We chose a savory breakfast sandwich, an Almond Croissant and another sweet pastry. In line, the offered to heat our sandwich which we allowed. Then we ordered coffees, paid and sat down. A few minutes later, we walked back up to collect our coffees. The breakfast sandwich was tasty, though the ham and cheese in the center of the sandwich was untouched by the heating process. Next time, we'll ask for a longer heating cycle. The pastries were good. Not as good as made that morning in Paris, but better than most places we've been in the US. We also took some dessert pastries home for later that same night. My wife's was sort of ho-hum but mine was fabulous. I had what I guess would be a cro-nut?? Sort of like a doughnut that was made in layers of pastry, then cut out with a donut cutter. It had a filling in the center and had a sugary coating. SO GOOD! I ordered a piece of German Chocolate cake and a piece of Italian Cream cake. The baker had just pulled some Chocolate Chip cookies from the oven, so I added one of those too. The German Chocolate cake was very moist. To my taste, it wasn't very flavorful. The Italian Cream cake wasn't as moist and the frosting was a bit sweet for my taste. I have not yet eaten the Chocolate Chip cooking but it looks great. While I wish I liked the cakes more, I may try other things here.
