I can't believe I hadn't found his salon sooner. The atmosphere was relaxed, stress-free, thoughtful. And so was Koji! He took his time every step of the way and I left the space IN LOVE with my cut. I didn't want any length off my bangs, which were slightly too short for my liking before I came in, and he blended them so they'll grow out beautifully with the rest of my hair. My only reference picture was from another reviewer. I am over the moon and I will be back!!

Moreover, maturity level has a lot to do with it. Location: Salon is located near the Bay Club, the location is beautiful and plenty to do afterwards, but not worth it when you leave the salon with results that you clearly advised you did not want to see. Parking: Metered parking, somewhat tight due to gym; however, the salon does provide you a pass. Front desk person: Woman that answers the phone provides the recommendation on who to see based on the description that you give her; altough I'm not sure she is the right person so make those determinations. Color: Failed results at all times, kept saying that it's a process, yet she never invested in achieving the color as we discussed. I felt low and disregarded every single time I left the salon. I paid over $1000 to not obtain the results in each session. When I shared my concerns with her and advised that the incorrect color was used, she became distant, ghosted me on text and was not honest about when she was in the office. I called the salon and the woman at the front told me she was there. I feel cheated and hurt. There is no salon manager, no one that cares or that you can speak to about your concerns. Payments are done directly to the stylist.

I really hoped I was just thrown off since he blow dried my hair straight and I usually wear it wavy/curly but that wasn't the case. I love color, but I don't want it to be too over the top. I asked for softness and dimension and got just that. What especially stood out to me was how she approached my hair. During the application, she blow dried away the stray hairs before applying the color. Maybe it's not a new technique, but it was new to me and I really appreciated that level of attention. Anything that helps keep my hair healthier for longer, I need it! As for the salon itself, it's the nicest spot in the area. If I'm going to be sitting around for hours getting my hair done, I need it to be somewhere I actually enjoy being.

**Extremely Disappointed With My Hair Color**…read more I had my hair done by Lindsay. I was very clear about what I wanted: a **base break to lighten my roots** and blend them with the rest of my hair. Instead, Lindsay applied a dye/color that did not achieve what I had asked for. My roots were essentially left the same, and the result was not what we discussed. I trusted her with my hair and was expecting a professional result, but I left feeling extremely disappointed. The whole reason I booked the appointment was to have my roots lightened and blended, and that simply did not happen. What is especially frustrating is that I was clear about my desired result beforehand. If a base break wasn't going to achieve what I wanted, I would have expected that to be explained to me before proceeding with the service. I would not have agreed to pay for a service that didn't accomplish what I specifically requested. Unfortunately, my hair was left looking essentially the same at the roots, and now I have to spend additional time and money having another stylist correct it. I would strongly recommend making sure you are completely clear on what product and technique will be used before allowing them to proceed. I am extremely disappointed with the result and will not be returning to Lindsay.

He services his scissors in Japan semi-annually just to maintain his equipments in great condition. This helps prevent split ends and other hair troubles I used to frequently encounter. Nori also uses a scale to formulate the hair colors. You can feel assured you won't come out of the salon looking funky. Appointments can be made online directly from his website, or by emailing/texting him directly. He is very flexible and accommodating with appointments. Lastly, parking can be found adjacent from the salon building structure. You can also charge your EV for free too. Amex accepted and drinks and clean environment offered. I went in to get a perm and cut…read more The vibe was very nice. Very respectful. His space was very clean and tidy with what seems, state of the art tools. I have had fine hair all my life, but even still my hair has always taken well to perms, always. Even the last one over a year ago. The only complaint I had was the use of larger rods which made my hair more wavy curl than curly. Nori had said that my hair wouldn't take well to a perm, but because I know my hair's history, I asked him do it anyway and he agreed to do it. First he used a more gentle solution because of my pervious perm over a year ago (did not ask if I wanted that), and I didn't know until he was already in the process of using it on my hair... my hair needs the stronger solution. Second he did a loose curl wrap instead of a tight curl wrap. With fine hair (or at least my hair) it needs to be curled up against the scalp. I think he did this because it was a hot treatment perm (which I never had before) vs a cold treatment perm. He didn't give an option. So the perm came out ok on the bottom because it already had the previous perm that was there from a year ago. But the top part of my hair had virtually no difference. If you have fine hair and looking to get a perm, I would not recommend Nori. I'm sure he does really well with all other hair services. To his credit, the perm itself, aside from the lack of curl, was a healthy perm (did not harm my hair) and he did give a very nice cut prior to the perm process. I think if he would have explained his treatment process and how it differed from what I had previously experienced, that may have helped my decision to go elsewhere, before wasting over $200 I had taken a year 1/2 to save. Again I think he probably does really well with the other services he provides. I just think for women (or men) with fine hair, you may want to think twice if you're looking to get a perm.

Thank you Nikki and Joe for working on me for 5-6 hours to get this done. Honestly, I almost feel bad because Nikki would explain to me the process in detail and I would be clueless and just nodding my head since this was my first time and I got no clue about being blonde along with the technical terms included in the process of doing it. She knew this and changed her way of explaining so that I could understand it better. Haha. Things I learned was 1 close my eyes when they're rinsing off the bleach, 2 also close my eyes when I'm on the dryer with the bleach and 3 take all the stretch breaks that's offered. There's always a first time for everyone. The results were amazing!! I was nervous, scared and excited because it was a big change but also I didn't know if the color was gonna match me. She assured me that it would look great and it takes a lot to say something like that because that just meant that she knew what she was doing and it was true. Experience was great! She also fixed my chunky haircut and made it more streamlined which ultimately shaped it up to look amazing. We also did a trial run of curls to see how long it would hold if I decided to get it done a day before my nurse graduation this month. Not to mention they're so eager to help out with your progress shots too. Thank you so much!! Will definitely be back in the future. :)
