This Valentine's I wanted to look for a unique shop that can differentiate themselves from the many florists in the area. Babylon is a small business that offers what they call Designer's Choice; you give them a budget and they will create on what selections they have that day. It's fun and a surprise at the same time. One thing to note is that you probably will get less flowers compared to other businesses at the same price but it's the creativity that really shines. The arrangement I got for my girlfriend was big but also unique. Customer service was great and they were quick to respond to my emails. Pick up was seamless and the location was very central being right outside of downtown Denver. I would give them a solid 4.5/5. If they're able to offer more flowers for the cost then I can highly recommend and say they're one of the best florists in Denver. Thanks for making my girlfriend happy! read more

This morning while shopping at Sprouts, I saw some really good prices for some really lovely arrangements; most of them less than $20. Before purchasing the flowers at Sprouts, I remembered this floral shop in my neighborhood and decided to spend my money locally and support the shop. I stopped in this afternoon and told the friendly woman at the counter that I wanted some tulips as the main feature, and that I was happy to spend $35. I returned 10 minutes later and was surprised at how small this arrangement was for $39. I understand that shops like this don't have the purchasing power of a place like Sprouts, but this isn't competitive at all. Almost three times the price for half the amount of flowers. I will be purchasing flowers at Sprouts for the time being. I really do wish this business future success. Today I went in and asked the guy at the counter what plants were "friendship" plants or those with similar meaning - to which he said any plant I get a friend is a friendship plant, and that he doesn't "keep up with that stuff." Soooo, if you want a meaningful plant gift, maybe don't go here unless you know exactly what you want...? I spent $50 for a potted plant I know I could have gotten elsewhere for $30, but I wanted to support a small biz in my neighborhood. I arranged to have Babylon do the floral arrangements for a rehearsal dinner and received an estimate two months before the event and told them I'd like them to do it. One month before the event, Arthur, the owner, sent me an email and told me he cancelled me because I had not yet sent any funds. I had planned to pay them in full. The estimate gave no instructions for a deadline for a deposit or payment. They did not contact me before cancelling and a call to Arthur to plead with him to reconsider went nowhere. I would have paid in full on the spot. This left me scrambling with very little time before the wedding! I thought Arthur was a nice guy, but he is not a decent business person. I would NOT recommend doing business with him. read more

One star seems high though the recipient thinks the arrangement is beautiful. Why the low rating? I paid $120 to have a truly unique arrangement. What was delivered is so basic I'm ashamed. I knew the reviews were too good to be true on this one. I should have stuck with ProFlowers. They're always reliable and a quick search just now shows me amazing arrangements, some very modern, for over $40 less. I had read such amazing reviews about Babylon Floral that I decided to use them instead of one of the online retailers. My sister's birthday is a very special occasion so I wanted to really knock her socks off. I placed an order online a couple weeks before her b-day which was on the 10th of February. (yes, I know, close to Valentine's Day) and received a call from one of their employees within 24 hours. I explained my situation. Sister's b-day and really wanted to impress. She asked me about favorite colors and flowers and I provided answers. My credit card was charge the next day and then I waited for the phone call from my sister (she usually calls me when I send her flowers). I waited until the day after her b-day and then called her to ask if she had received anything. Nope. :( I emailed Babylon Floral and Arthur quickly responded with a phone call apologizing profusely for the mix-up. Her order had been lost in the Valentines Day orders. He put an incredible arrangement together and she had it on Sunday. It was pretty freaking stunning and her exact words were "it was worth the wait!" That makes me happy. The flowers are super unique and Arthur really cares about making his customers happy. I emailed him to let him know I was happy and asked to stop by when I was in Denver later that month. Unfortunately, due to a sickness I was unable to stop by his shop. Maybe next time I'm in town. Do not take this lightly: Babylon Floral is AWESOME.
