Absolutely the best Italian subs I have tried in A LONG TIME. Let's start by saying that I was born…read moreand lived most of my early youth in Philadelphia, but I was now living in Maryland. I go to Philly sometimes for sport events (Eagles and Phillies) and I always buy cheesesteaks and hoagies at different places to get a taste of who is the best among the many. This time I decided to find places in the Wilmington and New Castle area--after reading many reviews, Gaudiello's Italian Hoagies was the one spot that caught my attention so my wife and I went for it. When you walk in, the place was very clean, and the person at cash register taking the orders was extremely nice and went out of his way to accommodate our orders. I asked for (to take) four different cheesesteaks and one hoagie; all the subs were properly labeled with the ingredients we ordered on each separate order. When I tried my cheesesteak and my hoagie at home, I was blown away by the amazing taste and quality of the meat (cheesesteak was made with ribeye meat and the hoagie with prime Italian ham), and the bread was SUPERB! For next occasions going up north, I'm ONLY stoping at Gaudiello's.

Well today I visited after some time and decided to order a meal that came to about $21. Bad move i guess. The young man working the counter was very perturbed and bothered to the point we waited in the car until the meal was ready AFTER having to clarify again what we did and did not want (which again made him more irritable..not sure what his issue was but I have an inkling). Came back in to retrieve the meal and he still had a clear attitude..slammed the meals on the counter with a "here you go" , mugged me and I left. In conclusion (because we aren't stupid), before I took legal action, we accessed the cameras which revealed he indeed stole the money and placed into his own pocket! Truly shameful!
