I had a retaining wall…read moreI was going to be having removed and sloped but in order to do so, I had to remove trees which sat in the middle of it on the top. Joe was very prompt in responding to my inquiry and got me on his schedule as quickly as he could. We agreed to process the request the third or fourth week of August. He gave me an excellent quote! As always, Joe did well to come out and examine the trees himself and described his plan on how he wanted to fell the trees. He ended up having some other things come up but still managed to keep us in the same time frame as agreed upon. He felled a cluster of about 5-6 trees grouped together. These tree were close to the road and had one direction they could fall in a space between my house and my pool deck. He felled this group of trees in less than three hours (far quicker than I expected) and he did so on a windy day! We agreed to do the clean up and removal of the trees ourselves, but he still helped cut up some of the trunks before he left. Joe also re-checked some trees he had previous concerns about and explained the signs I should watch for so they don't become a further issue. I will always call Joe first for any of my tree needs. He is professional, responsive, willing to educate you, and reliable. I highly recommend him for anyone else with tree needs that are within the area he covers here in Vermont. Joe's first and foremost concern is always safety for the people and structures that dwell on job sites.

We had DJ's come in Fall 2024 to remove two huge 60+ foot oak trees at each front corner of our…read moreproperty. First to say their quote was very reasonable and in line with other local tree services. What we were delighted to see is that DJ's has massive equipment to make the tree removal fast and the trees are hoisted down in huge pieces. Two large oaks were gone in under 2 hours and they cleaned our yard and driveway thoroughly. They ground down and removed both stumps and left the soil clean and perfectly leveled. There was no debris, not a hint they'd even been here nor had the oak trees either! The 6+ man crew was amazing to watch. They worked as a very coordinated team and things went so fast and smoothly. We had them come back March 2025 after getting a very fair quote again to remove 3 large Pines and an even larger oak tree near our house in backyard. I was concerned about heavy equipment damage on our new driveway since they'd have to use it for this job, but, they went all the way to protect our driveway using rubber mats and wood timbers to distribute the massive weight better to avoid any "dents" in the asphalt. This job went so perfect as well and our driveway was not damaged at all. Zero issues. DJ's did an amazing job for us again. We will have them back for a 3rd job at some point next year to remove some messy Pine trees.
