The reviews are real! I have nothing but good things to say about BA Repair and about Dean. I called them because my dryer had died. Dean was so considerate. He called me at the beginning of the 4-hour window to let me know about what time he'd arrive (3-4pm) in case I wanted to run errands, instead of having to sit home waiting. He then called when he was leaving his appointment before me for my '30-minute warning'! So my experience started out great. It only got BETTER!!! Dean was pleasant and professional and treated me well. (you know how sometimes repair people treat women like idiots? - Dean is NOT one of those types!!!) Anyway, he spent about 20+ minutes diagnosing the problem, and then let me know that we should start planning a funeral for our dryer because it was "dead". He explained that he COULD repair it if I wanted, but that the repair would cost as much or more than a new dryer, so I told him we'd get a new dryer. Dean even gave me a connection at Lowe's who would 'take care of me' and I'm meeting with him this week. Dean was very apologetic that I had to get a new washer, but that's what he recommended. He could have just done the repair and I'd have paid the bill, but he did what was best for me, not him. How refreshing! They build their clientele with referrals and repeat customers. And I will be one of his repeat customers any time I need an appliance repair. Dean also (apologetically) charged me the minimum he could for the service call, which I also appreciated. He felt badly charging me, but I'd have insisted because he was so honest and helpful! I will never go anyplace else for any repairs! They have a customer for life in me! I recently purchased a condo and within 2 months of purchase my Kenmore oven AND my Samsung washing machine both started having problems. I scheduled service with my home warranty company with BA Appliance Repair for the oven and added my own service ticket for the washing machine since it wasn't covered under the home warranty. Elliott their service technician called ahead of time, arrived promptly, was masked for saftety and immediately put his protective booties on to keep my place clean. Elliot quickly diagnosed the problems for the oven and the dishwasher, was able to order parts while on the service call and scheduled the install of the parts before leaving the 1st service call. The parts came in, Elliott returned, installed the new parts and everything is in great working order now. BA's customer service and fair pricing is what stood out to me, between confirming appointments, to "I'm on my way" phone call to solving the problem in a timely manner are very rare in my opinion for service companies. My Kitchen-Aid dishwasher started being loud and ultimately leaked. I called the 1-800 number in the machine, and they immediately directed me to another local repair company. I had used them before and although they were nice, they were unable to fix my problem at the time. This time, I decided to go online and read reviews for other repair companies and decided on BA. They consistently had positive reviews with very satisfied customers-so I called them. In true BA fashion, my service guy came on time and was super friendly. He quickly got to work and found the culprit of the noise...broken glass! Next he found that a hose had been cut by the glass and was the reason for the leaking. At this point he added up the cost and told me it was not worth it to repair-I was better off purchasing a new machine. He referred me to the Beechmont Lowes as BA does not sell or install new machines. I was thankful for his honesty and his knowledge of my appliance. Bill called and arrived as indicated. Fixed our leak. Sears Repair was sent out (twice) to fix our broken door dishwasher through our American Home Shield. 1st guy fixed the door & left a leak. 2d guy said it would be $474 to fix door- not covered by AHS. I asked for another opinion and AHS sent out BA Appliance. Bill (BA) was very thorough, made some adjustments, cleaned the dishwasher parts and ran the cycles, as well as oriented us on how to maximize the life of the dishwasher and most importantly left us with a fully functioning dishwasher! Door is fine and NO leaking water! Mom's a happy camper! Bill (BA Appliance) was courteous, knowledgeable and honest. What a difference in repair methods! I thought there was a problem with the freezer in my refrigerator because the temperature had increased significantly. The temperature returned to normal overnight, but we wanted to be sure there wasn't a problem that would cause the temperature to rise again. When the technician, Bill, arrived first thing in the morning, he asked a few questions and checked things on the refrigerator. He said everything was operating correctly, and he theorized the door on the freezer might have been slightly open long enough for warm air to enter and cause the temperature to rise. Bill could have put in a new control panel or replaced another part just to increase the bill. But he was very honest with us, and we really appreciated that. Even after having to cancel at the last minute due to an last minute change in my schedule. And in dealing with the service repair man, he was the most helpful and understanding person I've dealt with. This was our first time in dealing with needing repairs done on a washer. He took the time to understand what was wrong Then, when we realized it was an easy fix that was actually our fault, he helped us with fixing it along with making sure we had everything hooked up correctly (which we didn't). During a very friendly phone conversation, i was told earliest appt was Wednesday between 9-12 (less than 48 hours after call, impressive!) Received a call Wednesday morning at 9 letting me know he would arrive between 11-12 in case I needed to run any morning errands (very pleased with that call). He arrived at 11:15ish, explained everything concerning costs (parts, labor, service call) then repaired my dryer at a very affordable price and gave me a few helpful hints along the way! Honesty. Communication. Clear direction. This is how a business should be run! My first call to the office got a pleasant woman who scheduled an appointment. The day of the appointment the technician called and confirmed the time, then asked questions about the problems I was having. A third call came when he was leaving his last appointment to come to me. He arrived on time and laid out all of my options with the benefits and pitfalls. We decided it was better to replace it with a new unit, which BA Appliance Repair does NOT sell! A less scrupulous outfit would've repaired it and let me suffer with a lesser unit. I've never before been impressed enough by a home repair to do a yelp review.We were referred to BA appliance repair by our home warranty company so I wasn't sure what to expect. Elliot was a very pleasant surprise. He was very nice and polite and best of all he was extremely knowledgeable and diligent and stuck with the task until he figured out the cause of our problem. Our washer wasn't spinning the water out and he determined that the pump had a buildup which was allowing the tub to spin but not to go into the high spin part of the cycle. I have had BA come to my home in Wilder KY several times. They have repaired all of my appliances (washer, dryer, stove, dishwasher & refrigerator). They have saved me thousands of dollars by extending the life of my appliances. Their service technicians are friendly, knowlegable and they show up on time. They clean up after the service and explain in laymen terms what they did and what we need to do. Any time I call in a claim with my home warranty company, I ask for them by name. If I could give 10 stars I would! Bill from BA Appliance repair came to fix my ice maker. He had to replace the motor. I then asked if he could at some point replace the hoses on my washing machine. He did it all. And he gave me some other tips for my appliance use. He was friendly, professional, came when he was suppose to come and called ahead to let me know how long it would be before he would arrive. Fabulous customer service all around. Making my appointment was easy and convenient. I was given a 4 hour window of time for service, but my technician called ahead with an estimated time which was awesome. A second appointment was needed for the repair and he had a cancelation for earlier than planned time so called to see if this would work and was done with the service before even scheduled to arrive. Excellent response. Office scheduled a 4 hour window on a specific day and technician called during that time to provide a half hour window. He arrived on time and immediately diagnosed the problem that it was a worn out bearing assembly that would be too expensive to replace on a 6 year old washing machine. Explained why this is a common problem with most new generation machines and recommended a brand that has retained a durable design and has a 5 year warranty on all parts. Great service and EVERYONE was very friendly. Had saved my wash for Friday bc we were leaving early Saturday morning for vacation. My washer starts beeping with the first load. Called BA appliance and talked to Adam who was so nice and said they were busy but that he was going to call and see if anyone thought they would finish early.
