So...I will try to make this short and to the point. This is by far the worst dealership/parts department I have had the displeasure of dealing with. We came to Flagstaff for a family vacation, it was centrally located for what we were doing. While here, I came to realize that I had a minor leak in my coolant system that required a replacement o-ring. After spending the day skiing, we came back to town and I tried to pick up the part. All of the parts store did not have what I needed and would have to wait for it to come in the following day, and I would have to buy a three pack which was significantly more expensive. So, I then called the dealership at approximately 5:50 p.m. I was told that they had the part, but it was $9.00 plus tax, almost twice the cost of any other dealership in the country, but still less expensive then the parts store. I told the parts guy I was on my way there and that I really needed this part. His response, we close at 6, basically, too bad if you don't make it before then. Okay fine, I'll attempt anyway. I left, thinking this guy might just wait a minute or two knowing I was on the way. Well I got to the dealership at 5:59, according to my phone, and they had already locked up and were walking away. So not only did they not wait, at all, but they closed early. I mean the time literally changed to 6:00 while I was talking to the employees as the locked up the store. Out of town, needed an o-ring that only they had, to get back to Texas and they couldn't even give me at least the 15 seconds before actually locking the doors, what a joke!!! They have this town on lockdown and they know it, just read some of the other reviews. Even in south Texas where I am from, they show a hell of a lot more respect and hospitality to all of the locals and even more so to visitors. I mean the sale would have probably taken all of 30 seconds to complete, if that long. I get that people want to get home to their loved ones, but a little hospitality goes a long way. 30 seconds of your time, can mean saving someone else an entire day, obviously these people here could not care less anyone else, but Ford should. This minor experience is making me rethink the make of the truck that I will be buying next and I love my Ford more than my Chevy before it, but maybe I'll give Chevy another chance.
UPDATE: Okay so I spoke with the parts manager, Victor, which was a waste of time. Victor implied, on several occasions during our conversation, that I was l lying about the time that I had stopped at the store. Victor further stated that it wasn't his fault and that I should plan better.....plan better??!!! How exactly do you plan for your part to fail? Anyway, after arguing with Victor for several minutes, I told him I wanted to talk to the GM to which he obliged. I then received an audience by both the GM and the service manager. Both of these gentlemen agreed with me and further stated that there is no reason that I should not have been able to get the part, even if the part department was getting ready to close, the dealership would have still gotten me the part. The parts department told me that would not be able to do that because the cashier and the part department would be closed. The GM furthered offered to pay for my part, I declined as this was not the issue, but it was the proper gesture and I appreciate that. In the end, the GM and the service manager both seem like good people and tried to rectify the situation as best as they could, but, as we all know, time cannot be replaced. So, I will change the rating from 1 star to 2 due to the next day interaction with the GM and service manager. However, I cannot go any higher as a result of the previous day and the interaction that I had with the parts manager, VICTOR...I recommend no one interact with this incompetent fool, he probably can't even run his own household, let alone an entire department within a major dealership. VICTOR should not be in charge of taking out dealership trash, he does not appear to be competent enough to handle even that menial job!!!!!
So much for short and to the point, sorry, but I hope this helps others, especially the dealership. read more
