Without hesitation, our first and only call was to Dyno as we have had AC and heat serviced by them before. They answered and had a tech arrive within a half hour, where he concurred that the water tank needed to be replaced and could be done the following day. This tech took the time to drain the tank so we did not have any further issues with it. The following day, the tech showed up as scheduled with the new water tank. As issues sometimes do happen with this type of work, the owner Mike showed up to help work the problem. I watched as they worked diligently to figure out the problem and am happy to report that my family does not have to take cold showers tonight -- thanks to Mike and the techs at Dyno. They waited until my wife arrived home to discuss with us the importance of maintenance but did not pressure us in any way to make additional purchases or scheduled service. Dyno is the only company our family trusts to handle our HVAC needs to keep us cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

After calling around with no luck, we reached out to Dyno Heating and Cooling, and they were incredible from start to finish. Kristy, the receptionist, was so helpful and reassuring when we called in our panic. She quickly arranged for Mike to come out to help us and made the whole process stress-free. Mike arrived at our house within 45 minutes of our late-night call (at 10:30 pm!). Despite not having worked with us before, he treated us like loyal customers. He quickly diagnosed the problem, replaced the broken part, and even stayed an extra 20 minutes to make sure everything was running perfectly before leaving. The service was professional, fast, and extremely reasonably priced--especially for an emergency call so late at night. Both Kristy and Mike went above and beyond to take care of us. We highly recommend Dyno Heating and Cooling and will absolutely be calling them again for any future heating or cooling needs. Thank you for turning a stressful situation into a great experience!

When I saw a negative Yelp comment (about clean up), I couldn't have imagined how easy it would be…read moreto call the contractor to address anything minor like that. The comment made me a bit nervous to settle a contract -- and I told Dave to please pay attention to the wiring in the attic (which was my concern). After the AMAZING experience my family had with KinTech, I wanted to leave my first-ever comment on Yelp for Dave and his company. I am not an easy customer :). KinTech is a local Long Island company and its service (both its job and customer service) felt local/neighborly. When Dave (the somewhat hard-to-believe soft-voiced manager I had talked to on the phone) stopped by for the estimate visit, my wife and I were taken aback positively for his relaxed, friendly dealing (he had a new kind of tea with us :), while sharing details and options). In response to our situation of having already dumped too much money on prior upgrades, he found an affordable configuration for our transition from baseboard heating only to central heating/cooling, including the latest tech and conveniences. But our 5 stars are not just for the quality of mateiral and work and the professionalism of the people who came in our house (Dave sent the most friendly pair of men we've had working in the house). Dave is different. Dave communicated in the most professional and friendly way among maybe 20 contractors we've worked with in the past decade on Long Island as home owners (he reminded us of the genteel South, without the occasional lack of experience with diverse customers LOL). We didn't sense any dishonesty (very common in most home repair/service businesses esp. up here in New York) and that made us very comfortable with Dave. He did ask for a few extra days when he had to juggle different projects, including his gramdma's house that needed urgent attention. But he didn't play games with us, didn't treat us like however the "market demand tells" (as one contractor blurted out recently), and he LISTENED. This guy is something. Give him a chance, and if the project at our home was an exception, share a different perspective. The project was finished on time, pitch perfect, and Dave said he's even willing to come back and calibrate the air flow and add an extra vent. We were already surprised when he sent his guys to double check and clean up. So, I guess customers should communicate our demands and give hard working people a chance to rectify small things after they do all the major and difficult work right (it's a different matter if someone messes up major things or uses a generally problematic approach). As a Long Islander, it makes me proud to see people like this reflect our culture -- not the weirdos especially of the older generation who take customers for granted (I've come across a bit too many of those, including among the younger business owners). I would love to see KinTech grow and to maintain the very, very, very friendly professionalism that Dave has established. KinTech and Dave and the two friendly guys all get 5 stars and a big invisible smiley for the phenomenal job in December 2021.

So I called Soundview & requested that a tech come down to look at a new thermostat I was looking to install. They sent Justin. He could not have been nicer, helpful & informative. He told me that the A/C unit I have does not require a multi stage thermostat & as such, I can return it to Walmart saving me $270. He also explained that the unit though not top of the line, was a good reliable unit that only requires the thermostat I already have. Lastly, Soundview was a pleasure to work with, Justin showed up on time & as a result, they will be my "go to" company for all ongoing A/C requirements. I highly recommend them!! J.F Smithtown

And when you subtract out the unlicensed, uninsured people from your list your choices are minimal. I wanted to replace our thermostat after a slight remodel. The old one was dingy and couldn't be salvaged. While we were at it we decided to add WiFi connectivity beacuse, well we don't really have a true need for that but since a thermostat was only a few dollars more i figured, why not. After examining the current thermostat and the wiring at the HVAC unit i was convinced the the job was beyond my skill level. Having seen Soundview shop every day on the way to the gym an knowing a couple of them work out in the same gym, I thought I'd give the local team a shot. They said they would send someone by to look at the job to give an estimate. The estimator cam by and looked and tinkered with the system for about 45 minutes. in the end he said my control panel wasn't compatible with new generation thermostats. This wasn't hard to believe, we know that the builder relied on a lot of "closeout specials" when building the house 20 years ago. He also mentioned that we may need a new damper. He stated he didn't have the control panel on the truck but he would go back to the office and have them contact me with a quote for the work. He gave me a ballpark but said they office would need to validate once the sourced the exact parts. I agreed and indicated I would wat for the quote even asking how long the job would take. I paid the service call fee on the spot and thanked the technician. Well it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for a callback with a quote (not really anymore). maybe I have a unique facial tick that coincidently tells people to "ignore this man. In the interceding time I've been able to call someone ese have the work done and get on with my life. So much for the local team...
