Well done! I can't say enough about B & W Auto Body repair. Our Toyota 4Runner was hit snd the back fender needed repaired. Charlie Bourne and his crew took care of everything from dealing with the insurance company to promptly fixing the fender, my entire experience was a breeze. I hardly recognized the vehicle when I picked it up. B & W cleaned and polished my car to make it look like new. Thank you to all the fine folks at B & W Auto Body Repair! Terrible service. I was rear ended last week and needed a new muffler, tailpipe, bumper, and a couple small things fixed. Called them and told them about the situation and they said to email them with the details and pictures of everything so we did. It's been several days and still have not heard anything back even after multiple calls to them. The second time we called (yesterday) they said they "haven't gotten around to looking at emails but will soon and give you a call back later this afternoon." They never called. I had a truly wonderful experience here! Charlie and his team treated me so kindly right from the start, even staying a few minutes late to get my estimate finished up. He got my car in for a repair quickly and it was finished the next day! He even offered to take it in for a state inspection for me, which was a truly above and beyond offer that made my life a million times easier. I got in my car to leave and noticed they had even vacuumed and cleaned it up on the inside for me, and filled my tires! A truly above and beyond business with incredible, hardworking, kind people. They are INCREDIBLE! I was in between them and another auto body repair shop, and I'm extremely happy that I chose B&W auto body repair shop! First of all, Charlie was amazing because he explained in detail how they were going to repair my car. This gave me a lot of confidence to leave my car with them. They were also very conscious and nice to repair my car on time. I had to drive home a week after I had time to drop off my car and they made sure that I would have my car, like new, before I had to drive home. In more detail, my car had a big dent in the right back side of my car (before the bumper), caused from someone backing up and crashing into my car. The damage was pretty awful but they made it look perfectly new. It looks as if nothing happened to my car. No small imperfections and the color matches!! I highly recommend them! read more

This auto body shop is down the street from my house and my biggest regret was not stopping in sooner. It was on the later side one day after work (past 7p or so) and the office door was open with the light on, so I thought, I'm finally going to go in and see what may be possible -- I had a hit and run with my car in San Francisco YEARS ago and never bothered to clean it up. Let's just say, the damage on my car definitely made it look like a city vehicle. I told Charlie I had a certain budget to spend to clean up the blemish and he completely exceeded my expectations with the job he did. Blown away. So grateful!! Thank you Charlie!! Charlie, the business owner, has been fixing cars for 35 years and he knows his stuff inside and out. He was trustworthy and also just a delightful person to chat with. His team repainted the bumper and the hatchback of my 2013 Toyota Prius along with a buff, wax, and touch up on the door. My car, which looked pretty sad going in, is SEAMLESS. I feel like I have a new car. His pricing was super, DUPER fair for the work they did, which includes a loaner car. I really can't recommend B&W auto body enough. It feels funny to say that getting my car fixed was a lovely experience, but it truly was. read more

Had a great experience here! The owner was honest and extremely personable. I dented my wife's bumper and instead of trying to have me replace the whole thing, he told me it could be fixed. After accident, Charlie came to my home (a plus), did his inspection and had estimate to me that night (January 11, 2022). He ordered parts and when they arrived came to my home to get car (another plus) around end of January. Was told it would take about 6 weeks to do. Nope. Needed more parts and car sat outside in yard for around two months. Went to see Charlie to get update.... needed about three more weeks. Nope. Another month passed. Anyway, after excuse after excuse, Charlie stopped talking to me and put his son, Cody, in charge of this disaster. Cody seemed very nice and concerned about the time my car was taken to be completed. Making a long story end, my car is still in shop (7 or so months), no estimate when I can get it back and extremely difficult to contact to get update. I hate to resort to legal maneuvers but may have too. Can't comment on quality of work but will update if and when I get my car back. read more

After going to 3 other body shops in my search for the right shop for installation of aftermarket rear fenders, I ended up here, largely due to positive Yelp reviews. Charlie and Tami are great and honest people, and were communicative and straightforward throughout the process. They are not the cheapest out there, but if you care about your car, take it here - I can guarantee it will be done right. They also went the extra mile and even had someone meet me when they were closed to pick up the car, since I was coming from out of town. Pete, the fiberglass and self-proclaimed "special projects guy" is EXTREMELY experienced, and I feel honored to have had him work on my car. He worked his magic over the course of a few days on what turned out to be a poor quality set of fenders, and essentially custom fit them to my car. Words cannot describe the level of worksmanship he put into my car. He is also an awesome person, and I feel like I made a new friend in meeting him. Bottom line - these people treated me like family, and I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I have used B&W twice now. The first time I was satisfied with the repair and service, with the exception of an aftermarket light housing that did not sit correctly. My husband replaced it with the original housing that was not damaged in the accident. The second experience was terrible. They had my car for 4.5 weeks. When I would call for an update the front office staff never had an idea of what was going on with my car. There were delays due to asking insurance for OEM parts, although many parts were clearly replaced with cheap-looking and feeling aftermarket parts that do not match the other side of my car. A front trim piece that was not damaged in the accident (I compared pictures) was scraped up when it was put back on. Black adhesive was dripped onto my car seat. The paint job looks nice, but overall the repair is not what I expected. The most frustrating part was being told 3 separate times that the car would be ready, and upon making arrangements to pick up the car, or worse after arriving, it wasn't. First was a missing part, the second and third times were mechanical issues that were discovered while one or both of us were waiting for hours in their cold waiting room. Fortunately one of the times after waiting two hours, my husband got a ride home from a kind customer, saving me an hour + round trip to pick him up. The owner offered one weak apology, saying he was busy and stressed. I hope to not need auto repair in the future, but if I do, I will not be going back here! read more

Don't waste your time going to other places in town because this is the place to go. Charlie and his team genuinely care about their work and their customers. I needed body work done on my door and Charlie explained to me all the levels of how it could be repaired and gave me options. He gave me a more than reasonable price for the work he and his team did and I am very, very grateful. Their work surpassed my expectations ten fold. When I drove away I noticed my car was cleaned inside and out and smelling fresh! I will not go to any other body shop from now on. Charlie and his crew were wonderful. He replaced my front bumper for less than I was quoted elsewhere and was able to save me money by salvaging my headlight instead of replacing it. He also paid for me to rent a car, because my insurance didn't cover it and his loaner car (which he lets customers use free of charge) was already being used. Once they ordered the parts they needed, they got it all done quickly. He was respectful of the timeframe I said I needed him to abide by. The only aspect that was less than perfect is that the paint they used isn't an exact match for my car, but it was close enough. For the price, I didn't complain. I picked this place to do some bodywork on my truck based on favorable online reviews. They did a great job for me. First, when I told them I had a lower bid on the body work from another shop, the beat the other shop's price. Second, I had a camper on the bed of the truck which had to be removed in order to do the body work, and the helped me upload and reload the camper (a task which I find pretty difficult). Third, the body work itself was very good. These people give me the impression of a business run by honest, skilled, and hard working people. I highly recommend them. read more

B&W was nothing but wonderful and helpful in a situation that has been stressful and continues to remain unresolved. After another motorist hit my car, I have been fighting with her horrible insurance company for two weeks to try to resolve the claim. Initially the agent told me the car was not totaled, so I dropped it at B&W for repairs. The owner Charlie was so warm and receptive, and immediately concerned for my well-being after the accident. I was relieved to be receiving such great service after dealing with terrible customer service from the insurance agency for the week prior! The insurance agent then called and told me he read the claim wrong and my car had been totaled the whole time, at which point Charlie called me to let me know that the insurance estimate was off by a whopping $4000, and that was just from their initial observation of the car. Charlie assured me that it was better that my car was totaled as it had frame damage, and he made every effort to store my car until I could come by and remove my belongings and retrieve the tags. After reading other positive reviews of B&W, I can attest that they truly are wonderful, honest, and caring, and I will definitely be returning to them in the future if I ever need auto body repairs done! read more

We have a brand new car that got banged up at a local shopping center while it was parked. We knew of B&W from other satisfied customers so we called them they picked up our car (we live around 30 minutes away), repaired the car and they delivered the car back to us. By the way, we had a recall on our car and they took care of that for us too. When they delivered the car they made sure there were no smokers driving the car and the repair job looks great. Recently had to have some work done on my son's 2008 BMW 328i. He is a student at UVA and went to a few shops for quotes. The shops he and I went to were not really interested in doing the work and said "there is not enough work here for us to make any money" or they said "give us a few weeks and come back when we are slower" or they quoted us an enormous price for the work. I went on the BMW forums to ask for advice and about 10 forum members immediately told us to only go to B & W Auto Body. Wow, they were so right. Price was the best we were quoted, quality of the work was exceptional and we had the car back in 6 days! I live in Nashville TN. This is by far the best auto body shop in Charlottesville, maybe even Virginia (or the world!)! We have been to B&W an embarrassing amount of times (don't ask) but every time one of our cars has been damaged, Charlie and the workers outdo themselves. Charlie refuses to let a car leave his shop in anything less then perfect condition of repair. He will go to bat for you with insurance companies and will keep the car until it is done right. If you trust him and his team, your car will come back looking better then before it got damaged.
