our stay. Lox bagel sandwiches had a surprisingly hefty serving of salmon. Egg/cheese/bacon sandwich was also tasty. The inside has only 6 small tables; there is some outdoor seating as well as a small parklet nearby that has benches (we opted for the latter). We just enjoyed a delicious lunch here. A friend recommended it. I got the grilled cheese, my husband the BLT everything was cooked perfectly. I get weirded out by how some places cook their bacon but this was crispy and hot and was the perfect amount of smoke flavor. The wait staff was attentive and sooo friendly. They could not have done more to make us feel welcome. The owner, Rene ( I hope I spelled it right) actually came outside to introduce herself to us while we ate. We will be back. The food was delicious but bad service. Staff was laughing and made us wait and when I asked how long more should I wait? ( there was a table available) and they looked at each other and laughed ( it was like they didnt want us to seat on the table of 4 people) but I insisted and finally they let us seat. Why do a customer should ask many times to be seated????? So rude. Attention to the manager: Your place should not treat people like that especially when your food is great. Its the Fourth of July 2018 and they are open regular hours. Reenie, Denise, Rosa, and Louise are wonderful people as are the young women they hire as servers--they all enjoy their work and have the personality for it. The service is superb. The food is amazing too. I myself typically get a simple breakfast of tatos, eggs, and toast but they can do waffles, oatmeal with fresh fruit and nuts, or even an ice cream float in the afternoon. (if you want one for breakfast I'm sure they'd do that too!) What else can I say? Found this small cozy place early in the morning. I think they open at 4:00AM. They decorated with antiques which is nice. They are located in the Bradley Beach train station. Nice place to get a breakfast sandwich and coffee on your way to the beach. Food was pretty decent. Gal that runs the place makes fresh muffins daily. read more

What a great meal today on such a busy day. The staff is young and courteous and I could not believe the quality of the breakfast. There may have been a few complainers, those that might've been in a rush, but my eggs were perfect and the waffles are out of this world. Gianna is a superstar. Terrible service and rude staff. The layout is bizarre as you would expect with a train station cafe. The problem began when we walked in, there is no hostess and it is seat yourself but there are no signs indicating that so I waited online at the counter and asked the clerk what the story was. She advised us to find a seat and she bring waters and menus right over. We waited 20 minutes and never so much as saw an employee...never received menus or waters before walking out. read more

We live in town and figured we would try this very nice looking little restaurant, and were glad we did. The food was very good and the only reason I did not give it a better rating was the hostess's very poor attitude. To start, the staff decided to have a verbal fight arguing over the customers tables making everyone uncomfortable. On several other occasions during our breakfast the hostess was rude and obnoxious to the point that we all looked at each other and said once is enough, we will stick to our regular in town breakfast spots. Feel bad for the owner and chef as they have a very nice little restaurant with good food, they need to train the staff better. read more

If I go to a restaurant and have a bad experience I like to give them another shot before considering leaving a poor review. Everyone has a bad day. I've been here twice and both times the service was deplorable. The ill-equipped waitresses need help or better training. The table next to us sat down with 2 little kids. After about 20 minutes of no service they got up and left. The waitress came over to their table as they are walking away and sarcastically snaps, "Thanks, you could have brought the kid's chair back in!" The food is average. Limited menu and nothing that stands out. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Either wait 30 minutes at Buttered Biscuit or get one of the best Mexican breakfasts you'll ever taste at the Bradley Cafe. read more

Such a great spot! We had a large party and it was a busy day, but everything was excellent. Our server, Rosa, gave great service and was so sweet. I had the Sunshine Sandwich and a piece of homemade banana bread and both were perfect. Day 2 of eating here and again an excellent meal. There were 9 of us and we all loved our meal...3 of us got the crab cake special and we all raved about the mango salsa on the crab cakes and citrus salad dressing...fabulous!!! 2 of us got the lobster mac n cheese...you could taste the freshness of the lobster and literally was the best I have ever had...sandwiches and breakfast rounded out the rest with delicious comments. We all split the moistest lemonchello pound cake and warmed banana nut bread which did not disappoint!!! Oh and the fresh lemonade was perfect not too sweet and absolutely refreshing. Even writing this review makes me sad. This had been our favorite breakfast/lunch spot. But today we had such a terrible experience. My mother doesn't eat meat. Doesn't seem like a very big deal. She ordered the grilled cheese and just asked for no bacon or bacon jam. The waitress who was very sweet seemed almost afraid to even make this accommodation. Shortly thereafter when she walked into the kitchen a middle-aged women came out and was rude to us. She told us pick something else off the menu and basically that was too bad that my mom doesn't eat meat. We have went to this restaurant 2-3 times a week for months. It was never an issue before. We always were kind and graciously waited when there was a wait. We were treated in a way we never deserved. It also showed absolute inflexibility. I want to make sure the waitresses and bus boy know we think they were lovely. It's sad that the rudeness of someone else has made it so we will never go back to this restaurant. They need a lesson in kindness and flexibility. read more

I was taking a bike ride along the Jersey Shore on a Saturday morning when I decided it was time for an iced coffee and a muffin. Though I've been to the area many times, I've never ventured more than a few blocks from the boardwalk. I went to Yelp and found this cute (really, really cute) little spot in what must have been the waiting room of the Bradley Beach train station. I was greeted right away by a very cheerful employee (or possibly the owner). As planned, I ordered an iced coffee and a big, ol' blueberry muffin. Both were delicious. The iced coffee was even made with frozen coffee-cubes! I sat at a table outside because I was a little too sweaty from the ride to risk offending other patrons. Even then the employee/owner came outside after a few minutes to check on me. What a great little place! read more
