Highly variable and overall negative experience. Babe's head guy, Chip, is very good and generally responsive by phone and email. He was helpful and timely with designing a planting bed for us. The scheduling took longer than planned, but it was acceptable. Recently, a crew came with a spray truck to do the mulching of larger beds. After the spraying was done, one guy worked a leaf blower to tidy the mulch that sprayed onto the lawn while the other guy sat in the truck on his phone. They abruptly announced that they were leaving because the truck guy was late getting to the Cape to go fishing. When I got a chance to inspect the work they did the next day, I found that at least 15 young perennial and annual plants had been completely covered with mulch, killing most of them and severely damaging the surviving few. Then, I was working with an electrician to do some outdoor wiring that required a trench for conduit and asked for someone to come look and provide me a quote and timeline. I was promised that someone would come by the next day and I am still waiting. That was at least 3 weeks ago. My electrician has moved on to other jobs and I will have to not only dig the trench myself by hand at this point, but I am at the end of the line for the electrical job scheduling. I will not work with them again and recommend others to stay away. read more

I live at Rosemeade in Southbridge and Babe's does the lawncare here and I thought that they couldn't be as bad as they were last season but they are and I'm only seeing the lawn on the side closest to Worcester Street! They fly through here missing strips of grass, skip the fence trimming altogether. A month ago there was a guy doing some work around a building and he had the gross habit of spitting every few minutes. Are you kidding with COVID-19 do you think we want to walk through the grass with your saliva all over it?I think it's time to devote all of your efforts to the wine business and leave the lawn care to more professional companies. read more

UNRELIABLE! Hired Babe's to do lawn and snow removal. First snow storm, did not show up. I called and they said there was a communication issue, they apologized and reassured me they will come in the future. The second snow storm they came. The third large snow storm that ended at 8 pm, they did not show up. Thankfully, my neighbor came and helped us with his snow blower. read more

We had used babes lawn care for almost 7 years. Last year when they let the lawn get knee high they said they couldn't mow my lawn anymore. That they couldn't make any money off of it. I understand the need to make money and came to an agreement by increasing the price by $45 per mowing. I actually fostered the agreement because it was high growth spring and we really had no other options. When snow removal time came around they notified us one week before the first big snowstorm that they would not be able to move snow that they were concentrating on their commercial contracts. This left us scrambling. My church also had issues with them moving snow and they actually hung up on our grounds person. The guys that came out and mowed the lawn always did a great job. it's the management that provides poor customer service and poor communication. I also made them aware of our concerns and guess what, no response. Which seems to be a theme. read more

Last year they weed whacked my solar lights contacted them they didn't really care looked out today and there they were I saw it with my own eyes one of the guys we whacked my brand new solar lights again. Contacted them with no response. You can tell they don't care for the little people anymore. Such a shame read more

I have had Babe's mow my grass and do spring/fall clean ups as well for a few years. We are very happy with them. The guys are polite when I see them. read more

I hired them for lawn maintenance. They showed up without advance notice, before 8am, while the grass was soaking wet. They cut the grass, long, uneven, missed areas, and zipped around on the mowers so fast they tore the lawn up. The areas they cut with the string trimmer were about 1.5 inches shorter than the areas mowed. My lawn looked horrible. I received poor feedback from the company owner and cancelled services. We had Babe's come out and clear a trail in the woods for us. They came out in advance to check the job, were right on time to do the work and in touch with us every step of the way. When they were done we couldn't believe how good it looked. Great to work with and excellent quality. Would highly recommend. read more

Can you swear in an online review? If I could spit in the owners face I would for hiring such disrespectful workers. I have a 5 month old here at home, she was fast asleep this morning at 9am when a leaf blower is started outside our window Not even 4 ft away from where my daughter was fast asleep. I went outside to have a conversation with the man who seemed to forget where he was and I come to realize, ITS THE SAME DISRESPECTFUL GUY I TOLD 2 WEEKS EARLIER NOT TO START A LEAF BLOWER OUTSIDE MY DAUGHTERS BEDROOM. Do you people have any consideration for where you work? The places at hire you to work? I will be having a very personal talk with the property manager here at Rose Made about their failed lawn care system. Be a shame for this business to loose a large customer because of disrespectful workers. read more

UNRELIABLE!!!! I can't tell you how many times they said they would be here on a certain date &/or time & never showed up or arrived hours later. I can understand that things happen, but at least CALL. One of their employees told me that they have a big client & whenever they need something, the smaller jobs get cancelled. Absolutely the worst! Plow truck had summer tires and got stuck. Big fiasco and mess getting unstuck. Get someone professional with the right equipment and employees that know what they're doing! read more
