I have used Ruffly Rose several times in the past, however, my recent experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. My dad wanted to get me nice flowers for Valentine's Day so he decided to order and pick-up an arrangement. He arrived and surprised me, but he said how sorry he was because some flowers were already dead. And he wasn't lying. 25% of the flowers were already dead and floppy, the rest died over the next two days. It is now the Monday after Valentine's Day (48 hours) and they are all dead. My dad is very careful what he spends his money on and I know the arrangement prices at the Ruffly Rose. It's such a shame they decided on poor product and high prices; taking advantage of people who wouldn't know any different. I tried to call several times over the weekend to try to see if they could do something, but to no avail. read more

I ordered flowers online for my dentist who just moved and bought a practice also it was her birthday. I live in San Francisco, CA so I didn't know who delivered and I looked at the pictures on yelp. I went to the website and the online order form was easy to fill out. I ordered the mod which is described as a perfect size for a coffee table or small table/ counter. I'm impressed the arrangement was absolutely beautiful when I saw the picture of the colors and height of the flowers. I selected the seasonal and florist choice because I wanted simple and elegant in a way not over the top. The price included a vase, which was great! They charge for delivery which depends on the distance of where they are to the recipient. Megan confirmed my order with an email thanking me for my order and appreciated my business. Peter was the one who let me know that the office was closed due to a dental convention left me a voicemail and followed up with a text. I reached out to the person and gave her the information of the shop to arrange another delivery. The arrangement arrived 7 days after the initial delivery date the flowers looked amazing still! I wanted to bless our daughter for her 30th birthday and decided to splurge by ordering a very expensive bouquet from this place ($125 for the arrangement and total with tax and shipping $149.36!!!)). I've never spent this much on a bouquet & I normally always go with Banister Flowers in Englewood, but decided to try someone new this time. This was a big mistake. Not only did Ruffly Rose not listen to my request to leave the flowers in the rental office (after 3 emails requesting this), but then the flowers they delivered wilted the next day (see pictures). When I emailed them asking for help, they implied that it was my fault the flowers wilted within 24 hours. Multiple roses + the hydrangea wilted despite my daughter diligently watering them like instructed. They wouldn't reimburse me but only offered to give me a 25% coupon for my next order. This is so sad for me because not only did my daughter not get to enjoy flowers for her birthday, but I wasted $125 which is a lot of money. It's shocking to experience a small business give such poor customer service. Good customer service is so rare these days, and Ruffly Rose unfortunately is no exception. I will never use this business again and we'll go back to my Banister Flowers who have always treated me so well. read more

For anyone looking for a floral design position here: Go into it knowing there's an extreme lack of communication in terms of what the company truly needs (full time or part time) and what they expect from the employees. As a newly self taught floral designer I took an advertised part time position to gain some extra experience and knowledge. The position was originally posted as a part time position and I worked for two weekends but was later notified that they found someone for a more full time position and I was let go. I notified the hiring person that I was not available to work the weekend before the busiest weekend of the year as discussed but was never notified I had to get trained that weekend so I returned not knowing my roles for that day and was asked to go home flustered and seeming like I was a burden due to the lack of communication. There was also a lack of communication with the rest of the employees on where I stood with my experience. Not knowing I was a relatively new designer, I was asked to quickly make a larger arrangement from a coworker and they were notified I was a "little slow" in front of me. If there was better communication I wouldn't have been thrown under the bus and the operations of that day would have gone smoother knowing where everyone stood while still being able to have freedom within the company to learn and grow as I was originally told before being hired. I appreciate that freedom but there also needs to be uniform communication within any business. This is just a review to let any future employee and hopefully the company know of the need of better team communication. I hope the business can continue to learn and grow as much or more than I learned during my time there. read more

The product was beautiful - a unique flower arrangement for my anniversary. I try to support small business whenever possible so opted to try this place out. I ordered online via their website form on a Sunday (they are closed Sunday/Monday) and noted it was for our Anniversary on Tuesday. Tuesday comes and by 4:30 pm no flowers. We had dinner reservations at 6 so I became concerned and called to see where the flowers were. I was told that Tuesdays were their busy days and that they should be there within the hour. No apology. When you pay $60 for an arrangement and $15 delivery fee I expect better service. My partner's flowers were delivered to our porch while we were away at 5:30 pm in a plastic bag to protect them from the freezing temps. Not how I pictured them coming for our anniversary. As beautiful as the product is, the service leaves a lot to be desired. read more

I understand that a vase was not ordered, but "bare stem" does not mean dry and unprotected. The flowers are dried, ugly, and ruined. The owner said only, "that's how they were ordered." My boyfriend is a firm believer in gifting flowers "just because" and since we moved to Denver in March, he's really leveled up his game, surprising me with these enchanting bouquets wrapped in thick pink tissue paper. He finally showed me where he was picking up these fairy tale concoctions and led me to the Ruffly Rose. The owner greeted us warmly and remembered my boyfriend and seemed delighted to meet the recipient of her flowers. She walked around to point out and label various flowers, many of which were ones that I'd never seen before. Once we gave her a price range (under $20), she helped to pull together a bouquet based on my favorite colors, guiding us every once in a while with suggestions but letting my boyfriend do the brunt of the gathering. This place does a brisk business in weddings and other events, so could have easily dismissed us for our small purchase, but she treated us as if we were her most valued customers, and that made the experience even sweeter. The shop is a veritable Mary Poppins bag of flowers and other gifts; every time I turned around, I saw something new that made me squeal a little bit. There is stationary, decorations, baby clothes, and everything arranged attractively. This adorable little flower shop just opened it's doors. It is located on one of my favorite blocks in Denver on South Pearl St. It fits right in with all the other boutiques and eateries. I first noticed it before it opened and was excited to see the inside. It's hard to miss as it's an old Victorian house painted with bright pink and green colors and it draws your eyes right to it. It's so cute and the inside is just as cute. I love the white hardwood floors, and the bright colors continue throughout. It is very charming. There is a small variety of beautiful flowers to choose from and other little goodies to purchase in addition to some already to go arrangements. The prices seemed just right. I sent my mom flowers from here for Mother's Day. Many of them were wilted when she got the bouquet. My mom showed me the bouquet after she had already picked the bad flowers out, but that bouquet was also less than beautiful. It's kind of hard to make flowers look unappealing. My mom, unbeknownst to me, emailed them and let them know the arrangement was lacking. I get a call from them weeks later confirming the address and name of my mom as they were going to redeliver to her. The arrangement they sent her today is fine, it's fresh, but it is ugly. It looks like a grocery store bouquet. Garish colors. Why would they make this bouquet that is so far from their signature style they have on Instagram? Additionally, my mom said they were very curt in their email exchange. She actually convinced me to not buy a fairly expensive shamrock from her, and try her method first to save my own plant - and it worked. I appreciated that. That kind of care is why I decided to hire Emily and her team as our florists for our wedding. The flowers were perfect. My bouquet took my breath away. I wish I could post a pic for you to see. She took all of my suggestions - and then created pieces of art. She just has such a good creative eye. I totally trusted her judgement and knowledge, and am thankful I did. I was in Denver over the weekend visiting a friend and stumbled upon The Ruffly Rose while walking around Pearl St. From the outside it kind of looked like a kitschy grandma shop. (I don't mean that offensively...I LOVE kitschy grandma shops!!) But inside was a floral paradise, full of fresh flowers, natural light, amazing aromas, candles, scarves, stationary, etc. I bought two candles, both from companies that hand pour them in Denver, and a wool shawl. (See??? I'm a 25 year old grandma!) I also purchased a large aloe plant in a cute Aztec planter as a thank you token to my friend who housed me over the weekend. The women working in the shop were so helpful and friendly, offering to hold our purchases at the store for us until we were done shopping and dining on Pearl St. I can't wait to pop in during my next trip to Denver! read more

Wonderful place! Great staff, gorgeous bouquet - and when I had to make a super last minute change to delivery, it was easy as pie and there were no issues getting the money I'd already spent on delivery refunded. Price point seems a slight bit higher than some other places I've used, but getting a real glass vase included was awesome and completely unexpected, and the quality and diversity of the arrangement was just fantastic. One of the things I thought was super well done, in comparison with other places I've used, was the non-flower inclusions. The greenery that's just supposed to add some fill and some green prettiness in between flowers - it was super well done. Not sure why it was so noticeable, but it was contextually really great and added to the beauty a lot more than in bouquets I've purchased from other places. Loved the flowers, loved the staff, and I'm going to be using TRR from now on as my "hmmmm....I should buy some flowers!" stop. read more
