I never jumped up so fast and got dressed and headed out the door before in my life. Okay, I did pause to call the store and make sure they were open and it was indeed a real place. And sure enough, they were open - so off I went. This store is in a small parking lot but easy to find. Sometimes they have their store van parked in the parking lot which makes it even easier to spot from the road. The store is only 3 aisles with a back room and 4 freezers full of authentic and delicious Filipino brands but you will not be disappointed. They carry all things Goldilock brands. They even had some Filipino items that I had never been able to find before. The owners are nice and friendly - always asking if I found everything I was looking for. The store is very clean and very well organized. They also offer deliveries and you can get more information on this on their Facebook page. It looks like they break up their delivery schedules by area. You can also call in your order and they will shop for you and you can just pick up for curbside delivery. They also do a pretty good job of updating their inventory on Facebook if you are looking for something specific. I love that I can now go to one store for all things Pinoy and get what I need.

The owner was really helpful (via text) and responded right away when I was searching the day before. The fridge in the back had so many filipino goodies that I rarely see, so I couldn't help myself to a few. Would definitely come back here! To the Owner's husband... thanks for saving that big slab of pork belly for me!

My pad Thai dish was pretty good, a little sweeter than I'd like but a good amount of food. It came with shrimp & chicken which is a plus. The wings were the star of the show. Double fried, saucy, crunchy on the outside, meaty on the inside. Very very good. The service was pretty good too. & the decor inside is really nice. I would definitely go back and try other dishes.

On the afternoon/evening of 8/4/25 my husband and I came in. We ordered rose bubble tea, and lavender bubble tea, both large, oat milk, double boba. The second we came in we saw the girl peak her head out and rolled her eyes. "What do you want." With no energy and heavy attitude. I was polite and said my order. And she seemed upset about something on her mind. We decided to tip her I think 15-18% to see if it would make her happy or brighten her day. She didn't say thank you and she just turned around and walked away. I was not expecting her to say thank you for the tip, but I was expecting her to say thank you or your order will be out soon as a customer service note. There was another guy behind the counter/curtain and he mentioned something which made her go. "Oh well it's too late now, and then she shrugged her shoulders. " and we heard that as we left the building. Got home and within about 20 minutes my husband and I threw up. I have no idea what happened to these drinks, as the curtains are closed behind the counter. I no longer trust this place to make me SAFE food.

The only vegetable were three slices of small eggplants. There's no tripe, sitaw (long beans) etc. I drove from Belmont all the way to Pineville to fill this craving and was very disappointed. As for the laing with the pork belly. The laing tasted good and pork belly was a perfect pair. I took this time to write a feedback in hopes that Manila Grill is reading the reviews. I hope they will look into their Kare Kare recipe and improve it, between the taste and incomplete ingredients, this is the reason for a two stars.

The ambiance is a basic super market with international items

Super G Mart on Independence is one of Charlotte's most fun grocery adventures…read more If you love exploring new ingredients, discovering international snacks, or simply wandering through aisles you've never seen before, this place is worth the trip. While the Pineville location remains my favorite thanks to its larger food hall and dining options, the Independence store still delivers an impressive experience. The selection is enormous. You'll find fresh produce from around the world, exotic fruits and vegetables, live seafood, blue crabs, an on-site fishmonger, and a full-service butcher counter. The international grocery selection is where this store really shines. Aisles are packed with staples from across Asia, Europe, Latin America, and beyond. Whether you're shopping for Thai curry paste, Vietnamese rice noodles, Japanese snacks, Korean sauces, Spanish ingredients, or Eastern European treats, chances are you'll find it here. One feature I especially enjoy is the freezer section. The cases are organized by country and cuisine, making it easy to browse and discover new foods. It's a small detail, but it turns grocery shopping into a bit of an adventure. On this visit, I came specifically for Korean black bean paste, dark soy sauce, and fresh green beans. Naturally, I left with a few extras. The candy aisle is dangerous in the best possible way. Their coconut candies are always tempting, and I can never resist grabbing a bag of Thai coffee candies while I'm there. The store has a large private parking lot and a loyalty program that offers additional discounts at checkout. If you're a frequent shopper, it's worth signing up. Is it as polished as some specialty markets? No. Is it one of the most interesting grocery stores in Charlotte? Absolutely. Give yourself time when you visit. This isn't the kind of place where you run in for one item and leave five minutes later. It's a place to wander, explore, and discover something new around every corner. Life is too short not to eat well, Charlotte. Grab a cart, take your time, and eat your way through Super G Mart.

If you're looking for a Harris teeter or Publix vibe, then stick to that. And if you don't know what you're looking for or just here to browse, then keep it moving. Maybe buy it on Amazon or make an Asian friend that's either first or second generation. The parking lot is very bad. The conditions of the shopping carts are very bad. This I cannot disagree with other reviewers with. I have to dock a star for that. But for the availability of grocery items, this is my go-to. I can't think of another market where I can find a 10lb can of sliced water chestnuts or something most roundeyes don't have a clue of. I'm here 1-2 times per week. If you see me, feel free to ask me questions. Or maybe take trip to an Asian city for a bit of culture so that you can truly appreciate what this store has to offer. There's more to life...

It would have been nice to have full table service where your order is taken and the food is brought to you, but that was really the only inconvenience.
