FACTS: I ordered a simple cake three weeks out. Was told to pick up around 9 a.m. even though they open at 7 a.m. Arrived 9:15 a.m. Cake was not ready. There were other customers waiting as well. It was not necessary for them to explain to me how busy they were and had deliveries and such. Small business or no, orders need to be filled properly and on time. They told me my cake was not yet ready. They had not added any decorations. I needed the cake for an 11 a.m. party. I settled on taking my cake bare and plain. It's a good thing I had previously ordered some decorations that I could add on my own. The cake had good flavor. It turned out beautiful, thanks to my Amazon decorations that I added. I ordered from the app Too Good to Go, which allows businesses to sell day old products for less. They offer surprise boxes for around $6. They only had one person working up front who was taking an order for a cake when I walked in. Once she got off she was sweet and provided fast and friendly service. I ordered a confetti cake with white chocolate mousse frosting (over $80) for my parents' birthday -- they made it with amaretto and custard instead, which is what I originally changed it from within an hour of my order when realizing both of my parents don't care for custard and couldn't even enjoy their own cake. I called Baker Wee the first time simply to offer constructive feedback to someone in management, not to complain, and was told a manager would get back to me. At this point, I have now left at least a half dozen messages with 2 separate employees (Darian and Vanessa I believe) and have yet to hear from anyone in "management" as promised by both these individuals as well as sent in pictures of the half of the incorrect cake that was untouched per their request. This lack of professionalism turned a disappointing mistake into a truly frustrating experience. If you care about getting what you ordered or receiving any kind of customer service/basic respect, avoid this place. ***As my review history reflects, I really do not like leaving anything but 5 star reviews for any business, but this place really lowered the bar. Custom wedding cake was a hit! Came here and was met with helpful service to get a tasting for a cake I would need in two weeks time. They were able to prepare a tasting to-go that I picked up a couple days later. The amaretto was a clear favorite for both my wife and I. The second was the lemon and third was the pink champagne. We did not care for the others too much. So I'd recommend going for an amaretto cake. We went with the custard filling option with buttercream icing. It came out decorated better than expected with the provided flowers and picture I gave. It unfortunately did crack in the front and the back but wasn't a big deal to us. Some guests shared it was the best cake they had ever had. We ended up giving away the top portion of the cake simply because there was too much even though it was supposed to be for 20 or so people it could have gone for 30. I'd come back here if I needed another cake. The price was more than fair and the turnaround time was incredibly accommodating. I did manage to try the pumpkin chocolate chip cookie and I'd come here if I needed cookies baked as well. read more

I have been going to this place forever. They're located at 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road and when I was a senior at ASU west they were right across the street so I'd pop on occasion for a sandwich or a snack. You can do everything from order wedding cakes or cakes for pretty much any occasion you can think of and have a very nice catalog. They're also sandwiches and pastries and cupcakes and brownies and all sorts of stuff. The smell of Fresh Bakery hits you as soon as you come through the door and it is wonderful. The best part about this place is they have sugar-free pies that are absolutely fantastic and for a diabetic that is a major Plus I highly recommend Bakery anybody looking for great service nice people a very nice selection and more than anything else great tasting food at a reasonable price too. If you have seating and offer drop in bakery, you should really have a bathroom for customers or at the very least allow people to wash their hands/offer hand sanitizer. It was $200 which is a fair price bc it's huge but the decorating was so sloppy. I gave them a picture of a tiger, the words that I wanted it to say and creative freedom to do whatever they wanted with that. The letting literally was so smooshed together there were barely any spaces between the words. The lettering was very amateurish, I could have done it. The cake must have cracked at some point and they just put a fat line of icing down the middle to try to hide it. Like I said, the only redeemable quality was that it tasted good. Ate a very underwhelming pineapple upside down cake and turtle cake. Both were small treats, which I paid about $11 for both together. Both tasted like gussied up box mix. I needed a cake for my 35th birthday somewhat last minute. I went in on Thursday to talk to them about my needs. I wasn't looking for anything too fancy. Just a cake large enough to feed 20-30 people and I wanted it to be Oreo flavored. The woman behind the counter took detailed notes on the spelling of my name, type of cake, frosting choice and the ask to have Oreos throughout. I came back on Saturday to pick up the cake. The staff seemed a bit frazzled by another customer who did not have their cake ready in time. I can't speak to that as I had a pretty simple cake order (no special designs or patterns). My cake was ready and looked beautiful. My only gripe was the box they put it in. They mentioned not having boxes tall enough to fit the round cakes. They stapled the sides, but the lid was unable to close. I was able to get it to my destination okay, but it was more stressful than it needed to be had they invested in the proper boxes to transport those cakes. At the party itself, the cake was a hit! I took the cake out an hour ahead of the party and let it sit as instructed. The cake was moist and had the perfect consistency of flavors throughout. The slices were huge and we had half a cake left after giving some to everyone at the party, plus the staff at the venue. Overall, I am very pleased with how my cake turned out and would gladly use them again in the future. Based on other reviews, they may struggle a bit with custom orders, but for a basic cake, you can't go wrong with them! read more

I'm honestly in disbelief what had happened to me on July 16, 2022 at this Baker Wee. I had called and placed an order 3 weeks in advance prior to my sons 4th birthday to make sure they had more than enough time to prepare for that cake on that day to assure everything goes smoothly. I had used this company last year (2021) for my sons 3rd birthday and the cake looked and tasted phenomenal! I had ZERO issues coming back here this year with no doubt in my mind. But boy was I WRONG! Everything went backwards with this company. The owner does not show any sympathy or anything towards his mistakes. I had envisioned my cake to have more of a picture based background with a pop up of Spiderman coming out of the cake and not to be so Square like. I spent about $140 on a cake that was old, hard, dry not moist, had barely any chocolate mousse inside the cake, was not even ready when my mother went to go pick it up, they gave my mother a completely wrong cake and said the decorator had grabbed the wrong cake on mistake and they will be re doing it and then dropping it off at my sons birthday party venue... Thats a red flag already!!! No sympathy or anything still at this point while I'm on FaceTime with the owner as my mom is with him picking up the cake. He said he will bring the cake by 2:15pm at the venue we said ok. Then fast forward to 3:45pm the cake IS STILL NOT at the venue and we are on a time limit for renting out this venue and cake was supposed to start at 3:15pm. We were way behind, so I called baker wee and spoke to the owner and I said "we still don't have the cake here, where are you?" Then he tells me "Oh!! When did you need the cake by??" Then im thinking to myself Like are you kidding me!? You said at 2:15pm you'll be at the venue!?!? Then he told me he will hurry and be there in 15 minutes. We had to also pay for additional time for the venue since it went over limit ( Such an inconvenience) then the owner shows up and hands over the cake to my husband with (NO LID, NO COVER, NO CLOSURE, what so ever!!) So any germs or anything could have got on the cake. They put a 2D pop up of spider man that was lop sided and not even cut good everything looked rushed and slapped together.Then comes to eating it. NOBODY liked it, it was sooo hard the actual cake itself honestly tasted like it was in a freezer for about a week or two!!! So dry it was such a disappointment, everyone threw their slices away, the birthday boy didn't even want it after 1 bite. The frosting on the cake fell Part and was all mushy from MELTING ON delivery from Owner.I was better off going to Costco or Frys for my cake with how it turned out. Ruined everything and the whole day pretty much. Never ever coming back here again! I also even think they used a cake already made that was my flavor due to they did not have time to re make a new cake within 1-2 hours and designing it. Thats why it was frozen hard on the inside and tasted gross. They also mentioned when my mom first arrived the decorator had grabbed the wrong cake, then when my husband grabbed the cake from the owner at the venue he told my husband the decorator was in labor and thats why everything fell behind... everything about this place is a NO GO for me. Like I said the owner never even showed empathy or refund on their mistake or anything. So beware when you do business with Baker Wee. The owner had even called me on July 8th to see if I had wanted my sons cake July 9th as well due to our cake was on the board to be made. (This is after the fact I have called them 3-4 times prior to make sure everything is correct as far as the date, time, and theme.) This place does not seem organized, they don't listen well. They also seem to be under new management due to the owner now was not the same. The owner before was a woman and she was great! I wish I knew this before hand and I would have done a taste test at least, but like I said I just went with them because of how last years cake was. Never making that mistake again. I'll also attach photos of everything even the cake falling apart as we are cutting it due to the frosting being all mushy from melting on the way to the venue. I ordered the cake to be confetti and chocolate mousse filling and there was barely any confetti flakes or chocolate mousse!! This really was a big disappointment my guests all threw their pieces of cake away and I even threw the rest of the cake away at the venue. read more
