After waiting in line at B-Bops for 15 minutes a worker came out and put a cone in front of my car and said that passenger pick up was closed and proceeded to tell not only me but 4 cars behind mine they had to back out of the line with the driver side pick up completely packed to where you couldn't get out of the line. When I asked the worker why they were closing it she proceeded to say it was because "someone was leaving soon." Very unprofessional and will not be returning. read more

Still standing in line 20 mins after I ordered literal chili cheese fries. I can see them sitting in the outgoing orders. Not going to even bother eating them at this point. After Al sold the place and they did this double drive through BS, these imbeciles can't manage both drive thrus plus the walk up window. Almost went through the window at the extremely rude chick at the window that took my order because I asked "coke or Pepsi products?" And she said "ok." with a clear look of distaste and annoyance. Stopped at BPop's on the way home from work. The lady who took my order was super nice and accommodating. When I got my food, and drove off I reached I. To grab some fries and they were cold, when I arrived home with the burgers they were freezing cold, the cheese wasn't even melted. Very disappointed considering I spent $17.00 for two meals. This place is about a 3.5, they are just alright to me. Nothing negative to say about them, but when I lived in Des Moines I really never craved or came here often for a burger in fries, just once in awhile when I was close by to one of their several locations. So they have a unique order outside style place, it does feel different than most places and it is nice that they have a fun concept. The food seems made to order so it may take a little longer than some fast food joints. I do like that you can get something pretty fresh food here. They do have outdoor seating available. The service is pretty good as well. As for the food I always got the burger and fries, they hit the spot but the food wasn't really isn't up their with other premier burger and fries that I have had, they have an okay flavor on each item but nothing to make it something to rave about. just visited this b-bops and was greeted with the worst customer experience. Not only were the employees rude but the food was messed up. I didn't get to finish my order because the cashier cut me off & so I had to go to the window to continue my order because I was told the order total before she asked if that was all. Then when I got to the window and the cashiers were rude & disrespectful. They were mad that i ordered more but they cut me off before I could complete my order. They didn't give us our food correctly, we asked for no onions & no pickles and still got them??? What if they were allergic? Also when you pay more for a bacon cheeseburger but don't get cheese & the bacon. I feel utterly scammed. read more

This place excels in efficiency. If you feel like you need to stare at the menu, They have a walkup that you can order through to. The food is amazing. Let me first say I have been to various B-Bops in Iowa and eaten almost every item from their menu. This location is no different than their other locations, food made fresh and delicious. Their staff is always friendly here and the wait is not long. For those who do not know what B-Bops is, it is a classic made and tasting burger. It is higher quality than a fast food burger, but not necessarily a gourmet restaurant burger. I have tried their standard burgers and also Chicken, fish, and pork ones. Went to B Bops last evening on the way home from work. I noticed the long line, very hungry, so I decided to tough it out. It took almost 15 minutes from the time I pulled in, to the time I got to the window. The man who took my order said NOTHING about it only being cash this evening. Had he done so, I would have ordered something else as I only had $9.00 and change on me. When I got to the window, I gave him my card only to have him say, "Oh, sorry, didn't they tell you? It's cash only tonight." I mean, he was the same person who took my order and he said nothing about it until after I wasted so much time in the queue. I told him I only had $9.00, and not only did he not give me my order (understandable though it would have kept me coming back), but he didn't even offer to let me order something cheaper. Second time in a month I've waited for over 20mins in line, majority of the time was just waiting to get to the window. I get to the window and we were never even acknowledged, he made our drinks and left them on the window sill, he was to busy texting on his phone then left the window to talk to someone that wasn't there to work. F.Y.I. - there is usually a coupon for buy one get one free in the newspaper. This is the place you pick up a quick casual dinner and head for home with your comfort food. They are known for their chili, but more so for their burgers. There are tenderloin and chicken sandwiches, shakes, fish, chicken nuggets, and more. Personally, I really love the burgers. The tenderloins aren't bad either; however, lately they've been over fried causing them to be dry (not so good). Hoping they go back to the way they use to make them. One of the best burger places in this area. When you're in the mood of "I want to get some good burgers but also want my intestines to explode later" THIS IS THE PLACE. When I went I got the special pleasure of seeing a drug deal right outside the establishment. But the food is just like your average B-Bops and after a long day of hunting bears in down town Des Moines I'm proud to get a juicy burger at B-Bops. Had I visited the restroom before eating here I NEVER would have eaten at this place! It was absolutely THE filthiest public restroom I have ever witnessed. I could not cross the threshold of it before I quickly turned around nearly gagging. I felt I really needed to bring this to the manger's attention.
