Caleb and his team at From the Ground Up did an outstanding job removing 10 large pine trees from…read moreour property, many of which were between 70 and 100 feet tall. Several of the trees were located near our home, making the job even more challenging. From the beginning, Caleb demonstrated professionalism, experience, and excellent communication. One thing that really stood out to me was his honesty and transparency throughout the project. We have a playset in our backyard that could not be moved, and one of the trees had a widow maker hanging above it. Before starting the work, Caleb thoroughly assessed the situation and clearly explained the potential risks, including the possibility of damage if the limb were to fall. I appreciated that he took the time to discuss these concerns with us beforehand rather than leaving anything to chance or surprising us later. That level of communication speaks volumes about his integrity and confidence in his abilities. He wasn't afraid to address a difficult situation head-on, and his skill operating the equipment was impressive to watch. The entire crew worked efficiently, safely, and respectfully around our property. Despite the size and complexity of the job, everything was handled with precision and care. It's not often you find a company that combines expertise, honesty, and customer service the way Caleb and his team do. If you're looking for a tree service company you can trust, I highly recommend Caleb and the team at From the Ground Up. We couldn't be happier with the results.

Only then was I informed they'd be late and wouldn't be able to do the work, despite a 3-hour window clearly set in advance. This was for an estate property with a looming deadline and an appraiser scheduled. When I pointed out how disruptive the lack of communication was, I was met with a snide remark telling me to "give them a call" when I couldn't find anyone else -- and that they'd charge me an extra $100 for a rush job. Completely unprofessional. If you want reliability, respect, and basic customer courtesy, look elsewhere. Wolfe Landscaping made it very clear how they treat their clients.

I recently had some older 60ft trees that were a danger to the house and beyond my comfort level for felling due to tight yard constraints. Rene had great availability, was extremely considerate of the yard, house & gardens, and took the time to ensure that I understood his approach to each problem tree. Rene dropped each tree right on target, no damage to anything, and ensured everything was done right. I learned a lot from working with him and was extremely satisfied with his approach. First to say their quote was very reasonable and in line with other local tree services. What we were delighted to see is that DJ's has massive equipment to make the tree removal fast and the trees are hoisted down in huge pieces. Two large oaks were gone in under 2 hours and they cleaned our yard and driveway thoroughly. They ground down and removed both stumps and left the soil clean and perfectly leveled. There was no debris, not a hint they'd even been here nor had the oak trees either! The 6+ man crew was amazing to watch. They worked as a very coordinated team and things went so fast and smoothly. We had them come back March 2025 after getting a very fair quote again to remove 3 large Pines and an even larger oak tree near our house in backyard. I was concerned about heavy equipment damage on our new driveway since they'd have to use it for this job, but, they went all the way to protect our driveway using rubber mats and wood timbers to distribute the massive weight better to avoid any "dents" in the asphalt. This job went so perfect as well and our driveway was not damaged at all. Zero issues. DJ's did an amazing job for us again. We will have them back for a 3rd job at some point next year to remove some messy Pine trees. I can't say enough about how pleased we've been using DJ's Tree Service and I highly recommend using them.
