However, on two…read moreoccasions when she was on maternity leave, I saw another stylist who severely damaged my hair. The first time, my hair began breaking and thinning. I assumed it was due to stress or health and spent years trying to fix it--changing products, routines, and habits. Eventually, my hair recovered. After a recent color appointment with the same stylist, the same thing happened. My hair became brittle and started breaking off mid-shaft in large amounts. Every time I washed or brushed it, I lost a significant amount of hair. I contacted the salon to ask what caused it and what I should do. I was told to add a bond builder at my next appointment, avoid heat styling, and stay out of pools. There was no acknowledgment of a possible issue with the service and no resolution offered. Another stylist reviewed photos and said the likely cause was bleach applied through previously processed hair instead of just the regrowth, which can lead to breakage. I will not be returning.

I wish I lived here because she would be my go to every time! It was honestly like getting waxed by my best friend. We talked and laughed thought the entire appt (which went so fast)! Alison has been my gal and she's awesome. We usually just do a monthly touch up on my side shave (husband does one in between cause my hair grows so fast and I can't afford going there THAT many times lol), but I've been branching out more recently and we've started to do little designs in the shave and I recently added some red to the front for funsies. I just shoot her a text a few days before I'm ready to come in and she has no trouble fitting me in. The NE location is convenient as well because I can just pop over real easily during lunch or after work. I never thought I'd be the girl who went to the salon, but for this one at least I'm glad to have found a chill and laid back place! Hydrafacials are notoriously super spendy and I've only had one before, so admittedly my expectations were high. The space is darling! Very calming and peaceful decor. Check in was easy. I was surprised to see the service beds are not in separate rooms but just separated by curtains - this didn't affect the experience until the end when another client was talking loudly next to me. My esti was very kind - she asked me about my current routine and I walked through what I was using. Some of her suggestions surprised me, as they differed from what my dermatologist had recommended, but appreciated her input. The treatment itself was good - I love seeing how much gunk the hydrafacial pulls out! I was a bit bummed that my facial didn't include neck or décolletage - other facials I've gotten at other spaces have done those as part of the facial. Perhaps that's just not included with a hydrafacial? As the most expensive offering though, it was a bit of a bummer. I do feel it helped hydrate and cleanse my face, but am not sure if I would come back soon for that particular treatment. I'd consider trying one of their more affordable mini or regular facials in the future though!

I have been with EWC for almost 10 years and I've never had any major issues worth complaining…read moreabout. I've been with a few different locations, Woodbury, Vadnais Heights, Eagan and now with Roseville. My most recent encounter was with the Manager of the Roseville location, I did not get her name, nor did she tell me her name when I asked for the manager (Phone interaction). I had a pass that was for 9 waxes, and then they had a promotion going on two months ago (June) for the unlimited pass. This is what I really do not like about EWC, they push the front staff to up sale so they will withhold important information just to make the sale, or mislead you to make the sale. I was advised, my unlimited pass would start after I finished my current pass, so I went ahead with the purchase. I finally finished my last wax for my 9-pass last weekend 8/16. When I asked the front staff when my new pass would start the gave me a date of Aug 20. It didn't make sense to me, since I wouldn't be in for at least another 3 weeks, so I'm basically losing a month. The manager wasn't in so then I called later on in the week. When I call the manager told me the pass starts when I bought it. Again, this is not what I was told. She then continued to tell me my 9-wax pass was completed in June when I bought the unlimited pass, which was not accurate. So, that tells me she really didn't look at my account before trying to get assist me and really just wanted to get me off the phone. She then said that I was correct and my last visit was 8/16 so she'll change my new pass to start 8/17. Again, how is this fair to me that I would be losing a month? Had I known it was going to start the day I made the purchase I wouldn't purchase the pass until I needed it. She then put me on hold and came back and said it was company policy that they couldn't change the start date, but she was going to do it this one time for me (as if it was my fault that they did a poor job providing the proper information). Then she continued to tell me that my pass for the 9 visit never expires and that I could've saved it and started using my unlimited pass right away. She did not like that I pushed back and stated that it should've been communicated to me at the time of the purchase. It was just upsetting for me because there was no accountability taken and she basically blamed me and acted like she was doing me a favor for the misinformation given. I've heard numerous stories from esthetician about how terrible the leadership and the management is with the company. I truly feel bad for them. I loved every esthetician that I had, I switched locations just to follow certain esthetician. This is really just more information to get all the details before making any purchases, the front will be pushy but that's because they have to be.

She is so personable and professional and waxes efficiently. The wax they use is great and hurts much less than other waxes.
