    Ice Strawberry Matcha Latte

This is such a cute coffee shop! The strawberry matcha was 10/10 and the baristas were welcoming. There's not too much seating but it didn't feel cramped, just cozy. I came in for a purpose (to try the strawberry matcha), but this would be a great cafe to catch up on some work or just hang out

This place has a wide variety of drinks and food from boba to macarons. Came for a hot lemon ginger tea which was way too boiling hot. I like their cafe logo but their coffee sleeve was very thin in terms of insulation. There is plenty of seating inside too, and I like their wall of local flyers.

Came in while I was waiting for a show at Theatre Exile. Staff didn't seem particularly friendly, but, they had some nice cheesecake. It was a nice place to sit and wait though.

Such a cute little cafe with so many options! I often see people working on laptops inside while enjoying a drink. I'm drawn to keep going back to try all the different specialty drinks.

Pic of the very *untoasted* bun after two soggy bites - didn't think to take a pic until after picking the Brie off to eat plain

I've been really excited to try this spot for a while since their menu promotes having both gluten free bagels and rolls. I assumed (should have checked but still) that the gf roll would be baguette style since they were listed together and ordered the Brie honey on one... I got a soggy gluten free hamburger bun with a few slices of lukewarm Brie and honey slapped in the middle. When I asked to have it toasted in hopes of making it more palatable I was told it had been, which I'm still confused by. Giving 2 stars because the strawberry green tea was still good.

The place did not seem very busy but they clearly do a booming door dash business as their pick up shelf was full. We got a ice caramel macchiato and a regular coffee. Both were fine. The ambiance is quiet, but the staff was not very friendly. Took a few minutes to be acknowledged, but our drinks came out quickly.

    This was a match frappe

The service w as s fine they were really nice but I just didn't like the drinks or the sweets they were really cute but they were lacking in flavor

It's AWESOME that they have diary-free cream cheese here! so nice to have the option not to resort to hummus, lol. The person who took my order was lovely. I think some parts of the ambience could use a revamp, but the mural is great. A lot of smoothie and juice options that I did not get the chance to try, but I'll be back. The outdoor seating also looked nice.

I like the Iced coffee sandwiches! Feel free to bring your dog in here too while you're ordering- dog friendly! Quaint little cafe. I got the avocado, tomato, cream cheese (I think this is #3) on a toasted white sandwich. The sandwiches are made to order so it takes like 20-30 minutes especially if they get busy just fyi. Slow Service. Iced coffee is average but I think the sandwiches are good quality and they give a decent amount of toppings. Sandwiches are about ~7. The bread makes it pretty filling. Cute spot to grab a bite to eat for lunch. It get kind of crowded inside but I saw some people with laptops doing work/studying. I think this is a good place if you're vegan.

B2 has plenty of sunlight and lots of drinks on the menu!

I visited B2 the other day for the first time, and tried an interesting chai tea and yogurt smoothie. It was actually really delicious and filled my need for something spicy and a bit filling. The menu of food options looked really good, too, with many healthy / vegan choices, but I will have to return again in the future and get something to eat there! This place was very crowded around 5pm on a weeknight - most people taking up a table to read or use their laptop alone. The tables were a bit crammed together - so my conversation with my friend wasn't too "private" but I do think that the single people at the tables on either side of us were listening to their headphones while we were chatting! It's at a very convenient intersection of East Passyunk near the Acme and POPE, so they definitely get good business here... and it's easy to see why! The staff were overall very friendly, the warm atmosphere was comfortable and relaxed, and the options were all that you'd expect from a coffee shop like this! I'll be back.

What I learned was: "Oh...it's an entire gluten-free facility with sandwiches, baked goods, and bread made fresh on-site." Now back to these donuts: * Coconut Cake (top left) * Apple Fritter (top right) * Lemon Glaze (bottom) I went gluten-free in 2010, before I discovered Krispy Kreme, so I have never experienced the joy of a hot donut. Until yesterday. The Lemon Glaze is cooked to order and served warm, and I am prepared to make the bold statement that it may be the best donut I've ever had in my life. Yup, I said what I said. The Apple Fritter gave me serious coffee roll vibes, which is something I've missed terribly, so that was an unexpected win. And all three passed the ultimate gluten-free test: they didn't taste or feel gluten-free. Honestly, I'd recommend this place even if you're not gluten-free. The fact that I left talking about the donuts instead of the gluten-free part tells you everything you need to know.

The line took us about 30 minutes to get inside, then we ordered at the counter, took a number, and the food was brought to our table. In that way, it actually is a very efficient system and there were plenty of tables, with some being reserved. The presentation of the food was lovely!! How adorable. We admired the little smiley face on the pancakes! They were so cute. The breakfast sandwich was good, but just okay. It wasn't anything special. I thought the sauce was hot sauce, but it was more of a barbecue sauce dip. I appreciated being able to sub the avocado in the sandwich over the meat without an extra charge to make it vegetarian. Overall, I get the hype, but try to get there early to avoid a long wait. The pancakes are delightful, but very sweet and syrup soaked, so I could only eat about a quarter of it. I'd recommend splitting! Also the cost wasn't bad either - the whole meal for three entrees, taxes, and a tip was pretty average for brunch in the city, costing us each (we split all the food in half) roughly $30.

I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

Turkey was tender, bread (ciabatta I think?) held together fine even though the sandwich was pretty loaded. Definitely a lean-over-the-plate kind of sandwich, got some chutney on my fingers, but that's kind of expected with a sandwich like this I guess. Also got one of the latke hash browns on the side and that thing didn't last long at all - crispy outside, soft in the middle, I finished it before I was even halfway through my sandwich. Might've been the better item honestly, don't tell the sandwich that.

The line was pretty long since we came on a Saturday morning, but it moved surprisingly fast. They had a huge selection of donuts, along with other baked goods and cakes. It was hard to choose because everything looked so good, but we ended up getting the apple fritter, maple bacon, and Biscoff donut. The maple bacon was definitely our favorite. The donut itself had this amazing sweet maple smell, almost like straight maple syrup. The bacon on top was a nice touch, and the whipped maple creme filling was delicious. It was definitely a sweet donut, but it hit the spot. The Biscoff donut came in a close second. It had the perfect filling-to-bread ratio, and as someone who loves anything Biscoff, this was super satisfying. Both of these donuts were incredibly soft and had the perfect texture. The apple fritter ranked third for us, but it was still really good. It wasn't as sweet as the other two, which was actually nice and helped balance everything out. I do wish it had been a little crispier and had more pieces of apple throughout, but I still enjoyed it.
