First few times were pain-free but now that I'm +/- 100 waxes in, the sting is back. Sometimes I pre-book. Sometimes I'm a walk-in. No matter which location I visit, everyone is friendly. I had a longtime girl at CR, but she moved away. It was nice to have a rapport and she knew about products I've tried and which ones broke my out in a rash. For new girls, there is a consult on what you want done, what shape (eyebrows) are you looking for. The only other service I've had was armpit waxing. That was weird to grow out the hairs long enough. Didn't hurt as much as the face though. I can't speak for other services. I'm a visual person so I like to take pictures of where I'm planning a review. I asked the gal if I could take a picture of her room and she said no. Which is fine I guess, just left me disappointed because I wanted to share it with you here. Bummer. Rooms are air conditioned so that might be a bit chilly in the nether regions. Leather apolstered tables with paper liner to lay on... like at the doctor office, but longer to put your feet up. Pillow for head. Products set out in containers on work counter. Everything looks to be disposable and one time use. Never seen them actually clean the room but looks brand new when I'm brought back. Restrooms on site in the clinical hallway. Products on display in lobby where you can purchase if used on you that day. You can buy services a la carte for the day, or you can buy a package of services like Buy 9, Get 3 free. Your CC gets charged in 3 or so payments and that makes checkout very easy because you prepaid for them. Just need to leave a tip in cash or say to charge your CC on file.

There is a bathroom through the first glass door, just ask the receptionist! The woman who did my wax did not introduce herself but she was nice. We walked into the room and she told me to get undressed from the waist down. Other places I have gone, step out of the room and then come back. So this felt a little weird getting undressed in front of her, but she's going to wax my lady bits sooooo I guess who cares? Hahaha She also asked if I had gotten a Brazilian before and asked where. When I told her she said kind of judgy "oh well I've never heard of them." That place is also highly rated! But I decided to try a new, since this is closer to my home. The wax was a bit too warm for my liking but did not burn. You can tell they do these all day because it went quick! From the time I went back to the time I was done with a full Brazilian plus butt strips- about 10 minutes! When I got home, I noticed there was a little wax that had been left behind, nothing I couldn't take care of. The price was also a little more than I am used to. They do have "packages" you can purchase though to make it a bit cheaper. Overall, I would use their services again. They have many services. Definitely worth checking out.

I was not aware of what I was getting or what was going on my skin. The massage was ok, but the spa music was playing on Sarah's phone and her phone kept buzzing, interrupting the music...not the most professional. I also did not appreciate her making comments about my body. I get it might be a cultural thing but saying I am "so skinny! You must be less than XXX pounds!" Is absolutely not ok and very triggering. So yes, I am open to trying their other location but I will not be going back to see Sarah.

Not only did she chop the front of my hair off making my inverted bob a regular bob, She absolutely butchered the layering. This then led to both of them needing to heat up their wax which took up more time too as the other esthetician requested some of my esthetician's wax while I awkwardly stood in the corner of the room waiting to undress. They both were very kind but it was really a let down because I was on a tight schedule today and the whole appointment took 30 minutes when it typically should take 10-15. ABOUT SERVICE: I have gotten a brazilian multiple times before at other places and have done so much research on how it is done, and the way it was being done to me was incredibly painful and caused irritation. Not only was the wax being applied while not melted enough, the esthetician was spreading the wax in all directions and lifting the stick which tugged and caused a lot of discomfort for me. She then applied a strip and pulled in all directions instead of against the grain. This caused wax to continue to stick onto my skin where she repeatedly tried to use the strip to stick and pull off wax (this caused major discomfort to me skin even after I left). After the waxing she used tweezers to get majority of the leftover hair (thankfully), but then proceeded to just put powder on my skin and said I was done. I got home with wax still sticky on my skin and discomfort when urinating and wiping even hours after the appointment. This would have been a completely different story if it was one or the other, but being late and doing an improper service really bummed me out and I hope my skin heals soon. I just really wanted good service and hope people see this and do some more research before committing!

She's also multitalented and offers a number of services but you cannot see her without getting a Russian manicure! no one in the Merced area offers this besides her. Being from a bigger city originally, I was nervous I wouldn't find someone but Melinda is the best. I love how my cuticles look and get compliments all the time on my manicures!
