Because of its location and its size, it is very congested from the downtown locale, to the parking lot, to the interior. One cart alone can block any aisle in the store. The produce selection is limited when compared to other HEB stores, but it is adequate for the community it serves. On my drive from Houston to Dallas, I would rather have stopped farther out of Dallas to get my HEB fix than to stop at this one. But for the people it provides for, this HEB is definitely getting the job done, and its employees are providing that famous HEB customer service.

This store is smaller than most I shop in, but it makes good use of its space, and their employees are very helpful. In fact, it's the first grocery store I've been to in the US where the courtesy clerk (bagger) automatically brings your groceries to your car. I don't know if they do this with everyone, but we had assistance both times we shopped here. Maybe it was because my sisters are pretty, or because we had a cartful each time, or both. The prices are low, but I deduct a star for their very limited selection of whole grain breads and pastas. TIP: get the Brookshire's Thank You card to save money.
