I tried the burnt coconut chicken and BBQ beef rice bowls. The meat tasted as if it came right off the grill, with great marination. Both dishes also come with papaya atsara, which adds a bold pickled flavor to the mix. I'm excited to do some work here this weekend. For dessert we ordered the  tsokolate which was a wonderful dark chocolate with a great smooth texture.  The space itself is playfully decorated as well and showcases some important mementos of the chefs' careers.  We look forward to finding out what other creative culinary treats await us on our next visit.

The bread seems to be a bit less than the tasting menu and the salad is ok. The sweet potato & crab is as good as I remember. The king salmon has a nice crust and the sauce is full of flavor. The curry shrimp is big and juicy for me but unfortunately, one of my wife's piece has a texture that indicates the shrimp is not fresh. The final dish is the Quail. It is unique as they remove the quail meat and replaces with duck sausage meat. No need to pick out any bones. Close out the night with Seaweed dessert. Definitely a different vibe when doing the a la carte dishes versus the tasting menu. The minor complain would be the dishes took a long time to come out. It was almost 30 mins between the crab and king salmon dishes to the curry shrimps and quail. Also took a while to get to the first two dishes as well.

We were in the mood to drink beer so he gave us some nice recommendations. The whit beer was not on the menu, so definitely request the bar tender if you're into that. It was great. For food, we ordered a couple of items off their apps menu. Crispy potato was very delicious. Nice flavors and especially the hot pepper adds nice kick to it. The chilly momo was very delicious as well. Took me back to my days in India where we would have these as our evening snack. Unfortunately, they don't serve the chutney with either the momos or crispy potatos. If you like some spicy dipping sauce, I highly recommend asking your waiter to bring you their house chutney. It goes very well with anything. Definitely coming back here to try some of their other items in the menu.

It's a set menu where you get the 4 types of meat: hanging tender, galbi, marinated galbi, and outside skirt (all American wagyu) that are cooked for you at the table. The welcome dish "moo ssam" was a nice clean bite, with the crunchy radish. For our side we selected the ssam, which included an assortment of leaves (perilla leaves, mustard greens, red lettuce) and scallion salad. We got the hwa moo chim as our appetizer, which was a salmon sashimi salad. For savory meal, we got the mul mak guksu and the galbi fried rice. We enjoyed all parts of the meal and our favorite was the beautiful ssam bowl, because the leaves were huge and very pretty. To this meal was more about the variety of the types of dishes rather than just the meat, though the meat cuts were good. They also provided multiple bonchon and sauces/topping (sea salt, chimichurri, sweet soy) and gave recommendations when to use what. For dessert we did pick the iced sujeon gwa and paid the extra for the bingsoo. Both were refreshing but I could enjoy the iced sujeon gwa without paying the extra, it was a cinnamony ice dish with jujubes. The bingsoo was ok, a little basic, with the shaved milk, red beans and rice cakes. The food was great but our server was so sweet and passionate about the food and her role. Lizeth was easy to talk to while she cooked the meat, which could've easily been awkward if she stood there and cooked the food. I would come back just for her!

Advice: sitting outside might be better in the cooler weather because we were being eaten alive by mosquitoes and fighting off flies. I really hope that they consider some type of nature oils near the tables to help guests feel more comfortable outdoors. Also, it would help to get more than one fan. Hospitality: aside from the bugs encounter, I would say that we did not have reservations (they were packed inside) so the hostess was nice enough to accommodate us outdoor. Our waiter, Anthony was a ball of energy and he really understands the dishes and was able to give great recommendations, some of which we plan to try on our next visit. Portions: the dishes are shareable so we only ordered the beef noodles and walnut shrimp and both were more than enough for a party of 2. DRINKS: I ordered the dark and stormy which can best be described as not too sweet and perfect for anyone desiring a well balanced drink. The bourbon smash was also really good. Well balanced with a smoky flavor which I loved. FOOD: Beef noodles- gosh this was so divine! Be warned however, there is a bit of spice to it but nothing that you won't be able to handle. I think the spices paired with the preparation of the noodles and the beef all made this dish memorable. Walnut shrimp- another memorable dish which came with a side of white rice. The shrimps were HUGE! But the flavors on each shrimp paired with that crunchy texture and creamy sauce, spectacular! Safe to say that we enjoyed both dishes and cannot wait to return and reserve indoor tables lol

I don't even know how to describe the energy in this place, but you can just feel it the moment you walk in. The restaurant has a dark aesthetic that gives it such a cool, cozy ambiance. My daughter and I ordered the Dan Dan noodles and spicy wontons. Everything was so filling that we ended up ordering another bowl of the Dan Dan noodles! And honestly, I still crave them. The Dan Dan noodles were SO good. The sauce was the perfect combination of creamy and spicy, and there was a generous amount of minced pork that balanced everything out really well. The wontons paired perfectly with the chili sauce that came with them! They were spicy--my ears turned red and my nose started running--but I literally could not stop going back for another bite. Even the wontons alone were incredibly filling. I don't live anywhere near this place, and I genuinely wish I did. I traveled pretty far to get here, and I'd absolutely do it again. This was one of those meals that stays on your mind long after you've left!

We've even spent New Year's Eve with them twice (most recently in 2026) and had a blast. I've never been so excited to see a DC restaurant on Eater DC's YouTube channel. I visited Queen's English for the second time on a Friday in March (a few years back) right before closing. Fortunately, for my girlfriend and I, they were still taking names for indoor seating. My girlfriend asked for something inside and away from the door. The hostess did not disappoint. She tucked us into the back right corner in a circular booth. Perfect. Walter was our server and he was divine. He didn't miss a beat in taking care of us. He was well informed about the menu, especially our choice of the Crispy Whole Red Snapper (which is now Branzino) - one for each of us, medium sized. While it isn't made using a fully traditional Korean method, it was absolutely delicious -- easily the best kimchi fried rice I've had in the past few years. We also ordered their signature pork and potato stew. It was excellent; the chili flavour was smooth, and every ingredient was wonderfully seasoned. Our server was incredibly polite and friendly, and we were happy to leave a tip for them. We plan to come back tomorrow evening, but unfortunately, our server told us they might not be working then.
