I had the worst possible experience with HEB. I got really ill from some coffee creamer, I had never had anything like this happen. I know it was not HEB's fault however the customer service was beyond helpful and caused me great inconvenience. I'm including the screenshots.

When I saw this HEB I got excited and thought surely it will be held to the same standards as my HEB at Bay Colony. Boy howdy was I wrong! It is very outdated and smelled so bad near the flowers and produce. Something over there was rotten and smelling really strongly. On top of that the store had not been kept up with and was severely needing repairs all over the store including the restrooms.

We walked in and it was a good sized bakery that was well lit, bright, with plenty of places to sit. There was a variety of fresh baked breads, muffins, pies, as well as other things to choose from. I wanted a sandwich so I went up to the counter. The person working there was nice. She gave me a few minutes to decide what I wanted. I placed my order, paid, and waited for my name to be called. After about 10 minutes my name was called, I grabbed my order and we were off. As far as the food goes it was delicious. I ordered the Petite Turkey Cranberry Sandwich which comes with turkey, lettuce, apple, cream cheese and honey drizzle. It was the perfect size for traveling and didn't leave me overly full. Overall, Collin Street Bakery was a good place to stop with a clean atmosphere, friendly staff, and several bakery food options.

I love pecan pie but nobody in my family does so when I get a chance to get a slice, I do. I was so excited to take my first bite. It was so nasty. I went to get some cookies, 2 lemon cookies and 2 tart cookies, 2 chocolate w/nuts cookies. The tart, one bite, gross, the lemon, one bite gross, the chocolate was good. Since we had already left I couldn't get my money back. In the trash they went.

Downhill or just a disappointment to nostalgia? Not sure,…read morebut it wasn't good. Since I was a kid, my dad would make a point to stop here on his way back from work trips in Dallas. He always brought home that famous FRUIT CAKE, and it was the only fruitcake our family enjoyed. It was a holiday staple. This time (many years later) on the way back from my own work trip, I excitedly stopped by for some goodies. It fell way below expectations from the get-go. None of the employees seemed familiar with products, pricing, availability, etc. they all seemed lost (perhaps seasonal help for the holidays?). On a Friday afternoon, there weren't many offerings in the bakery display. Still, I wanted to sample a little of everything. So, I got 2 dozen cookies, some cake slices, breads.... And of course the FRUIT CAKE. I brought the fruit cake to my parents for Christmas, and thank goodness that recipe hasn't changed. That was the only thing that made the trip worthwhile at all.... Everything else was TERRIBLE. Stale, dry, bland, boring. I'm convinced most of it has been sitting on the shelf for a few days (maybe a couple of weeks). Nothing was fresh or tasty. Just ewww. For sentiment's sake, thanks for the fruit cake. Good thing you can order online or find it at HEB.

The place is not just the store but the actual factory where they make the chocolate. They had so many things to pick from and at great prices! For the people who only like certain ones in the box, they had bins to pick out the individual pieces. I also saw boxes of Whitmans and was surprised, I did not know that they were "Russell Stover". There was a customer there that gave us a secret tip- go into the back room. Ok, we went into the back room. In that back room they have all of the sale chocolate!! They had boxes and boxes on sale! We bought more than we planed on but that's ok, I'm going to give it away for Valentine's Day!

If you have not been yet- run!! Hurry and try this experience!…read more Definitely an amazing family day out idea. It is a factory that makes chocolate in the back, but in the front there is a storefront that has a huge selection of chocolate treats in the front. There is an ice cream bar with bluebell ice cream that you can get made into a milkshake or have scoops of ice cream. They also have a specialty chocolate section that it has handmade treats that are a little more elevated than the ones in the box. In the back of the store they have a discount section so don't miss it! The service was truly amazing! We spilled a milkshake and the Employee was the sweetest about me not even helping her. She wanted me to enjoy my day and continue on. We still helped but just the thought of her saying you come first in the year 2026 lol. We tried several boxes of chocolate but mainly focused on turtles; which are milk chocolate, caramel, and pecan treats. I purchased one that was handmade in the front - which was divine! I purchased a box of Christmas turtles that were on discount - Amazing! And I got a pecan caramel apple. The apple was OK the inside apple had a strange texture and flavor. I'm not sure if they boil the apples or what process before coating them, but it changed the Apple itself but the caramel and pecans were delectable! We got milkshakes- not the cheapest but very good! The store is immaculately, clean and organized. If you are on a road trip or not, it is worth the stop.
