While driving home from a bachelor party in the Keys, my friends and I were in need of caffeine. We happened upon this local coffee shop, and we were glad we chose it over national chains such as Starbucks and Dunkin'. The place itself doesn't seem like much from the outside, but you can usually tell the good ones from steady traffic during non-peak hours. Baby's was no different. They've got a large parking lot with plenty of space to serve the morning rush. We walked in and were greeted with the aroma of many blends of coffee that reminded me of my childhood walking through the coffee aisle at the grocery store with the grinders. For the food and drinks themselves, everything is standard fare at a good price (~$5) per item. I settled on a caramel latte along with a turkey sausage, egg, and cheese bagel. Both choices were amazingly delicious, but the coffee in particular stood out with its signature flavor. I was so impressed that I purchased a bag of their Baby's Havana Roast to bring home, and their staff happily ground it for me. I'd definitely give this place a shot if I have the opportunity to visit the area again. read more

This is a really nice coffee shop with a great selection of beverages .The service is always fast and pleasant . It's nice bc they also sell a little bit of everything else. This place is awesome! The coffee is top notch- NOT your run of the mill stuff. Plus the prices are actually really reasonable, which is a HUGE PLUS in my opinion! My kids had the smoothies- so good! I had the cafe con leche. Delicious! We met the owner and he mentioned some cool future plans that have us excited! The ambiance is relaxed but clean. This is the greatest coffee shop in the Keys. All of the help are so friendly and willing to assist you. The shop is also extreamly supportative of our military and first responders. If they show up in uniform, the coffee is free. The owners are often there and always willing to show you how they roast the beans and package them. This is a must visit. read more

There is something special about Baby's. People seem to love it. I stopped by once in a while out of convenience when I am heading North. I fell in love with the pizza bagel, but now I get the cheese & bacon bagel. They have a really cool selection of International cookies and snacks. It is also a place to get wine, beers, and the iconic Kermit's Key Lime Pie. They don't have the hipster-ish service, but it is very to the point. There is one line to order and another one to pick up the order. They have some cute merchandise including shorts, tank tops, hats, etc. I see their travel mug everywhere in Key West. They have a few picnic tables outside and a nice size parking lot, which is rare in the Keys. 4 stars. read more

Over the past decade the keys have been put through the ringer with hurricanes and storm surges but Baby's Coffee has stayed steady. The look has changed over the years with the outside being cleaned up and the inside changes everyone few years but at the end of the day, the coffee is very consistent and the staff has always been excellent. Still have their specialty grocery items, their tee-shirts and the shared book exchange... I highly recommend any of my coffee-loving yelpers to stop into Baby's on their way into Key West (located right around Mile Marker 15). read more

Something like a three or a four for this hipsterish coffee shop vegan-iffy-ish store full of fun take-away delicacies and interesting local nibbles. Think Kermit's and others. I'm not a coffee snob so I don't pretend to know better about coffee but I really like the breakfast bagels here, particularly the pizza one when they have it and browsing all the interesting wares. Oddly I'm not really a coffee drinker but love tea. So I've always just cruised right on by. I heard recently that they have sandwiches and bagels, so I figured, why not. I had the Cuban bagel and croissant sandwich and a muffin. The bagel was open face but still good like a Cuban sandwich. The croissant was large and hot and cheesy. I loved the coffee names and it wasn't as pretentious as Starbucks. I'm looking forward to going back to check out the food truck for lunch! I won't just pass by anymore!. I made a day trip down to Key West yesterday and on the way back up I was planning on stopping at Baby's Coffee. Unfortunately, I got there about 4:50pm and they were closed. When I pulled in a lovely lady saw me and let me know they were closed and they had put everything away because they were in the process of doing their closing cleaning, but if I was looking for ground coffee to go, she could help. She let me in, and I bought a few bags of coffee; she happily ground them up for me and I was on my way again. What great service along with a great a great product; she did not have to open up for me ~20 minutes after they were already closed! I will be back again. read more

I loved this roadside coffee stop! Now it's not glamorous but it has everything you might want, lattes, black brewed coffee, teas... and the staff is so friendly we were greeted as soon as we walked in the door! The barista was super helpful and made our orders to suit what we were wanting! They are also big supporters of the military and local law enforcement which we love! Was meant to be a quick coffee stop but the wait for our coffee was around 30 minutes from the time we got there until the time we had our coffees in hand.
