Convenient location by 73/130/Church Rd. Don't let the strip mall storefront fool you. It's beautiful inside. I got takeout this time but plan to go back to dine in. The mantoo is clearly homemade and delicious. The rice and chicken are perfectly spiced and so flavorful, and I found the portions to be generous. I've found a new favorite halal spot and can't wait to go back.

Lamb and chicken tikka and beef kofta (#19)

Excellent food. Friendly, kind owner. Great prices. This place should be more well known. I think the only reason its not is because the stores around it are closed at night. Go there, you wont regret it. An appetizer, two entrees (with salad), and bottled water was only around $40-$50 bucks. The only downside is they dont have tap water and you get charged 4% if not paying in cash- so dont forget to bring cash. Pics are #4 fallafa, #18 (lamb and chicken tikka), and #19 (lamb and chicken tikka and beef kofta). The lamb is extra extra good.

Our 3rd time ordering delivery, so I am all the more confident in stating that this is the BEST chicken shawarma, chicken kofta, and lamb shawarma I've tried in our area, and the chicken kebab is up there as well! The food is CONSISTENTLY excellent. As you can tell from the photos, the seasoning is PERFECTION. Highly recommend adding the grilled tomato and grilled pepper (spicy and I love it!). Also very highly recommend adding the Qabeli option (cooked carrots and raisins mixed into the rice). Food is always hot and fresh upon delivery. When you crave something multiple times a week, that says something! Finally, a side note: I have gout and am very sensitive to additives like MSG, etc., and this food does NOT trigger my gout/give me flareups. I've learned that for me, this speaks to the quality of the food I am eating. Absolutely love Baba Grill! Thank you, and keep up the great work!

Best Halal Food place. Great atmosphere and the best service. Clean and calm place . Nice place to visit with family

I wanted an authentic Afghani meal.

I enjoyed the family atmosphere and the service. The hostess was kind and patient enough to clarify certain items that were unfamiliar to me. The food was AMAZING!! I enjoyed every bite. The lamb was seasoned and grilled perfectly. The rice did not disappoint me, it was equally filled with flavor. I intend to return and try out other dishes.

All of the 5 star reviews are authentic. I can personally attest to that statement which I make unequivocally, unreservedly and without fear of contraction. And believe me, I'm not one to make any rash or extemporaneous statements! The food here is extraordinary. The preparation and presentation is meticulously performed. The taste exquisite, the flavor exudes the Halal tradition. And to be honest, this is the first time I ordered from BaBa Grill. We ordered falafel, chicken and lamb tikka, bolano, beef kofta. All excellent! Good sized portions. I was hoping for leftovers for tomorrow but, alas, it's gone! Thank you BaBa!

Portion size way too small for the price. Kebabs are also 1/2 the size of normal Afghani kebabs.

The price of the dishes does match the portion nor the quality. Unfortunately we will not be dining here again.

Great food! Well flavored. Restaurant opens late. It's kind of odd that they charge a $1.01 convenience fee for using your card

A friend and I found Setaara by accident while looking for a late dinner after a work event. We saw…read morea sign describing the food as "Afghan-French fusion with a Persian accent" and figured we'd give it a shot. It was the best decision of the night. The whole vibe was great and the meals were absolutely incredible. Since neither of us had been there before, Patty made some phenomenal suggestions, and somehow anticipated everything we needed before we even asked. She was a gem, and so patient and knowledgeable about everything in the menu. (Appetizer) Bolani: You have to get this. It's this crispy, golden fried dough filled with seasoned potatoes and herbs. It comes with a jalapeño chutney that is SO flavorful. Honestly, the menu description doesn't even do it justice, it's delicious. (Entree) Kabul Alfredo: I went with this for my main. It's basically the best of both worlds, its a linguine with garlic, creamy Alfredo, amd shaved parm, but topped with Afghan chicken kabob. The chicken was so tender and perfectly seasoned. I am SO glad we found Setaara, we'd originally tried to grab a quick burger at a hotel restaurant after a work event, but we were completely ignored there, so we just walked out and walked down the street looking for something open. The whole vibe was great, and our meals were absolutely incredible. I'll definitely be back!!!

We went for their brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Disclaimer they do not serve any main course items for lunch hours too. The ambiance was beautiful and picturesque. The staff was super sweet. We ordered bolani which was ok ish but the chutney was delicious, chole puri - chole were delicious and puri was crispy but yum, the third thing we ordered was an omelette that tasted yum too. They even served fresh juice. We had pomegranate and orange juice. The ambiance was so good and birds were chirping and it felt like we were sitting in a courtyard of someone's home.

First of all, it's a family run business and they take pride in their food, restaurant and hospitality. My husband went to school at Drexel and has been coming to this restaurant (here and a different location) for a long time. The place is beautifully decorated and made you feel like you were eating in a restaurant in Afghanistan. Everyone is so warm and friendly. They're great representatives for their country, culture and food. We started with hummus which was creamy goodness and an amazing salad with the best dressing. My husband absolutely loved his Qurma Chalaw. The chicken, sauce and buttery rice were so flavorful! Absolutely loved my dumplings in a tasty red sauce. They were delectable and I'm still dreaming about them. Our friends loved their Sansom Kabob and said it was moist and flavorful. Next time we visit, we'll definitely be back and recommend it to anyone we know who visits.

The staff was friendly and very prompt; the space was well curated and clean. We had the Ashak appetizer - yummy! We did thoroughly enjoy the bread that comes with the meal and my man LOVED the chutney - such a zesty lil kick to it! We split Chablee Kabob and Qurma Chalaw (chicken) - both were so flavorful. I particularly loved the Chablee, but the Qurma was very clearly made with love and reminiscent of a homemade comfort dish. We split the Finri for dessert - the perfect ending to a flavor-rich meal. Highly recommend.

Everything was super delicious and fresh, served quickly. Love how efficient and friendly the staff was! Portions were super big,so we had enough leftovers for dinner and then some..! This was a small location that served authentic Afghan cuisine. The menu had a number of…read moreintriguing options with reasonable prices. The service was friendly, and the food came out extremely quickly. I felt we were being rushed just a tad, but not a huge deal. For appetizers, the falafel ($7?), Mantu ($8?), and bholani cadu ($6?) were ordered. Regarding the falafel, there were five to an order. The falafel was very crispy and had decent flavor. I thought they needed a little more seasoning present. The Mantu were Afghan style dumplings filled with ground beef, onions, and seasonings. It was garnished with homemade mint yogurt and lentil sauce. This was light and soft with tons of flavor. The dumplings were filled appropriately, and the lentil sauce was a pleasant addition. The bholani cadu was a thin fried pastry filled with butternut squash and seasoned with fresh herbs and spices. This was interesting. The wonton was very crispy. The squash filling was sweeter than I thought, but still tasty. I also might add all of the three sauces provided at the tables were good, with the cilantro one being my favorite (cilantro I believe anyway). For my entrée, I had the lamb shank ($38?). It came with a soup, salad, a choice of rice, and naan. The soup appeared to be a lentil soup. It came out hot and was very pleasant. The salad consisted of tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers. It was prepared nicely as all the pieces were small and a good size portion. The simple dressing was great too. The lamb shank came with a few vegetables. The lamb was extremely tender, but not much meat was on the bone. There needed to be a little more seasoning too as it was lacking. I am just glad the lamb was so tender. I went with the Kabuli rice which had steamed carrots and raisins on top. This was fluffy and flavorful with a ton of it. The naan was okay, a little too crispy. I also tried the lamb chops. They had an unreal cook on them and seasoned well. I also tried the zamarud rice, which was good too. For dessert, the rice pudding ($8?) was ordered. It was creamy and filling. The nice crunch from the pistachios on top was a good addition. Will I go back? I would, yes.
