Prefacing with - I don't really eat Acai Bowls, it feels like just a thick smoothie with some…read moretoppings but I cannot deny that Juice Wave changed my perspective completely and I understand the hype. You can't really beat the refreshing taste of fresh fruit and nutty granola and butter. Especially when you can take this delectable bowl to the beach and just vibe in the sand. Wave Bowl $16 (14.50+1.50): 5/5 The bowl itself looks fairly small like, but deceptively so since I was stuffed after eating the whole thing for breakfast. It is higher cost than I would usually spend but I don't eat açaí bowls to know the average. Personally I really liked that the toppings were at the bottom and the bases were on top, not just because it was a beautiful display but because sometimes when it is the opposite, it can quickly get messy with toppings falling and dropping. The granola was crunchy and the add-on nut butter ($1.50) was plentiful and contrasted well to the fruits. You get some finely diced strawberries and bananas that were just the right amount of ripe, the bananas a little more firm but definitely preferred with the bases. The pineapple spirulina was favorite as it had a good sweetness to it. Honestly wished I could get a bowl with just this as a base and of course the natural blue color is just so unique. Coconut was coconutty and the pitaya was brightly colored, not too much distinctive taste on this one. Peak San Diego Experience

I'm a hater, I hate to admit it but I love un influencing these instagram/tik tok famous places. So…read moreoften they end up being a trend based on good marketing tactics which is amazing but good marketing doesn't mean good flavor and good service. In this case yes the bowl was OK was but was no better than the 3 other bowl places within a mile of this location. The wait was LONG as for many of the bowl places on this street but this one was extra long as in 45 minutes to an hour wait on off hours long. And of course with all these tik tok famous places the price was inflated. Based on taste alone I could have given this place 4 starts but the extra tik tok tax(inflated price just for being TikTok trendy) and extra wait time for the exact same thing you can get anywhere else rubbed me wrong so I'm going to have to leave this 3 star right here.

I started coming here more often and the service is always amazing and smoothies and bowls tasty!…read moreThe manager/owner of this place is a really sweet guy and prioritizes customers when it comes to the business. I can tell he tries to remember every face that comes in and he was kind enough to remedy the situation today when I was waiting for it and one of the other workers didn't know it was for me and put it in the fridge. I will continue coming back to support this business! They are consistent with their bowls and smoothies too which is great!

Everbowl -- Loma Portal, San Diego…read more Back in my natural habitat. Ordered the Large PB Everbowl because confidence was high and hunger was higher. Respectfully... the large fought back. Let's start with the good. Flavor? Solid. Peanut butter showed up like a starter, not a bench player. Ingredients were fresh, clean, and legit. Now the audit. The ratios on the large made mixing feel like a CrossFit session. I was excavating toppings only to discover a thick reserve of untouched açaí at the bottom. Structurally ambitious. Practically challenging. Professional recommendation: Order the medium. Better balance. Better blend. Less archaeological digging. The base leaned a little heavy for my personal preference -- not bad, just dense. Some people like that. I prefer flow. Now... the headline. The Staff!! 6/5. I don't hand those out casually. Friendly. Fast. Honest. Elite banter. The kind of service that makes you want to become a regular immediately. Would I go back? For the bowl? Yes. For the staff? Immediately. Rating 3.8 / 5 Açaí Berries Breakdown Taste: 4/5 Ingredients: 4/5 Ratios: 3/5 Service: 6/5 Vibes: 5/5 Current Status: Medium over Large Lesson Learned: Size matters. Mix wisely. -- The Açaí Guy

After my last review and the owner's response, I tried to get in contact with Ricardo to ensure…read morethere was clarity with what actually happened which was very different than what his employee told him. I called yesterday and they told me he had already left for the day, and I called this morning and after a bit I was able to get ahold of him. He kept interrupting me while I was trying to explain to him what actually happened. He was rude and condescending during the call. I explained to him that when I tried to exchange the mango smoothies for an actual agua Fresca that I had actually initially ordered and paid for, that his employee took them and refunded me before he explained to me that he was going to refund me. I was trying to exchange 2 of the 3 I had bought and paid for. But the employee took them and tossed them into the trash behind the counter before he told me he wouldn't sell me anything else and kicked me out. At the same time, my son was outside with the drink he decided to keep and we didn't try to exchange. When the employee kicked me out I told him I was trying to buy others, but he wouldn't let me, told me to get out, so I left and told him I'd be leaving a review. For some reason he refunded me all 3 aguas ($15). I never asked for any of that, he just did it. It seemed that the owner and the employee both had an issue with the fact that my son kept the drink that he had outside. I'm really not sure what they expected me to do after I was kicked out. Did they want me to take it from him and throw it away? This has all been a very strange set of interactions. Luckily Señor Mangos and Anakin's aren't too far away. I can head there and order sugarless agua frescas and have never had an issue the dozens of times we've been there, either with the service of the taste. They are delicious and always so kind. If I were you, I'd steer clear of this place and go elsewhere.

Just like a yogurt place pick a size pick a bade and add your toppings. I recommend to add the Leite Ninho, which is a milk powder. Sounds weird to add that but it's a good addition. Service is on par. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff is always on site. It can get busy at times and you might have to wait but it's well worth it. If time permits, we eat there but normally we take it to go. Great place to sit down and enjoy your açai.

This place is great!…read more The fruit toppings are all fresh and taste amazing. The granola is very nice, not super chunky adding texture throughout the experience with every bite. Made in house peanut butter is very nice as well with great flavor, it's smooth and mixes well with each bowl. My wife got the acai bowl I got the half and half because I wanted to see what this Brazilian super fruit, cupuacu, was all about. Has a lighter tropical refreshing flavor, so there is that option, but the acai also has that standard flavor if you want that more robust and pronounced flavor profile. Both very delicious though. We also got a cold brew with the cold foam. Great flavor from the coffee itself. Nice and bright flavor with some sweetness from the cold foam, very well balanced. The service was amazing too, very kind very friendly, and super knowledgeable about their product. We ate inside and they walked out and did a table touch and even brought us some napkins for the table. The decor and vibes was very relaxing and the building was well lit. Prices are also great, bowls include any or all the toppings that they have available. You pick your side, your base then you can build your own or pick from some of their premade builds. We got two medium size bowls, and a cold brew with cold foam, a little over 40 dollars after a 22% tip.
