I had wanted to get my brows done for more than a year, but the price was a bit more than I could justify, and I just couldn't find anyone I felt 100% comfortable with. I heard about microblading this summer, and found Ava on Yelp. Her photos were great. I reached out on Facebook and she responded quickly to all my questions. It took a few weeks before I finally decided to book. I'M SO GLAD I DID!!! I knew I was in good hands when she started sharpening the pencil to mark out my forehead. She must have spent two minutes on it and got it exactly how she wanted it before preceding. EXACTLY the attention to detail you want from someone who's about to make permanent marks on your face! She spent a good 30 or 45 minutes marking out the eyebrows, checking multiple times that it was symmetrical and that the shape was exactly what I wanted. Ava was also really personable, which made a big difference for me because of my nervousness. It was obvious that she really heard and understood my concerns. I was never blown off. Ava is a refreshing mix of humility and expertise. My body processed the numbing cream quickly, so she had to reapply multiple times. I also bled more than most, so she took extra care to make sure the pigment took and wasn't immediately washed out. She carefully positioned and prepared for each stroke so that it would be *just right*. At the end, she continued making minor improvements even after I was satisfied. She was going to give me a perfect job, and that was that. And boy did she! I couldn't be happier. I felt like a model when I woke up this morning :) And I've been getting compliments left and right. This is my first full day with my new brows, and I find I don't feel compelled to put on as much of my other makeup, so it's saving me even more time than I expected :) I have informed my husband that we are going to budget for microblading for THE REST OF MY LIFE, and Ava will be the person to do it each time. I found Ava's work on yelp after doing many Google searches for microblading in the twin cities. Not only were the pictures of her previous work amazing but so were her prices. Most of the other places I looked at were $700+ -__-....Ava didn't have many reviews but the ones she had were realllllly good, I even reached out to previous customers and months later I was told their brows held up well they would still highly recommend her work. She was very friendly, took her time, and made me feel comfortable. I adjusted the shape I wanted twice and she was patient and made helpful suggestions! Pain scale was 2-3 out of 10... Very low. She uses a numbing cream and my brows only bruised for about an hour afterward (felt bruised but didn't look bruised). I am waiting for the scabbing and healing process to begin now... Right now it's three days after my initial app and it's recommended I get a touch up in two months, then it should only be yearly maintenance after that! Ava is amazing, the best at doing eyelash extensions I have ever encountered since 2012, when I first started getting them. She really takes her time, and the outcome is beautiful! Going to previous salons, the eyelashes shed within a week or two, when Ava did mine they didn't shed until over 3 1/2 weeks. She is very knowledgeable about eyelash extensions and what works best for your lashes. Her prices are also reasonable for the amazing work she does. She even ordered longer ones for me because I like a lot of volume and glamorous lashes. She makes her studio very comfortable with a reclining chair, soothing music, you can fall asleep. Ava is very flexible with her schedule, which is nice if you need a later appointment. I can't believe I haven't found her sooner, I will never go to anyone else to do eyelashes again!!!! I saw Ava almost a year ago I got my eyebrows done on 3/5/2017 and I waited a longer than 6 weeks to get my retouch, I ended waiting till 6/2/2017 to get them retouched. My eyebrows have been holding up very well I am so happy I invested this money getting my eyebrows microbladed. If anyone is on the fence just do it invest your money in this, it's so easy to get up in the morning and not have to fill in my brows it saves me so much time. Ava is very professional, sweet, knowledgeable and told me when I got my eyebrows done and we don't want your eyebrows to look fake you want them to be natural looking, so I still have the option to fill them in if I want. I just left Ava's and she did an amazing job on my eyebrows she took lots of time so we could get the right look aka size and shape for my face. She measures everything to make sure brows are symmetrical and shapes them up before she gets started. I am really happy with the results! It didn't hurt and I cannot believe how amazing they look! We took the brow up a little bit because mine were too low on my face the way I would draw them everyday. And I look more youthful without a harsh pencil line over my eyes.
