I never post reviews but being without a phone for five days and as many days on the phone with my phones providers Customer Service with no help at all I went to Walmart and received the best customer service attention. I feel like this employee Luketha McDaniel should be recognized as a dedicated employee she has empathy for others needs, she definitely deserves a "pat on the back" for understanding and helping me make sure my Walmart ATT phone was working before i left Walmart. This location is horrible. ALWAYS out of items. Some aisles are so narrow only 1 buggy at a time. In addition there is way too many added displays clogging the aisles. It makes for a very frustrating experience. THEN you getting the checkout. 5...yes 5 employees standing there watching for theft. More often than not.. a young employee is leaning on the soda cooler on his/her cell phone. And no it's not a company phone. Personal cell sitting on top of company phone. Then some line nazi tells you what line to get in. She even grabbed my buggy and tried to physically move me!! Walmart...get it right!!!! read more

We absolutely hate it. The building is too small for the surrounding areas it serves. If you call them nobody will answer the phone or it will take 30 minutes for them to answer. Walmart's penny pinching solution to increase the building's size was to cause months of inaccessible, roped off construction that resulted in shrunken aisles to one cart width, so now two carts can't fit in an aisle. Thanks Walmart! Bet that required a real man of genius! They're ALWAYS out of most foods, especially Great Value lines, forcing you to buy name brands and spend more, so just shop Brookshires. If you do a pickup order, they'll substitute items that don't relate to your original item. If you shop other Walmart stores in smaller towns, you'll find items this one doesn't carry. I would bet big money the Managers there do NOT shop there. Cashiers are super slow, like Tim Conway's old man character on the Carole Burnett Show-sssslllloooooowwwww, so you must use self checkout. Shoppers bring dogs in (not potty trained support animals but barking, pooping, peeing pets) so you walk around pee and poop and Walmart doesn't care, as I've complained to corporate and they say, "We try to serve everyone with pets, blah, blah blah". I highly recommend shopping at ANY other Walmart, EXCEPT this one. read more

Worst Walmart I've ever been to, rude employees, empty shelves all the time, long lines with few cashiers, the auto center and pharmacy are the worst, slow and incompetent. Never let them change your oil. The pharmacy is not helpful to people with no insurance, they don't even try to help you with alternatives, and half the time the discount coupons don't work, and they can't give you any answers as to why, or what you can do, being a senior citizen I need help sometimes and this is not the place to get it, the concept of customer service is nonexistent at this store. You will never find any deals at this store, and the produce is awful, everything rots within days of purchasing. The deli is a nightmare, they will be doing something, see you standing there, and will ignore you, won't say anything, like I'll be with you in a moment, or I'll be right with you, again, customer service nonexistent, and they are slow, very slow, I've seen people get mad and leave because they just take forever. The whole vibe you get from most of the employees at this store, is they don't want to be there and that they are just lazy, so they treat the customers indifferently, they stand in the isles, walk in front of you when your shopping, and there's no pardon me, or excuse me, they are just rude and inconsiderate, and it's not just the younger employees, the older employees are way worse, this is why I'd rather go to Brookshires, I'd rather spend a little more, and be treated like I'm appreciated for shopping at that store, and spending my $$, but sometimes it's unavoidable, I have to use the Canton Walmart, and it's the same aggravating experience, every time. And these problems are not new, I've lived in the Canton area for almost 10 years, and this store has always had bad service, and bad management problems. NEVER EVER GO TO THSI STIRE. In 20 Items or less line today person on front me had at least 40. I am waiting and waiting patiently. Then clerk had them put up lame closed. Ok. I moved to the other line as 2 of these side by side. Waiting waiting. Finally the 40'item person done and crowding their way out. Came here for cake, ice cream and birthday party supplies. No birthday hats. No packs of balloons ("We stopped carrying them," was the manager's reply to our query). No fun. The chocolate fudge cake from the bakery and the Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla wasn't freezer-burned. So yea for that! read more

Very pleased with the automotive center. Oil change & the works they were fast and it was ready before I was finished shopping which was fantastic so I didn't have to wait longer! The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. Will come back again... read more

I normally don't post reviews of unpleasant experiences. I went to Canton Walmart early to avoid the crowds . I encountered MULTIPLE people shopping for online customers ( which I support 100%). 5 out of the 8 I encountered were so rude and oblivious to the other shoppers around them . They would park in the middle of an isle not allowing others coming or going around them , cut people off, walked in front of me 5 + times as I was removing items off the shelf to load into my basket . NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE! I only hope that this can be a teachable moment in a meeting to address. Being courteous as other shoppers are to one another isn't asking too much . I left the store once I discovered the mgr of the online shopping didn't arrive until 11:00 . I did call and voice my concerns, hopefully this not happen to anyone else . read more

I never had real issue with this walmart. Lucky to have one period. One stop shop. Always accept my returns and have lowest everyday prices. Pretty much have everything I need in stock. Compare to competition they'll 1-2 bucks cheaper or even more. Sometimes lines are long but I use self checkout no problems. read more

Great job Canton Walmart. Had two lanes open and a long line. Opened 6 more registers in about 3 mins to help get people out. Bravo

2 Redbox Rental Boxes at the entrance?!? SCORE!!! 24/7 customer service with friendly staff and a clean, well maintained store. My family practically lives at Walmart in Canton. There's nowhere else to go, might as well help boost the economy with some shopping. read more

The place is always busy. Not enough cashiers for its large customer base in Canton Texas.

It's Walmart, I shouldn't need to say more. Everyone knows the reason why you go to Walmart is because they force small business out, making them the only place to go. Huge selection, one stop shopping and low priced clothing made in China that falls apart when you wash it are a few more reasons people go there. This Walmart in particular is more expensive than most, has a weaker selection than most and has aisles so skinny you can't push a buggy through without bumping elbows with the person going the other way. The employees work hard to keep it clean at least. read more

This Walmart in Canton, TX is very frustrating. They have stocking issues. It seems that the workers stock shelves when the store is busy. The store is hard to navigate. Every time I go, they are missing many items on there shelves. They constantly run out of pizza and cheese. It seems they don't have enough employees. I am sooo sick of this location! To start off every time I come to this store there are buggies everywhere. Weather it's to come too the bank or just to shop for my family. A couple of weeks ago ome on the stupid buggies hit my brand new car! This coroner virus has really effected this store!!! Really glad I wore my crocs instead of my loafers because I stepped on one of those wall hooks that are suppose to be holding product. Just tore up my shoe, did not injure me. They never backstalk anything and when they do nothing is in the right place . Pleaze tell your cashiers that their shift is not social hours. They always hold up the line talking to customers about stuff that is irrelevant! I could be using that wasted time to help my sick granny!!! Also there was NO toilet paper. I have a family of 9 so what are we suppose to use now? There weren't any paper towels so I bought shop towels from the automotive section instead. Thank god those are in stock!!! Will NOT be going back. I will make the drive to Terrell I guesse. One last thing. The employees in there do not move when you ask them to! Please train your employees correctly read more

This particular store does not like to honor their AD Match Policy and some of the cashiers get real snippy if they have to check you out. Clay, one of the managers will look you in the face while saying how superior their quality of meat and produce is and that is why they WILL NOT honor the corporate policy. read more

This store has greatly improved in the last 2 yrs. Staff is friendly & really try to help. Inventory levels are mostly adequate. Store is clean. In total the staff, inventory & cleanliness are all greatly improved. I actually do some shopping there now. Before this store was my source of last resort. I believe it must be a better management team. BTW, auto center is slow as Christmas. Inventory is fine, but service for oil change, tires, etc. is too d**** slow. read more
