Awful company. Very lazy employees that love to cut corners. They ruined my flowerbeds too. Never hiring them again.

If i could, i would leave zero stars! Do NOT use these LAZY people for any landscaping jobs! The guy who rides the lawmowers carelessly (STANDING UP) flies so fast back and forth, one day he broke my beloved prized bushes. Oh boy was i mad! They denied doing it! Like who else tresspassed onto my property to do this? Ughhhh. My aunt had used them before and they left all the leaves in front of her house AFTER SHE TOLD THEM THAT THEY NEEDED TO PICK THEM UP OFF THE STREET. They even replied "yup we'll do that too". They were supposed to do a fall clean up, picking up everything and did hardly anything but MOWED OVER EVERYTHING with their standing lawnmower. And blower. It wasn't worth that much $$! How can they call themselves "Landscaping Architects"?? I will NEVER use these guys again after these incidents. Even my neighbors have complained to me about them as well! They ruined my neighbors mail box. I had to pay for it too! I called Sunshine and they DENIED IT! Boy was I mad! DO NOT USE THESE GUYS IF YOU HAVE A NICE HOUSE WITH VALUABLE THINGS IN YOUR YARDS. That's all i need to say. Steer clear! Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but someone needs to warn people! I have been with another company since using Sunshine (only a handful of times too many!) and i am sooo much happier with who i switched over to. At least these guys don't do a RUSH JOB! We moved to Auburn almost 2 months ago and knew we needed a lawn service immediately. We tried Thumbtack first and no one responded. I went on Yelp and found Sunshine Landscaping Co. and saw that it wasn't far away. I made the call and spoke with Michelle. She was here in less than an hour. We hired them on the spot. So, since then, we've been more than happy with their service. The guys do a great job. Michelle, Debbie and the office employees are all friendly and accommodating. We used Sunshine for a Fall/Spring clean up of leaves. The owner came out for an estimate -- Mr Bethany haggled -- and a price was agreed upon. The team that showed up was courteous, efficient, and quiet. They did forget to take care of a portion of our yard -- but after a friendly email ( with pictures attached) they returned to finish the job 3 weeks later ( it was rainy -- that's what I'm chalking it up to). I'd recommend this company -- but do check the yard before they go -- could save you some hassle later :) read more

We used Sunshine Landscaping for about a year just for mowing. This year, at the beginning of Spring we asked for the Spring cleanup, as well as putting in some mulch and moving some bushes. We paid nearly $1,000 for that, and it was very underwhelming. There were large rocks in the mulch, and we had to go back and clean up after their "clean up" (getting rid of piles of leaves that were harder to reach near our bulkhead). It seems like there is a new mowing crew this year; they don't weed wack, and they leave the grass clippings all over the lawn. Needless to say, we stopped services and would definitely not recommend the company to others. read more

I started working with Sunshine Landscaping a few years first with fall and spring clean ups. They always did a great job so had them do mulch as well which also looked great. Now in addition to those services they provide seasonal fertilizing and weed control and they have done several planting projects as well. I've been using Steve and Sunshine for 2 years now. Steve is extremly good at lawn care; he knows his stuff. I signed up for his 5 step/year program. My lawn looks mint and I do not have to worry about a thing. I had two incidence (lawn fungus and black leaves on my lilac), where I called Steve. He came up withn a couple days, assessed the problem and took appropriate action, which was....do nothing. He told me that both problems will work themselves out....and they did. He didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need. Go with Sunshine if you want things done right. read more

Called and asked the owner about a hemlock fungus that he assessed a year ago. A year ago,we discussed fertilizing the lawn and he recommended a product, Merit, for the hemlock situation. After sending me a contract for a 4 step fertilizing program, I decided to give it a shot on my own this year. Applied the merit product and re-applied early spring and again in June to the hemlocks. I called recently and asked his advice about this fungus on the hemlock and told him it had gotten worse. Stated that the winter was colder that normal and it should not be worse.He seemed put out with the phone call inquiring about the injections he recommended last year but the conversation revealed that he was put out because I did not have him do the fertilization of the lawn. He actually said " you did not have us do the fertilizing and why don't you have the boy across the street do it". He stated that "the boy" wasn't the one who told us about this fungus when in fact he was the one who recommended that we get someone who had the license to do the injections. That was one of the reason for calling Sunshine.I ended the conversation and if this is how he handles the customer he apparently does not need business. I will call Rutland Nurseries, where "the boy" worked for years, before allowing Steve to do any landscaping maintenance to the lawn or shrubs. One can hold many certificates but when one does not have a good customer service personality, one loses and word spreads quickly. read more

We have had this company contracted for landscaping and snow removal through our landlords for two years. We have had no problems in the summer time but consistently awful experiences with snow removal. This company does not show up for up to 48 hours after a storm has ended. It is impossible to get them on the phone, there is only an office number with no one ever answering the phone, and voicemails are never returned. We often end up shoveling the snow ourselves, maybe that is their goal? Such a frustrating experience for us. Would not recommend this company. read more

I had a stone/concrete wall installed to address a drainage problem. It not only fixed the problem but added beauty and value to my property!
