Never in my life have I ever dealt with such a put-out bunch of people. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I had ordered 101 prints back in the winter for an art show and they were delivered to me via mail. prior to this they had already forgot to do one of my scans of my original so i had to pay extra shipping for that since it was through a separate order. However, the order confirmation looked good on both receipts and everything I ordered was present in the recipt. Wasn't until recently when setting everything up for the show that i realized they had only sent 86 prints. I didn't take them out of the box when skimming through. They were never sent. The workers in the production room insisted they did everything right yet, I never received the 15 prints and was still charged in full. I sent an email saying it was too late for the prints at this point and that i couldnt use them. I asked for a refund for the missing prints. They informed me "it's been over 30 days" and didn't care to elaborate on "30 days past" what exactly? or their refund policy. I asked about this several times but never got a straightforward response till later on. I Initially spoke with Pam and she was open to helping me submit a refund but failed to inform me she was doing it in that very moment, and "sent" the refund to an inactive card. She told me that she could possibly just send me a check in the mail instead and would get back to me. After this, she said that the owner told her all she could do was give me a "print credit" to print more in the future. Mind you i expressed over and over i could no longer use the prints and was ignored continuously. I asked to speak with the owner. He did not contact me till the next day and i was told he had to consult with his wife about giving a refund first. He said he would call me around 2 the next day. I waited for that call, knowing i wasnt going to get a refund at that point so i just called pam and said i just wanted the prints since it was the only way of essentially getting any money back At that point. She told me during the call that they have a "no refund policy". She clearly had no idea about this beforehand, and agreed she didnt. She apologized and said "i shouldnt have tried to help you", "should've asked first" and confirmed she would send the prints. At that point I wasnt planning on speaking to owner. Regardless, he called me over half an hour later than planned, reiterating the same thing about the print credit. I essentially said i give up and just wanted the prints so i could be done with all this. I also expressed how upset i was at the lack of professionalism. He only apologized for this via email after we called when I mentioned id be writing a review. I reminded him that stealing money is illegal and he said he "didn't care" what he was charged with then said the prints would be sent. That same night, i saw they labeled the new prints with the wrong address (which I can no longer access), rather than my only shipping address on file. I informed them and was told I might receive new confirmation for the address fix and should be able to use the same tracking # to view the update. I didn't see the address fix. So, i called to simply to see if it was just an issue on my end.This person in the production room was very short with me and just told me to look again and that they didn't know how ups worked.I wasn't able to find that information but the order was eventually delivered. The lack of professionalism, negligence and incompetence has been unreal from the start of this nightmare process. They took advantage of a student when it was so easy to do the right thing. Obviously the culture the owner has established is don't count on any service after the sale. read more

This company was a pleasure to do business with on every level. They had an outstanding variety of in stock options and a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I received excellent trade in value on my existing camera body towards the purchase of a new one, with a no hassle experience or pressured up selling attempts. The owner even came over to introduce himself and thank me for my business. Something rarely seen these days. It's nice to be acknowledged as a consumer, so I genuinely appreciated the effort. It was and is appreciated. Having Fort Worth Camera to care for the needs of local photographers is a good thing. Along with the personal service, their pricing is very competitive. These folks provide a lovely showroom and high-quality print lab staffed by people with skin in the game. I come to FW Camera because it's convenient. However, I have been coming here for years. My experience at Fort Worth camera has never or let say seldom been a good one. Most recently I rented a lens online. Upon picking it up the sales person went through the motion of getting it for me. Suddenly she surprised me with a special request of a credit card, of which I sell them carry and did not this day. Although I understand that it is policy to get that. We could've saved the heartache by telling me that I needed to provide that before she took out the lens. Since I don't live too far away, I complied because I needed this item. I appreciate FW Camera moving to the west side from Montgomery Street. However the prickly customer service persists. read more

Great prints, so much better than Walgreens or Sams! However, if you are in a hurry, this is not the place! If ordering online, allow at least 8-10 days and to be picked up in person, at least 3-4 days! They will get to your order, when they get to it. Jordan Chiles greeted us as soon as we walked in and when we told her the problem with the camera focus, she promptly started looking at the camera to see if it was fixable. Well, you do need a charged camera to do that and since mine was not, Jordan found a battery we could use - even the camera being an older camera, she was able to handle the issue very quickly. I asked how long she had been working there and handling camera problems and she said 9 months. WOW, she isfast and good!! Also, she was 'country polite' - I'm from the country and there is a different attitude - a very genuine respect and politeness that is not always seen in the city. Wow! It's like checking out all the great camera equipment you see online and you can actually put it in your hands.. touch it, play with it.. The salespeople are helpful.. I bought two deep translucent umbrellas and was going to purchase a lighting grid.. the sales person kept asking me what kind of lights I was using.. I didn't know off hand and they wouldn't sell it to me.. these particular items are made to fit certain lights specifically.. they knew I would probably get the wrong one etc.. so they saved me money and time when they could have just sold me whatever.. took the cash and left it at that.. they actually cared about what I would use it for and if it would fit my needs.. rare!! It's also a clean facility and much more than I have experienced at other camera stores.. Worth the visit.. and yes you may pay a bit more than amazon.. but you are paying for the knowledgeable service also.. Will come back again! read more

We never visited the first location, but this new location for Fort Worth camera is really well done. Aesthetics alone make the camera shop a must-visit. The staff was very helpful and can answer just about any question you have regarding cameras. They have a wide array of options for any facet of camera supplies which is always great to see. They provide a ton of services outside of sales such as photo development, sensor cleaning, equipment rental etc. There's also an instore classroom! The only potential con for the shop is that things are a bit pricey. This isn't enough to take a star off though, because camera equipment doesn't come cheap and this is a great local company providing a full photography experience. All things said and done, we had a great experience at Fort Worth Camera, and will definitely be back! read more

You know what I love the most about Fort Worth Camera - besides the cool building and incredible interior and product offerings - the customer service. I am far from a professional, but every person in this place treats me like I'm the most important person in the store, without being condescending or rude that I have some pretty silly questions about camera. Bill was one person in particular who helped me recently and went above and beyond to set up my Nikon D5600. Look, I don't think I've ever left a review, but I feel this is warranted. First, understand that FW Camera doesn't accept returns. I should have exercised more diligence in this matter and perhaps it should be more clearly mentioned in store. That's really not my point here though. MacKenzie bent over backwards to make it right for me. I made an impulse purchase of a lens I didn't really need and I came in 16hrs after purchase to return it. MacKenzie wasn't pushy at all about my mistake and rather guided me to another lens (a super awesome one) that fit my needs better. On top of that he made me an absolutely great deal on the trade. I went there on Thursday and dropped off some camera equipment to sell.I was told i needed to leave it there for a couple of Days.I went back on Monday and was told it had not been looked at yet and icould leave it another day or take it. Guy told me Bailey would look at it and i said do i need to come back or will she call me.He said she would call me.Tuesday goes by and nothing! Wed i go back and get my things back. I could see it had been gone thru but nothing was said to me.I got my things and left.They had it six days and i made three trips for nothing. what a great way to lose customers,and a lousy way to do business. read more

Staff was very informative and friendly about the products they sold and services they offered. I got a tour of the rental studio from a sales associate. A HUGE shout out to Fort Worth Camera. I needed copies of my husbands video, pictures and songs, from his funeral. Obviously this is extremely important, personal and emotional. After calling everywhere I could think of, Staples suggested Fort Worth Camera. I confirmed they do provide this service, got a price and quoted a two day turn around. When I went there, I was greeted by MacKenzie, the General Manager, we discussed what I needed, he turned the dvd over and saw the label from the funeral home. He asked my name, with my voice cracking, I told him. Obviously the last name on the dvd and mine are the same. He did them at half price. He called around 3 hours later, left a voicemail telling me the DVD's were ready and thank me for trusting them with this special order. Super cool place!! This is one of the most amazing camera shop I have seen. They have an extensive line of products and service to help the public. From cameras, flashes and sd cards to camera bags, lenses, printing equipment and more. There's a great variety of products you can find here. Also for my surprise, they do private classes and you just need a camera. You don't need to be and expert to be in a class. They teach you even if you have no photography knowledge. I have rented plenty but this is the 3rd time in a row that I have rented a lens and there is no hood cap to be found. This is so disappointing. This should be a standard in all rentals. I have boasted Ft. Worth Camera to so so many folks and I can't do that with good faith any longer. When I rent something, I expect to have it all there. I was put in a very tight spot. As a beginner photographer I thought that Fort Worth Camera Supply was very helpful in assessing my needs and getting me a set up that would work best for me. I came in basically knowing the camera I wanted, but the staff gave me good advice on how to protect my camera. They have in-house insurance that covers all damage to your camera (besides lost/stolen), which is perfect for me as I like to take outdoorsy pictures. The insurance also gives you 6 free cleanings of your camera over the 3-year life of the plan. The reason I have to give them a 4 is because I really wanted to find a good camera bag and it seemed like all of the bags were very overpriced. Big thanks to FWC for offering the intro to Drones class. The class was just enough info to get me wanting more. I can't wait to learn more about drones and flying them. Jordan Johnson was the instructor and did a great job of giving us the low down and taking us out in the field for hands on!
