I can't say enough good things about Cardinal Air! Our AC stopped working during one of the hottest…read moredays of the summer, and Victor Blom responded incredibly fast. He showed up when he said he would, quickly diagnosed the problem, explained everything clearly, and had our air back up and running in no time. It's hard to find someone who's honest, reliable, and truly cares about their customers, but that's exactly what you get with Cardinal Air. The service was professional, reasonably priced, and top-notch from start to finish. If you're looking for HVAC service, repairs, or maintenance, I highly recommend Cardinal Air. Thanks again, Victor, for the excellent service!

I rarely review non-restaurant services or places. BUT when something exceptional or outstanding…read morehappens, I feel it needs to be shared/communicated. THAT was the case with Lucas at Cardinal. I actually saw their truck at a gas station. Recalled my procrastination after getting sales jobbed by another company (the one who installed my $24,000 high velocity system in 2004 and I had only had back once in 15 years) With my mother in law coming up from FL and my system not being serviced for about 5 to 8 years. ( I do inspect and clean it lovingly at least twice a year) I decided what the heck. The nice clean truck and the big logo......I struck up a conversation with the guy! We got scheduled up. VERY flexible and accommodating. i was NOT an emergency so we pushed (mutually agreed) the appointment a few times because others were having big problems. (figured when that time comes for me, maybe i get a time-slice!! :-) Thorough service, great craftsmanship and knowledge. Up to the attic and down in the dungeon, out by the two units. GOT it all done!! Pricing was LESS then the service contract the "other guys" were trying to soak me for OR about HALF what the other guys service call hit the curb price!!!! Very reasonable and personable. Explained everything very well without being insulting and trying to baffle me with BS. (I have a working knowledge of the systems and also went to school for electrical engineering) So if you need AC or Heating and especially if on the North Shore in the Town of Brookhaven (PJ, Miller Place, Mt.Sinai, Sound Beach, Rocky Point etc.) or Smithtown, etc THESE folks should be your first call!!!!

The install went fine & the unit is working well. HOWEVER, I tried numerous times to contact this company by phone & email. & got no response back. (It's like they fell off the face of the earth)!! So I called Soundview & requested that a tech come down to look at a new thermostat I was looking to install. They sent Justin. He could not have been nicer, helpful & informative. He told me that the A/C unit I have does not require a multi stage thermostat & as such, I can return it to Walmart saving me $270. He also explained that the unit though not top of the line, was a good reliable unit that only requires the thermostat I already have. Lastly, Soundview was a pleasure to work with, Justin showed up on time & as a result, they will be my "go to" company for all ongoing A/C requirements. I highly recommend them!! J.F Smithtown

I must be doing something wrong. I know on ur little island the demand for skilled trades…read moreoutstrips the number of service providers there are. And when you subtract out the unlicensed, uninsured people from your list your choices are minimal. I wanted to replace our thermostat after a slight remodel. The old one was dingy and couldn't be salvaged. While we were at it we decided to add WiFi connectivity beacuse, well we don't really have a true need for that but since a thermostat was only a few dollars more i figured, why not. After examining the current thermostat and the wiring at the HVAC unit i was convinced the the job was beyond my skill level. Having seen Soundview shop every day on the way to the gym an knowing a couple of them work out in the same gym, I thought I'd give the local team a shot. They said they would send someone by to look at the job to give an estimate. The estimator cam by and looked and tinkered with the system for about 45 minutes. in the end he said my control panel wasn't compatible with new generation thermostats. This wasn't hard to believe, we know that the builder relied on a lot of "closeout specials" when building the house 20 years ago. He also mentioned that we may need a new damper. He stated he didn't have the control panel on the truck but he would go back to the office and have them contact me with a quote for the work. He gave me a ballpark but said they office would need to validate once the sourced the exact parts. I agreed and indicated I would wat for the quote even asking how long the job would take. I paid the service call fee on the spot and thanked the technician. Well it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for a callback with a quote (not really anymore). maybe I have a unique facial tick that coincidently tells people to "ignore this man. In the interceding time I've been able to call someone ese have the work done and get on with my life. So much for the local team...

Bob arrived for the estimate appointment right on time (which, sadly, isn't the norm for most trades). He was extremely polite and thorough with his measurements and took lots of photos to make sure the job could be correctly. The estimate came to my email a couple of days later and was very reasonable. On installation day, Juan and The Other Guy (sorry, forgot the name) showed up 15 minutes EARLY. They laid down protective covers for the floors and damaged nothing during the process of removing our old tank and bringing down the new one (our tank is in the basement). Mike, the owner, even showed up to work since they were down a guy. In fact, they were the only company that didn't balk at a basement job and didn't try to make it easier on themselves by pushing for an exterior installation or linking two, much smaller tanks. The job was finished much faster than anticipated and when they left, everything was as clean as before. This was a great experience and the company sets a high bar for the field.
